Shaykh 'Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):
"Salafiyyah is following the methodology of the Prophet (salla'Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and his companions because it is they who preceded us, came before us and were ahead of us. Therefore following them is Salafiyyah."
(and this is what we ascribe ourselves to: the way of our Prophet salla'Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam and the righteous predecessors; not limited/affiliation to a specific group of mashaayekh, students of knowledge or websites). May Allaah guide us all and may He rectify our affiars, aameen.

what is tazkiya ? or however its spellt. This is a nice lecture even though im a non muslim i like listening to these :D

e.g. He got tazkiya from such-and-such scholar, means he got recommendation from the scholar for knowledge to be taken from him.
It's a form of praise for the sake of people so that they are aware the individual is a righteous person and that his knowledge is sound and can be taken from.
Some people have a habit of not taking knowledge from someone UNTIL they know the person has been recommended by a scholar or a muslim cleric

I would like to challenge any one of these "brothers" uploading videos of various Muslim da'ees where they cut and paste segments from their lectures and then make a mockery of them... to go to these shuyookh they claim to follow and get a fatwa from them: is this allowed?
Wallahi the videos they upload especially about Abu Mussab are downright disgusting... because they don't disagree with him about anything. They target him just because he speaks out against their clan.
The hadeeth about the woman who prayed and fasted and did all sorts of righteous deeds but ended up in hellfire for backbiting her neighbors and going about spreading gossip between them comes to mind. How will people like this answer for all this backbiting and filth they spread? subhanAllah.

akhi at 12: 50 you said a statement which is incorrect, a muslim is upon sunnah until proven that he isnt.
the correct thing is a muslim is unknown (basically if he is trustworthy, generous, upon the sunnah, good manners and truthful other praiseworthy characteristic or if he could be the opposite of all that) until proven he has one of these characteristics.
so if you dont know a muslim person you dont just believe that he is trustworthy or truthful or has good manners or hes upon the sunnah.
