Ride on Rob! I used to feel like a carried to much stuff when I went. This video reassured my I don’t have enough 🙄.. but I definitely know what I need to add. Thanks for the great info legend 🤙
My buddy's always told me I was crazy when I would pack all the stuff like you got right there. And its saved us couple times. You even gave me a few ideas to carry next time.
One of a kind this guy. Last of a dying breed ! Didn't care about the fancy stuff and just loved being outdoors . Followed his antics when i got into snowmobiling after moving here from the UK. He was the guy who I always wanted to ride with . Rest in peace ✌ hope your family are being looked after ❤
This guy is prepared, never can be too prepared. my uncle was killed in an avalanche 04 in BC Canada, they were professional riders and very prepared, they found him the next day due to weather shutting the search down the day before. They had the right equipment, but found out that he broke his neck getting blown through a tree. I think a lot of people don't think anything can happen to them out there, until its to late and something does happen. Very good video Rob people need to be over prepared when going out. Some people may think that they are too good of rider that they could get out of anything, my uncle was a pro rider and well he's not here anymore.
First Aid Kit , second pair of Gloves.. Tourniquet. I have never ridden in the Mountains but I have skied back Country via from Ski Resort Trails .. I often trail ride alone in MI.. Easy to walk to a road from a groomed trail .. Remember there are vast areas in the Mountains that have no cell phone signal...
Oh, try some metal zipties, they are VERY light and much stronger. Just something to look into, they won't tear so easy with sheetmetal fixes and such.
My Yamaha Attack is so heavy that I had a bag made to carry a come along in .. Now I have a Skidoo Renegade with Lin Q system very handy way to carry extra stuff besides a back pack.. My Skidoo back pack is too tall and hits my neck or helmut.. My Yamaha one is better for that reason.. Also I have a Camelback back pack with water bladder and Insulated tube ..
This is the first Rob Kincaid video I ever saw.. Sort of Ironic as he forgot to turn his Beacon on they day he died.. Had it been on his buddies most likley could have saved him ..
With all due respect, as a pretty decent bushman, I have to say, that's probably more than needed. I think the most important thing is don't head out far alone. If you are going to, there's some other things I'd sure as hell hope you'd bring. The first one... a full tang quality knife, not folding.
Paul Deknikker correct, really. I intended on that sounding humble, not here to boast about my accomplishments. Reasonably, the fact that the snowmobile has (some) fuel and a spark means you've at least got an easy fire if desired.
Man what a bummer dude was prepared for the worst. But forgot to turn his beacon on that day, fatal mistake . mother nature takes no prisoner's. Fly together die together brother . every time I hear about a fellow b.c brother going dwn I have to dry the eye .
He doesn't have all this shit in the back country videos? He doesn't even got a shovel , I wouldn't carry all that shit just don't go alone and tell people where you are going , but then again he's the pro

@Kash Koa definitely, been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
As a woodsman and a snowmobiler, I appreciate someone who understands how to be prepared!

Mother nature rarely gives you a second chance. RIP young man.

Love that Pack, what model was that ? I know this is a bit old but still that pack is nice, and thinking maybe they upgraded it by now ?
Does anyone know if he was using the PIEPS DSP pro that has issues with turning off if it's hit wrong? My heart aches for his family,
I've been searching for that answer for the last hour
