It's almost perfect- I wish he would have paused a beat after the most famous line insread of rushing into the the following one. I do love how he refenced the Globe- he broke the 4th wall beautifully
jessie buckley is a fantastic shakespearean actress. who could tell she comes from the bogs of killarney. lucky girl also gets to make beast of two backs with james norton.
Wow DCI Fred Thursday is having a meltdown lol. you could use a shave too Fred At least we know what Thursday did when he retired from the police and left Morse with mcnutt
@@rationalsceptic7634 You can hear from the audience's reactions that they don't understand the Shakespearean text and are reacting most of all to the gratuitous bits of vaudeville and splastick. Sad.
It's almost like people aren't allowed to bring their own take upon the text. I can't imagine anyone is at the Globe to watch Shakespeare who doesn't understand the text or want to be there, although if indeed such people are then good. You don't have to have a degree in a play to enjoy it, nor music, nor any artistic endeavour.
@@bosiewilder4945 the “gratuitous splastick and vaudeville” as you call it, (lovely spelling, by the way) was written in by Shakespeare. His stuff wasn’t intellectual brilliance at the time, it was for both the queen and the town drunk. You can certainly have your own opinion about the play, but the audience isn’t dumb for laughing at comedy
Roger Allam is great! And Colin Morgan is like an Angel , beautiful entirely a spirit like and brilliant acting!
The only problem with Globe productions.. is they tend to make all the others look pretty amateur. Simply love what they do!
only one that compares is shakespeare in the park in manhattan.
"The great Globe itself..." he said, looking at the Globe.

Totally agree.
First Class any production with Roger Allam in is First Class.
Colin Morgan is brilliant!
Ayy, it's Merlin!
+Jaylie Piatt It's a wizard reunion!
eeeeee!!!
Yes I was wondering, “where do I recognize him from?” The pink makeup threw me for a loop. Then I realized it was Merlin!
I heard this play at the globe. Amazing.
I´d like to own this on CD. Roger Allam has become one of my favourite actors.
I'd sit through Shakespeare just to see Rog 🥰
0:37 dont worry abt this i just need this for my english class
Awesome! Great acting :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this ... :)
His awesome actor but he is still "Merlin for me".
A science fiction film version of this, Forbidden Planet, was considered to be the inspiration for Star Trek
Every story we ever tell Shakespeare told first.
PRINCESS FROM WAR AND PEACE 😂 literally watched that half hour ago
Wonderful act

You might like to correct the description. Jason Baughan played Ferdinand, not Antonio. Unless you are saying Miranda fell in love with her Uncle.....
+Alex Benfield No, Joshua James played Ferdinand...
Nah
Alex Benfield yes?? I've seen the play at the Globe three times... I know who Jason and Joshua are o.O
erm, you're wrong sorrrrrry
+Alex Benfield lol no... have you looked at the Globe website? Or the DVD? I don't want to fight and I would admit if I was wrong... but I'm not.

XxGay GirlxX You can find it on dvd
Commander prothero?
Act 4 Scene 1
I like RSC version more. There is more magic in there
Ariel sounds like a LGBT character ❤❤❤
We are doing a play

omg this reminds me of when I had an affair with my English teacher x we used this as role play x I was always Geordie trinculo ;)
Zoe Catherina What the actual fuck
@@haydenbarnes5110 ikr! like affair with ur teacher-
I know this was 5 years ago but... trinculo of all characters???
Why all the shouting though?
I find that Prospero lacks dignity - too much hysterical screaming for my liking. Ariel is far too static.
Bosie Wilder
Not according to people who were actually there!
