We are nowhere near where Brighton is I know a fire precaution company that pays huge money to rent the Brighton stadium out for Christmas and company football games etc Brighton is a very well run club with investment coming from the fans as well as the board. We are just a shitshow
If we dont get offered 85 million or more, then he stays until the summer when that 85 million release clause kicks in. If he refuses to play, then we dont pay or play him until the summer when again that release clause kicks in. Why should he dictate to us when he's sold. Hopefully the club won't just implode and take the low ball offers that are bound to be submitted
It's NOT that Kudus doesn't want to play for West Ham .....he DOESNT WANT TO PLAY FOR LOPETEGUI!!! Kudus has fallen out with Lopetegui, Alvaerz has fallen out with Lopetegui, Areola has fallen out with Lopetegui, Todibo has fallen out with Lopetegui, Fullkrug has fallen out with Lopetegui, Emerson is unhappy playing under Lopetegui, Summerville feels let down by Lopetegui..... are you not seeing a pattern here ? Do you need it in bright lights ? GET RID 9F THE CANCER THAT IS LOPETEGUI!!
It's the manager and his onturage we need rid of, I believe we have the players apart from 2 strikers. We do not need a lot of players going out or we are bk at sq1. If we are to have any chance to move forward then KUDUS has to stay.
We should have been flying this season, and players would be happy (you'd like to think). We managed to keep all our key players. Same old story - poor requirement again. How we didn’t solve the striker issue is insane. We had Durán in the bag for £40m. WTF.
I am with you Mark. I don't want us to sell our best players (especially to Arsenal) but he is not being played in his best position and, if we can get top money for him, we could get a top striker and a central midfielder with pace in his place
Either the Brighton/ipswich striker incoming and also a creative midfielder with the money from kudos. His a luxury Player considering we have Bowen Summerville and The Brazilian on the books.
It is very very hard to break that cycle of signing players like Kudos or Paqueta and then losing them to a "bigger" club unless you have regular top four finishes and therefore European football. There are exceptions of course, Leicester, but they couldn't sustain it and Villa who may not be able to get top four again this season. I think even Jarod Bowen has a price: Sullivan will sell if that price is high enough i.e Declan Rice type money. It would be a tough decision for Bowen if a club bidding for him can give him Champions league football. He's certainly good enough. Mark, I think you're right about funds from the sale of Kudos. But can "Management" be trusted to spend it wisely? Pre-season the signings looked great but some have turned out to be donkeys.
As usual though, it's difficult to get teams to spend a lot of money in January, and if they think that teams are desperate to sell players and cash in, they'll leave it until late in the transfer window and try and low-ball...
Condolences to J. Lopetegui. Without having an assured idea of manager, don't know about any type of rebuild. Not convinced there's an £80m. player anywhere in Prem. league. Adhere to unsettled players should be sold, quite who will scout any newcomers is guesswork. We could do without the previous carve-up.
I could live with the sale of Kudus if we invested in a good striker but our track record in that department hardly inspires confidence. More likely that we sign a dud for loads of money and sell him off in a year for a hefty loss, and back to square one.
Hear me out: let’s say we sell kudus for X amount of money , especially if we sell to Liverpool (but more likely Arsenal). Firstly, we have Summerville ready to take his place on the left and due to no Europe that’s probably the best decision With the kudus money we re invest that money in the goalkeeper position e.g. kelleher or someone up and coming We reinvest the money in a top out and out striker , as well as a number 6 (in preparation of Alvarez leaving) then we can bring in Potts in the start of next season into the first team As well as building that spine of the team (maybe a new left back or another right winger incase Bowen goes down injured , preferably integrate earthy into the team) I would like to here your thoughts mark or anyone else who watches and is subbed to the channel I can honestly think the kudus sale could help us in the long run
I know the feeling mate but we are where we are. Realistically making a 40/50m profit in 18 months is good business. But I agree it’s not easy to swallow
Thats what paqueta kudus Alvarez all cane to westham for to use us as a stepping stone Summerville will probably do the same and probably Guilherme if his given a chance were never be a club these players will stay with aslong as we have the likes of Sullivan in charge
If Kudus wants to leave then it’s just about the price. He’s not putting the effort in like he did last season so I’m expecting him to be gone in January
Maybe because he was being played in his best position last season. Every player will be frustrated if they are played in their lest favourite position
The problem with Kudus is his best position is on the right and we have Bowen there so no brainer to cash in. If we get £85 million we can get 2 decent players in and would be good business ( if Tim does his homework)
Last season was Bowen's beat season and he played up front why do you think his best position is on the right. Kudus last season was a beast and he was played on the right, why doesn't JLO want to play the players in their best positions?
It’s not just that he doesn’t want to be here but the manager keeps playing him out of position anyway, we might as well cash in, we ain’t getting the best from him. Not sure about reuniting with Rice though, didn’t we buy him with the rice money? Arsenal have Saka left , I will only be gutted if they play him in the 10 and he does well, will show how clueless loopy and Moyes were.
I can’t believe that anyone one that supports WHU would want us sell him we know are club you think their going to spend that on replacements no . Grab some over the hill cheap players.
Selling Kudus would show a complete lack of any ambition. It doesn't matter who you buy or sell ...the problem is Lopetegui!!! The man is a useless clueless tactically inept moron and a cancer that is eating away at this club.... selling Kudus solves nothing and building a team that Lopetegui wants ? Welcome to Moyes 2.0 the Spanish edition...a team devoid of any class, creativity or talent .... want improvement in January??? Sack Lopetegui NOW !!!
If we bring in more than one player I’ll be very surprised if we bring in no one I’d not be shocked we’re crap at buying and selling like you I think it would be good business to sell kudus he’s less useful on the left Bowen place is on the right so he’s a luxury we playing out of position most of the time a good striker is what’s needed
You're talking as if the rest of your players have been any better😂. Your best player/captain has also dropped in form like the rest so what's your point?😏. How many goals has your striker scored this season?😂. Your only stand out player so far has been AWB. Overrated or not, Kudus has been one of your best players and still is. I love Summerville but don't even compare him to Kudus on his day😏, he looks up to him. I don't even know where this useless comparison started from, when they both excel in different positions with different profiles 🙄🤷♀️. It's funny how y'all forget that the only reason y'all did very well last season was because of these same players y'all insult today. Pure nonsense
So west ham are keeping this clueless clown of a manager, and selling one of our best players, probably because they don’t get along and Kudus wants to leave? F’ing ridiculous. I can’t watch this circus anymore.
To be honest I don't mind selling Kudus because he doesn't look happy & his body language comes across as sulky! Will we get 85 million for him remains to be seen!
Thanks Mark and you make some good points. My issues are 1. What players will be available in the Jan window even if we did raise 85-100,000? 2. Kudus at the top of his game is one of our top 2 or 3 players. I would prefer, if we do sell, do it in the summer when we can be a bit more strategic and get in the right players
WHWC, Sully has absolutely no tact or class. Almost everything wrong with this club stems from ripple effect of this lack of class. Why would any player wanna play for a circus. You call yourself a WH fan and and like me, u have expressed in many negative wayssay how this club has been run. U mention, "Kudus is a wonderful player". But I get the impression u are feeling butt hurt so much by his departure that u have to stick the boot in by adding, "I don't think he is worth £100 mil". You should be pushing for him to be sold at £120 mil.
If anybody genuinely thinks that world-class players are going to come to West Ham and stay here when we don’t even play Champions League football, you need to give your head a wobble. We pick up a few gems sell them for big money reinvest that money in the squad.
Except we could, if we hired a decent manager. It was only three years ago that Villa were relegation fodder, after not long ago spending three years in the Championship.
Does 8 goals and 9 assists in 22/23 and only 2 goals and 1 assist this season really warrant the praise Kudus gets? Good player but overrated. Cashing in makes sense but I agree £100M will not happen - more like £50-60.
Fair enough @Bra_wroboht Even in the Eredivisie, Kudus' best output was still only 11 goals 3 assists. He's clearly a good player but not a £100M player and far from it.
@@Bra_wroboht most of these West Ham fans are ungrateful.Bowen has being shambolic all this season( apart from the wolves game) but no body talks about him in a negative way probably because he is british so he is protected Kudus Coached by the right coach is a worldbeater. We've gone from 'world class players in a world class stadium', to aspiring to copy the Brighton model.
A smart comment

We have more rebuilds than London Bridge.

If we dont get offered 85 million or more, then he stays until the summer when that 85 million release clause kicks in. No issue with selling Kudus, there are 13 teams above us without a Kudus.
Surely not another rebuild after such a amazing summer window
Maybe people can learn their lessons next time we sign 7 players in a summer
In my head its absolutely out of the question to have another rebuild in the middle of the season.
