Orii Station, Hamada, Japan - Real-life location of Shoujo Rei MV

Orii Station was celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. My grandfather, who passed away before I was born, was the stationmaster of this station. It is said that he had a reputation as a stationmaster who always cleaned the station. The station is now unmanned. The old small station building is painted in the color of the sea seen from Orii Beach. The stones that my father told me my grandfather had placed there seem to be intact. My father spent his happy boyhood in a house right next to the station, with the beautiful sea in front of it. He passed away last year. The blue color of the sea on this beach was more beautiful than I had imagined. Also, the sunset is beautiful.
