You guys should have the plastic window on all of the windows as well. In heavy rain or weather would be nice to look out and still keep weather out. Also should add a Diesel heater intake for tent on the cold cold nights 😊

I've been living overland for 20 months in my 2.0 mounted on my Lexus GX470, and love it. But now I'm jealous. How I'd love to keep my sleeping bag inside.
I really like the mods, and iKamper listening to feedback from customers. The only thing I didn’t understand was the elimination of the plastic windows. Thought those added warmth but also allowed you to keep the panoramic views in any weather, or time of day/night.
@@iKamper That makes absolute sense. Possible alternative. Make the vinyl an optional “insert” by extending the zipper to all four sides instead of a roll-up function. @@iKamper I’m considering this RTT for summer/early fall camping. I do a lot of fall and winter hot tent camping/ice fishing using an Eskimo 650i hub and they use velcro all of the way around their vinyl windows which allows me to 1. Remove the window to run a wood stove and use a custom made stove jack to velcro into the window spot when I’m not running propane and 2. Replace if and when needed. Although I haven’t see the 3.0 in person to see if it could be done and where, consider integrating a full velcro vinyl window to be used and replaceable if needed.
Hi, Have my Skycamp mini for 2years now, and think the following improvements are required : • Front opening should open from bottom up and not top down. • Tent clam top must get handle on outside to pull down to close easier. • The keys in the lock makes opening latches difficult to operate • The mattress needs 10mm insulation as aluminium base is extremely cold.
What a great video and product! Going forward on the 4.0 and upgraded 4" mattress, with mount flexible solar panels and 2 fans to install at the windows would be great!
Yall did such an amazing job on these campers. I saw one mounted on a Jeep Gladiator and it said iKamper, looked it up and found out this amazing camper system thats installable. You guys did a truly astounding job, everything is thought out.
Hey. I have used IKAMPER SKY 2.0 3 years with my family and we had a problem in every moning. The mattress and bottom was really wet every morning from condensation because there was no air circulation . It wastes 2 to 3 hours of time to dry the mattress. Last season ofcourse we found a solution. We put a thick sheep blanket under the mattress, which raises the mattress above the floor and creates air gaps between the floor and the mattress. In cold weather mattress is warmer too under the sides and bottom
I appreciate every improvement you have made, and even a simple cable hole can make the use of a roof tent more enjoyable. I want to ask you really nice - could you in version 4.0 add the option to mount flexible solar panels?
@@iKamper SolarHawk looks great, howewer I was hooping for something like space for hooks I can put under outer shell, more versatile and not taped "forever". Still thank you for info about SolarHawk!

For the premium price that you spend for this roof top tent can I ask why the 2 shoe bags are sold separately and there’s no built in led strip lights like the cheaper option the roof nest condour XL? Thanks

You guys need to make something in-between the 3.0 and the 3.0 Mini. The 3.0 will overhang the bed of even a long bed truck and that's not a good look. For people who do the mid-height bed rack to keep the tent down below or at the roofline for fuel economy would really be better served by a 3 person design that would allow camping 2 people with more room for gear or just not being shoehorned together.
I’d love to see some size comparisons with an actual couple, family, etc. I’ve got a wife and two young kids. It’s really hard to tell how spacious these are without some size comparisons.
Something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. Can the ladder be removed while you are in the tent? Or removed at all? Is it critical to the stability of the fold-out section?
So saving me another 4k can I trade in my 2.0 for the 3.0????? Hahaha but seriously can I unzip the rain fly/ canvas and upgrade to the new ones? The black and grey color scheme looks way better

Great presentation on IKamper 3.0 Mini. I'm looking at Roofnest but I think i'm leaning towards Ikamper. I thought Ikamper was 1K more expensive but now it seems cheaper. Well Done!
You guys need to make an aluminum shell version of the skycamp and mini 3.0. I am waiting to see if another company will make one as big as the skycamp 3.0. 23Zero came out with the armadillo A which is like yours just not as wide. I think you guys still have the widest side open hardshell tent.
Really nice but getting rid of the plastic side windows seems like a poor decision. Users like this in driving horizontal rain rather that locking themselves up in an enclosed tent. It seems like such a step backwards removing these and really was part of your USP.
I like how the outer window covers pull up. I don’t see any way to secure them down like the zippers on the older model, looks like they might make a lot of noise on a windy night.
For Outback Wilderness, will 3.0 standard (4 people) fit? Also, when not in use, does it need to stored flat on surface or if can be put upright on one of the side?
I am switching from a tepui to the new skycamper mini 3.0. The shoe storage pouch for the tepui ia conveniently located near the ladder. You can hang your legs outside the tent (while sitting inside) and put your shoes on. It looks the the ikamper requires you to hang the shoe carrier further in closer to the vehicle. How is this working out? can it be relocated closer to the ladder?

Do you have a detailed video how best to close the iKamper Mini 3.0. Main question - I have just deinstalled my iKamper Skycamp 3.0 for the first time and when I folded over the extended piece. Stowing the ladder etc, it did not lay flat - it looked like it was resting on the canvas tent area, partially folded. Held up by the canvas. Is this normal? In other words when you pull down the clamshell cover this would all release and the folded over section would then be fully flat. I’m just concerned that I am forcing something and potentially could break/ stretch something. Any advice that you can offer? Do you have a super detailed video I’m your video library that you can share with me?
