Gly, I explored that mine a few years ago. I went to the upper adit, it was full of bats and ammonia, really big open areas in it but really bad air. I was gasping for air and it took about twenty minutes to get my breath. There is a really big shaft near there but I didn't have the proper gear to repel down in it.
Love your drone footage, my favorite, outstanding. That rock work wall, did that for a purpose. That drone, good, better to view those bees than in person, good cautions prevail. Throw a rock in, see if they are really gone. I lived around farms, Dairy air. Smelt air from a pig farm, several, rancit bad bad smell. Guano must be 50 times worse. New view, quite deep, don't you think. Now your down that far, don't take that ladder up. One deep hole. Is there a safe way down, so do you dare going that route with out rope. Yes, Gly, I remember that mine, never seen such pile of bat s**t, that place was huge, no further mentioning. Seen some trace of mineralization. I agree, it is way too deep, forget going down, no rope or mask, all that bat s**t. Scorpion weed, wow, i've been stung by nettles as a kid, i can't imagine the pain you went through, my goodness Gly, the annoyance of it all, sorry for the ordeal you went through. The next place, looking forward to it.
Thanks Gly, I take my hat off to you for walking through that cess pit of Bat guano. You shouldn't have risked that buddy, it made my skin crawl lol. Take care and see you next week as always.

Geez Mr. Coolness, a fella would've thought you'd go ahead and smear some of that junk under your nose that they use at the morgue for people who can't handle stinky stuff and just head on down to the bottom of that incline. But it's ok, we'll just go on through our lives always kinda wonderin'. There was probably nuthin' neat down there anyways. Thanks for showin' us half a mine tho...
Why oh why , Gly do you want us to smell that guano ? That’s what we have you for !🤩 If there ever in Smellovision , I’m sorry Gly , I probably won’t watch you anymore ! But I’ll watch you now ! 😆🤣😎

Yikes! hula girl still doesn't have a skirt. (ruffle some tissue around her.) I remember seeing the tiered foundation of the mill site from your previous filming. At 11;54, no bees, but consider the time of the year, no flowers yet. At 15:24, you're panning the area and going past "Old Bob"; he sure looks good with that set of tires. The scorching you pointed out was probably fires to create smoke to drive the bats out. At 26:02, man!! the ceiling was just "black" with bats. Then at 31:34, you're saying, "yep, it does go to 700ft" but without a respirator I'm sure glad that you didn't tackle that part of the adit. Don't know how you stood gagging on the stink up to that far, but thanks for going as far as you could stand it. WHAT AN EXPLORER!..ha,ha.
Hey Gly, I watched it this morning and another amazing video and that was a lot of bats 😂 but that leads me to my question of I think you said you were going to post the link to the other video where there was a whole lot more back guano. I might just be missing it but is that somewhere in the comments? I guess worst case scenario I'll just watch every one of your videos again 👍 and that wouldn't be a bad thing 😁
Great explore - nice bats 🦇 😂 …you’ve reminded me of a few trips I’ve made (UK to US) with some “challenges”. On one occasion I got Florida fire ants crawling all over my bare feet (in sandals) - when walking on a Naples FL beach (and yes they did BITE); and then on a Harley Davidson bike rental trip from San Fran through CA, AZ, UT and CO we had to avoid killer bees 🐝, rattlers and other potential menaces! 😅 🧨⛏🧨⛏🇬🇧
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really love your videos. The only thing that would be better is if you made them longer. Can’t wait for next week to see what you have in store for us then. Stay safe and out of the scorpion weed. That rash looked painful and aggravating, so thanks for sharing that. I’d have probably stomped through it too cuz I’ve never heard of it.

Bat Guano was highly sought after for fertilizer. One of the larger deposits was mined from the Grand Canyon Caverns. But in 1910 there was a process that extracted nitrates from air and ruined the value of Guano.
