Preserving the Fall Harvest

Won’t you join me on a week of harvesting, slicing, dicing, cooking, canning, freezing, drying, curing and more. Boy this is a busy time of year and can I just tell you that I honestly LOVE every minute of it. While there was successes and failures in the garden this year, there is still a bounty to be had. . . AND I want to preserve every bit of that hard work for the long cold winter months ahead. #everybitcountschallenge
This is especially important and hits close to home as many of our family members were right in the path of Hurricane Helene’s devastation. Our immediate family in Western North Caroline is safe but many lives were lost and so many homes and livelihoods destroyed. Our hearts, prayers and so much love go out to each and every one. While so many have lost so much, it is even more important to be good stewards that which we have so graciously been blessed. I will not let one morsel go to waste if I can help it.
