- Today in the pool, we caught Miss Violet swimming. At first, we thought it was likely she’d fallen in. Ecstatic nonetheless, that she was confidently swimming towards the exit. That is all we’ve ever wanted for her. To be able to save herself if she fell in.
But we soon realised, there was more to it than it simply being an accident.
Usually she is asleep on the sun beds with her sister. But today, she was on the ramps along with the rest of the pack eager to jump in along with them after the toys.
After getting a push one time by some of the doggies, Miss Violet made the launch all by herself and gee … I was as happy and excited as I was that time seeing Zac do it for himself the first time.
This is such a big thing for Miss Violet.
From her beginnings, at one stage struggling to walk in a straight line. She’s now swimming in the pool after a toy along with the pack.
What can she not do??
We also opened some parcels from some very generous and thoughtful followers. Thank you so very much. We have been a little behind, I’m sorry. But we’re catching up.

Little Miss Violet, the Little Mermaid! What an amazing girl!
Freddo is usually swimming, protecting or leading the pack and it seems like we rarely hear him bark. What a fantastic 'I'm the King of the Farm' bark he has! LOVE LOVE LOVE Freddo!

Just love Freddo-he was so excited. Miss Violet was so cute. After she went swimming the first time and she was running around it was as if she was saying "did you see me? did you see me, mum? I did so good and it was so much fun!" She is fearless!🐶🐶💚💚

Oh, Miss Violet.❣ From a pup who would walk in circles and could barely stand up and walk without falling over or in a straight line. Too a flat-out racer and swimming to get in on the pool action. As Luke said, we all need to take a page out of Miss Violet's book and live each day to the fullest.💯

When miss violet was a pup and was so unsteady on her feet I thought this poor pup what sort of life will she have with also her limited sight & hearing but nothing seems to stop she has grown stronger & bigger by the week, you have given her the live & environment in which for her to succeed & blossom in. Miss violet is a shining example of not letting things hold you back.

Thousands of miles away, in my living room in Las Vegas, I as holding my breath and then squealing with glee to see Violet swimming toward the toy and getting there first! Such joy to see her like this. “I’m a big girl!”

I agree. Sometimes Miss Violet's vision seems normal. I was wondering if it can improve. She did go after the toy, but she also seemed to follow the fishing lure. And, she definitely seems to favour one ramp over the other ... got the pool surrounds mapped out in her head.🥰🥰

The sight of Miss Violet intentionally swimming and seeking out floating play objects is truly marvellous. It seems her visual perception improves with time or somehow all her senses are working more progressively together as she discovers another thing she can do and she sure does seem to delight in her new achievement . It was the viewing of the dogs joyful pool activity that first attracted me to following The Farm's journey two years ago. It is a huge credit to the people at the farm who give this neurollogically diverse puppy the quality of life to thrive so well.

I felt like Miss Violet's mom: both afraid AND excited when she neared the edge of the ramp! No more fears once she landed in the water, and Miss Violet the mermaid was born! That last shot showed even a bit of a leap into the pool! Can't wait to see what that girl does next. As the great William Shakespeare once said, "Though she be but little, she is fierce." i love faith too and it's my mission to figure out exactly where she's hiding in every video. she's well guarded and very timid plus sick. i watched her reaction with all dogs running towards her on dock. kinda fearful with sudden change in the launch pattern....she hugged the fence then left quickly. even though she does enjoy the hugs/praises she removes herself quickly when the other dogs approach. she's more relax when it's one on one. ❤ 😞

Lily is so savvy. She picks her toy first thing and keeps it in her mouth the whole time. While Luke throws out new toys, she already has hers to thrash around.

Miss Violet, all but gave me a heart attack!!! Her first recorded jump, she was in the middle of some bigger dogs, struggled a bit!! I wanted to jump in and save her...But she saved herself!! MISS VIOLET, THE LITTLE DOG THAT CAN!!! If she wants to do something, she just jumps in and does it!! Love that little girl! Wolfie looks so grown up in his shorts and tennis shoes. Luke is such a great father!!!
