Thanks a lot for this explanation it really heped me cler my fundamental doubts. I was studying alternating current and came across this video and i am so glad that finally my concpts about voltage are clear which I couldn’t ask to my teachers.❤
@@shabihatabassum1938 In the galvanic cell Zinc acts as anode and Copper as cathode When you just connect the copper and zinc plates there is Zn2+ ion build up in the solution because zinc plate loses two electrons.. while on the other side there is build up of Anionic part of Copper solution( usually SO4²-) .So these charge buildups due to ions just stop the reaction very quickly if they stay there, because of charge imbalance A salt bridge acts like a path for these ions so that they can migrate and thus the excessive ions are kept in control and thus reaction keeps going on. .. Hope this helps
So far I have read that it's negatively charged electrons that move in an electric circuit but here I see positive charge (i deduce protons) moving.....may be this video is meant for higher beings.
Work is Force Applied through a displacement parallel to the force applied W=F*r (dot product). A Negative Work means that the F vector goes in the opposite direction of the displacement vector, so they are at 180deg. Dot product of F*r = Frcos(angle), with 180, the cosine is negative.
Electric potential and voltage are same thing Voltage OR Potential = work done in bringing a unit +ve charge from infinity (zero potential where electric field is zero) to that point against the electric field. Voltage difference OR Potential Difference = work done in moving a unit +ve charge from *ONE POTENTIAL* to *ANOTHER POTENTIAL* EMF = Originating point of voltage is termed as emf OR birth place of voltage where voltage is created called emf like in generator, battery we call emf. EMF and voltage are same just different name.
I remember your 4-handed smileys from the Learn Engineering transistors video. Now they have a worthy opponent in these cursed ions
Your hardwork is really very appreciable. By seeing your efforts, I get highly motivated.
I LOVE both this channel, and Learn Engineering
This brand new channel is an awesome project! So cool, as we are used to Learn Engineering. Congratulations!
this is an amazing video, it explains PE as well as a battery.
I have a full understanding of voltage and this is a total trainwreck to follow.
I'm not sure where to even begin...
Awesome! Keep making scientific videos.
Thanks a lot for thinking about us i am really weak at science this channel will help me a lot.
I came from learn engineering
You know that and i am happy to be
The frist subscribers of this big (future) channel
You're right. Me too

Why did he say that work is negative in copper case?
Very nice explanation and also the English accent. I like it.
Thank you so much ❤
Thanks a lot for such a beautiful explanation!
Excellent work man.
Can you please explain WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF ENERGY DENSITY AND SELF ENERGY in the topic of electrostatics and capacitance!
Great explanation!
Loving your new channel
Awesome work keep it up
Excellent...best wishes
I don t understand how the salt bridge balances the charges.
John Papadopoulos I have a feeling the answer is found by googling galvanic cell.
Yes I am confused too

All the best for your new channel
Love this channel
Your videos are very helpful sir
Please make one video on the concept of internal resistance
Those smiley faces is what nightmares are made of.

Very usefull channel
thanks for general information
greate explaining

I always love this narrator's voice please send me his profile...
Please answer the question why the current is same in the series circuit this is the question which will always doubt please help me
In 3:00. Why point A have electrical potential more than point B ?
I am subscriber number 1.85 K

Amazing

zinc ions and copper ions are all ions that are positively charged. how come the work bringing electrons close are different signed.
in mathematical terms, what's the difference betwewn negative and positive work?
Work is Force Applied through a displacement parallel to the force applied W=F*r (dot product). A Negative Work means that the F vector goes in the opposite direction of the displacement vector, so they are at 180deg. Dot product of F*r = Frcos(angle), with 180, the cosine is negative.
super
Why doesn't the blub glow in the end?
Why did he say that work is negative in copper case?
That look on the Zinc ion's face lol

Hello! i'm a foreigner. It would be cool if you make english subtitles in your videos!
there is subtitles
Electric potential and voltage are same thing
Voltage OR Potential = work done in bringing a unit +ve charge from infinity (zero potential where electric field is zero) to that point against the electric field.
Voltage difference OR Potential Difference = work done in moving a unit +ve charge from *ONE POTENTIAL* to *ANOTHER POTENTIAL*
EMF = Originating point of voltage is termed as emf OR birth place of voltage where voltage is created called emf like in generator, battery we call emf. EMF and voltage are same just different name.
Voltage is specifically a difference in potential. You cannot have a lone voltage without something to reference it to (e.g. a defined ground).
