That is too funny. Opposites do attract 😁. I might be able to stay on the cruise if it was warmer and maybe in the Caribbean 😂. Thanks for watching. ❤️
Nicely done! That is a LONG trip, I did it last year. 10 ports in 12 days is a lot and doesn't leave much down time BUT there is so much to see and do, it's incredible! I've been blessed to travel a lot and the Princess British Isles trip is probably my best trip ever. So much history and different cultures. Regal Princess ship was awesome, great captain and crew. Shout out to our friends Rusty, Vladimir in the Allegro dining room, those guys are awesome.
Thank you for making me feel normal 😁. I am happy to hear someone else say this. The crew is amazing and we had the BEST Cruise Director, Allie. I would love to do this trip again, but spend 3-4 days in each port and really soak it all in. Thanks for watching. ❤️
We sailed with Regal Princess in June 2024 on a similar 12 day itinerary to the British Isles. Our conclusions were much like your observations. We were ready to disembark at about day 7 to travel on our own. Since we did not take any ship excursions and arranged our own sightseeing; we always felt rushed to get back to the ship by 5 pm. The food was mediocre and no dish was outstanding. The crew and level of service was outstanding and by far the Regal Princess' strongest asset. The ship and our cabin felt worn and in need of a refresh. Our reason for choosing Princess was to travel with elderly family members for whom this pace of travel was ideal. We loved our pre and post cruise side travels to London and Amsterdam. PS Go Cincinnati!
I am so happy to hear that we were not the only ones that felt this way. I agree with your comment. Food was disappointing, but the service was always great. You must of got on the ship right after we got off. Curious, did you have any cancelled ports? We really wanted to go to the Orkney Islands. Thanks for watching. ❤️
@@MileswithMcConkey No cancelled ports. We did go to Orkney Islands. The Regal Princess docked at Kirkwall. I think it depends the presence of other ships on the day. All we did was a walking tour of Kirkwall. Saw the Viking inspired cathedral and a town history museum. We also witnessed a Scottish bachelor party. The groom was covered in molasses and corn flakes. His friends shrink wrapped him to a centuries old grave stone in front of the cathedral while next to him a Palestine protest was happening. That was one of the best local experiences we saw on the whole trip. The weather was cold, wet and windy that day. Wished I had packed a knit cap.
The longer the cruise the better for me but my husband feels like you.
