Wow, it seems as he really believes in everything he is saying, so absorved by his character that almost behaves as a Henry/Anne defender! Amazing. Love him.
there is something majestic in the way he is speaking..
I've just watched the whole series on Netflix, and Jonathan was wonderful! It has made me look at King Henry VIII differently. I do think that Jonathan was a very sexy actor for the part, but who cares... why not? The message is the same! Maybe more history should be told like this, and it would make everyone more interested in the subject.
you do hear it in later interviews. i believe he's a method actor, and so he was still partially in character during this interview (I think he kept his 'english accent during active filming of the show).
I know I shouldn't type this, but I'm in love with an actor!

why does it seem like actors and actresses from other countries, ie: English , irish , Australian etc. seem so much more skilled in their acting abilities and articulate than American actors/ Actresses?

Henry was a mess.
I watched the series when it was released! It's depressing the story when he sentenced his friends and all those who pressed for him to death! In the end it was not interesting from the point of view of acetate! Dictator, blah, blah, blah!
