Motorcycle spark plugs are an important component in the motorbike ignition system. Your motorbike will feel more comfortable when you ride it if the spark plugs on your motorbike have no problems. Many people don't know how spark plugs work, so when motorbike spark plugs are damaged, many drivers don't immediately handle the motorbike spark plugs.
Motorcycle spark plugs are one of the important components of a motorbike. If the spark plug is damaged it will result in the fireplace system not working perfectly. Spark plugs also have a high risk of damage, so you must always maintain the condition of the spark plugs so that they function properly.
The function of motor spark plugs is to convert the electrical voltage transmitted by the coil into a spark that will burn the mixture of fuel and air in the engine room at the end of the compression stroke. For those of you who don't really understand the function of motorbike spark plugs.
Use only the type of spark plug recommended in
recommended spark plug heat range.
1. Place your scooter on its side stand on a flat surface.
2. Remove the carpet.
3. Remove the screw.
4. Remove the spark plug hole cover by inserting the tip of a flat-head screwdriver covered with protective cloth into the gap at the bottom of the spark plug hole cover.
5. Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
6. Clean the dirt around the spark plug hole.
7. Remove the spark plug using the spark plug wrench provided
8. Install the new spark plug. With the spark plug ring in place, install the spark plug by hand to avoid lopsided installation.
9. Tighten the spark plug:
● If using new spark plugs, tighten twice to prevent loosening:
a) First, tighten the spark plug: 1/2 turn after the spark plug touches the seat
b) Then loosen the spark plug.
c) Then, tighten the spark plug again: 1/8 turn after the spark plug touches the seat
ATTENTION
Spark plugs that are not properly tightened can damage the engine.
If the spark plug is too loose, the piston can be damaged.
If the spark plug is too tight, the threads can be damaged.
ATTENTION
Using spark plugs with an incorrect heat range can cause engine damage.
10. Reinstall the parts in the reverse order of removal.
When replacing the spark plug cap, do not pinch the cable or wire.
