I have Plan "G". I'm 76 years old and my wife is 67. Both very active and very healthy at this point in our lives. My RX insurance company is no longer going to provide RX insurance for 2025. I have 3 insurance companies now to take care of my Medicare Supplements. One of course is for actual Medicare supplement, one for RX and one for Dental, Hearing, & Vision. I need to find a new RX plan. In doing so, I'm trying to find one company that covers plan "G" and the DHV. These two videos I've watched here are very well explained and easy to understand, well done! I will call into your office/system tomorrow or the next.
Mediare supplement plans do not add benefits, they cover only what Medicare covers. Your Part D plan is a stand alone plan. It has nothing to do with Plan G. Please see my video on the 2025 plans here: partdshopper.com/ You can see which Plan I would recommend by using the 2025-Part D link.
Yard worker, 10-16-2019. I have been watching Mr. Claasen for about 5 years now, I have gotten most of my education about Medicare from him. Now is my turn to react. I will be calling in the next couple days for my supplement, plan G of course, also changing my part D plan also. I have called/stopped by a couple places local and nothing is to my liking here local. Mr Claasen just sounds good to me. I have been in Medicare for about 9 years and about 4-5 different co;s. the explanation from Mr. Claasen is the best I've heard about how to pick a insurance co. Your time will be spent to your benefit to listen to him.
I have been calling around trying to understand. People all ready on this won't say a word. not wondering why so when someone asks about it I will tell them what I am doing it. This man is doing a great job. still not sure what to do since I am poor to cover the costs and getting under $900 a month on ss will not pay my bills after taking out for these but thank you for explaining and being honest - what a breathe of fresh air!
Everything about your videos is understandable and what I most appreciate is that you are a grounded person that has no hidden agenda. I gave copies of my notes from your video on Medicare Supplements to 2 people at my job & I told them about you and your videos. I told them that once they see you and hear you, they will trust the knowledge that you give them. It is a rare thing to watch videos from a specific person and know that he/she has your best interests at heart and you are one of those people, Thank You.
For anyone in doubt about Matthew Claassen, let me assure you that he is the real deal. You can trust him, and trust his advice. He is my "go to" guy re. anything medicare. Thanks , Matthew!
These videos are so very informative and valuable!! I am 63 and 1/2 and am trying to get ahead of the game in making Medicare decisions and these videos have made a huge difference in my decision making process.
The salesman is right, I have been on Plan G for 18 years had 3 knee scopes, 3 different back surgies , herina repairs and a hip surg. replace plus many minor hospital stays and the plan G took of all but $185.00 each year deductable
Hi Mathew, I enjoyed your explanation G vs F vs N because you spoke to the common folk how we can understand and now look at each and compare for our personal needs. THANK YOU!! Mauria
So ..for Part B we pay 134$ mo plus we pay 20$ co pay for dr visit..plus 200$ deduct plus 20% of total bill...ok...what about the overage dumped on us for AMOUNT ALLOWED by medicare on the charges by Dr. and tests...? They only allow so much if Dr bill comes to 6t00$ for visit and labs they may only allow 280$ ..so then we have 200 deduct + 20 $ copay+ 20% of total bill + 320$ on ' not allowed' chgs by dr..making poor me owe out of pocket 680$ ???? Is 200$ deductable on every visit to Dr or once a year?
Good idea. At 65 you could have this plan and its price increases for decades. Let us help you find a plan that will be a low cost over your lifetime: medigapseminars.org/quotes/medigap-quote-request/
My wife and I are enrolled in Plan F from UHC. Knowing that F is closed to new enrollees I share your concern about F premium increase as the average age of the enrolled population increases. F was nice at first. We just paid the premiums and did not have to worry about anything else. I have been on automatic pilot as far as annual renewal so will have to did deeper this year.
Thanks, Matt. It already feels like you are part of our family circle. Your words are bringing what we need: order to a confusing and somewhat fearful topic, calmness, facts in an orderly fashion, and best of all your willingness to speak to us personally as needed (or someone in your office). This is my third video I've watched over the last several days, and after doing a bit more research and a couple more videos, I imagine I'll be contacting you to switch from my advantage plan. Thanks for bringing some sanity to the huge word of medicare!!
The company am using is a A Plus, has been in business for over 100 years, not sure when they came in and jumped on the Medicare bandwagon. But they are pretty good at paying the other 20 percent off and plus. If you meet your Medicare deductible, they will pay anything Medicare doesn't. I expect their premium's to go up in 2020, by how much I do not know. I did not have to do an application when I made them my supplemental company.
Hi Pumpum Jam. Sound like you have a Plan G. re: "I did not have to do an application when I made them my supplemental company." Yes you did. It's required and is part of your policy. You probably did it electronically. It's in your policy, near the end.
After hours of research and reading (frequently in a fog of confusion) I am so appreciative of some clear information. I will be watching more of these YT videos!
Very clear and helpful. I have been on plan F for many years. Two issues: 1) I can barely afford it, premium rise coming up in the fall but new health issues preclude me from switching to another plan. 2) I am allergic to many drugs & much of allopathic treatment is not a good fit because of my particular issues. I don't want to cancel my supplement plan to afford integrative or functional care in case I need surgery, emergency care, etc. I pay a high premium for care that isn't working for me. Now what?
Recently I've been thinking of getting a Medicare Supplemental plan. Then today (I must have been whispering my thoughts) one of your videos showed up on my homepage with its suggested videos. I'm glad for that. Thank you for your work and detailed explanations. Especially concerning the pitfalls to look out for.
Your video was very informative. I have Plan G with Mutual of Omaha and have had since 2019, but the premium has increased so much,I need to change companies. I will be calling for the best Company for me. Thank You. Judie Miller
I wish I could answer your requests in an orderly fashion but alas I must use greeting card/yearbook sayings and say "your great". Thank you. I signed up for Advantage only to find it's a bad joke where I live. One Dr in all of Key West and forget any specialist. Your information has helped a tremendous amount.

Sorry I didn't watch this video before I enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan....which was a huge mistake! Great video, easy to understand a difficult and confusing thing such as Medicare. Watch these videos they are fantastic!
Nice video, this should have no thumbs down. Plan F will be adversely affected heavily after 1/1/2020 as natural selection (death) takes place and new people aren’t joining. If you can switch someone from F to G after they have been on F for a few years, the savings are greater. I recently saved a few people in Ohio & Texas over $1500 annually.
This is the 3rd video I have watched of you tonight. You express the information in plan and simple manner. I believe you truly care about your clients. I will be calling your office tomorrow when I am on lunch. Thank you
I have plan F ..... It states medical (partB) for 2020 coinsurance "After you pay a $2300 deductible , this plan generally covers 100% of the cost of Part B services. Isn't that higher then 20 % of the medical costs Medicare doesn't pay? Was this always a pay this high deductible in past years? Great video!!
Absolutely excellent. A thorough discussion of a very important topic that is generally one of the top two to three annual costs faced by the over 70 year crowd. In short one of the best "how to" videos I've watched on youtube. Thank you.

Thank you for providing a thorough and easy to understand explanation. I am helping my mother-in-law decide on benefits when she retires the end of this month.
I'm looking at plan G premium now and it's an avg. of $40-70 more than Plan N and F of which several videos keep saying Plan G's premium is lower. Over all it looks great but I'm trying to see if I'm missing something because the numbers I'm looking at are excessive on various sites.
Gloria- There are a lot of variables here. You need to make sure you have all the information. Medicare supplement prices will usually vary by as much as 100% between the lowest cost insurer and highest cost insurer for the same plan. Of course, they also vary greatly by state. You may be looking at a low-cost Plan F or N provider, but a high-cost Plan G - and it could even be the same insurance company. The only way I can answer your question and tell you if you are missing something is to look at your specific situation. If would provide the information I need, using this form, I can make certain you have the information you need to make an informed decision ...and fill in the missing blanks of your situation. You do not discuss the F or now G high deductible plans where in some states such as NY and possibly FL, there is big monthly premium between F or G and high deductible F and now G. This big premium difference may be better for healthier people even if they need more medical care sometime in future and then they can switch to a regular G or N plan which may not require medical underwriting in those states?
Sandy. Shame on you for not subscribing to my channel! You are right, I do not discuss those plans in this video. That is because they are here: ua-cam.com/video/W65Zse-Cdbs/v-deo.html for F-HD and here ua-cam.com/video/74K4cZIJpb8/v-deo.html for NY and CT. If you had subscribed you would have seen these and the 40 other videos I have on Medicare. ;-)
I turn 65 in Sept. I will still be working and have health ins through my employer. Should I still get a supplement has well or better off getting a supplement and not take their health ins. . I hope to retire within two years and don't want to find I can't get a supplement at that time. I'm so lost in this but am getting good information from your videos. Thank you for making them
I bought a plan N. Can I switch to another insurer or another plan if my rates increase? I live in Connecticut. I believe its a guaranteed issue state, so I guess I can buy Medigap at anytime during the enrollment period. I am not sure why but they sold me a NY policy instead of Connecticut. I don't know why they did that. My employer was in NY. Or maybe the broker or company wasn't licensed in Conn. Seemed weird. Some of my doctors are in NY.
Hi P Pumpkin. This is the video that answers your question in detail. It is specific to Connecticut and New York: ua-cam.com/video/74K4cZIJpb8/v-deo.html
There is no "Plan G Deductible". Medicare supplement Plan G does not insure against the Medicare Part B deductible. If you have a Plan G, you pay the annual Medicare Part B deductible. In 2020 that deductible is $198. Medicare has indicated they expect that annual deductible to eventually reach $250. The deductible resets on a calendar year basis.
I'm mad as hell and not going o take it anymore. Shame on the government for making this so confusing and having people make youtube videos to explain. However thanks for the info, I've calmed down.
Yep. Sometimes I picture the people who came up with Medicare sitting around a table with the person leading the meeting starting with "Ok, we need a healthcare system. How can we do this and make it as confusing as possible?"
Not really that confusing if you take the time to review. Parts A and B are the lynch pins both you can end up owing significant money after an illness. Supplements were a way to allow people to manage the risk they want to provide for. SupG is comprehensive, costs more, but allows for monthly planning. SupN lets you put out small bites in a copay but lets you control most of your monthly planning even when you have a major incident. Advantage plans were just a way the Republicans let companies and insurers cash in on medicare with maximum profit. Pretty simple and you have plenty of time to figure it out, Up til now you company made all the decisions now you have to make them. This is one of the most important decisions you make in your life, so be patient, willing to learn, and willing to check your decisions.
This video is very informative. It is insightful and permits me to make an informed and prudent decision on medicare supplement insurance. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Oy! even a comment addressing medicare is so complicated to post! But americans want exhaustive freedom of choice and pay for almost nothing that does not benefit them personally and NO waiting and ANY doctor they wish for care on demand and perhaps a self inflicted fatal health condition to boot this is the inevitable outcome. other systems in the world cannot grant such conditions generally but you would probably need MUCH less health care cause you'd be MUCH healthier! excellent videos intelligently organized and explained thanks for not trying to entertain me! just the facts, thank you VERY much!
Wow! Matthew's videos are the BEST! I don't even bother going to the well publicized websites (owned by the carriers.) I get all the straight answers fro Matthew's videos... and I've told told other people about them as well. Kept me sane during the signup period. TM
Hi Donna, great question. I cover it in one of my videos ua-cam.com/video/RbmEKOphujs/v-deo.html Here is what you do: go to www.medicare.gov/ Under the "Forms & Resources tab you choose the drop down "Find doctors...." When you find your doctor the site will show a Green Check if the doctor accepts assignment "Medicare assigned rates" If the doctor acccepts Medicare assigned rates they cannot charge an excess charge. If the dont accept Medicare assigned rates they can charge can excees charge.
Great information! As someone who will be eligible for Medicare in February 2019, I knew to steer clear of Plan F (and Medicare Advantage Plans because I can afford a supplement), but was not familiar with Plan N. Still unsure of whether it is right for me. Am in the fortunate position that sizable premium increases in a Plan G supplement over the next 20-30 years should not be a hardship. The ones I see on medicare.gov in my state (Ohio) are in the $120-150/month range. I could handle an increase to $500-600/month over the years. Heck, after paying $1,200/month for a Gold level ACA policy with a low (cough, cough) with a $2K deductible, that would be cheap!!! About the table with the coverage in the supplement plans as of 2020. Does that apply only to new plans offered after that date? Or if a customer has an existing supplement policy in force as of that date will his/her coverage stay the same, particularly WRT to Plan N? Thanks much.

Not really understanding how my employer and the group health insurance it provides still offers plan F currently for retirees. But it does. Now I have to go ask about plan G as it seems a better value.
Check carefully. The standardized Medicare supplement plans are not typically available through employers. It should be labeled as "Medicare supplement Plan ..."
Thank you Bruce. My video on Plan N also has other information on Medicare supplements not seen in other UA-cam videos. ua-cam.com/video/RbmEKOphujs/v-deo.html
Great video. I enter Medicare October 2020. I have chosen Plan N because at this time I have no health issues whatsoever. I need the lower price now. I will just have to wait to see what happens in the future, but Plan N still looks affordable, even in the future.
Geoff - One of the great things about Medicare supplement Plans is that there are no bad plans. All Medicare supplement Plans are good plans that will do all they are supposed to do. Which on is right for you depends on your budget and your needs. I would not be concerned about being in a Plan N.
Two questions: Q1: It would seem that Plan N would not be a good choice for someone who intends to visit a mental health counselor once a week for anywhere between 3 months to 12 months annually. The $20 copay would quickly eat up any savings in premiums over Plan G. Do you concur? Q2: Are you one of those brokers/agents who 'collect information' on Medigap rate increases such that you might predict (at least in a ballpark way) or such that you might offer a history of a few years of prior rate increases? If not, do you have any other suggestions for someone interested in Plan G who is concerned about rate increases surpassing their budget at some point in the future (say, 4-10 years)?
Aviva, you have some good questions. There is a lot of misinformation in other agent videos about the $20-copay and when it is triggered. This is the source data from CMS: www.cms.gov/Medicare/Health-Plans/Medigap/Downloads/Plan_N_Guidance2.pdf The bottom line for you is this; if your mental health counselor visits are with a doctor (not just a counselor) and are billed using code 90805, then they would be subject to the $20 copay. Otherwise, they would not. The $20 copay is actually a coinsurance. It is 20% of the office visit, up to $20. In many cases it is less than $20. I have seen this copay as low as $9.00. Still, Plan G is probably a better value for you. And yes, I keep records of price increases and am familiar with the history of all the major insurance companies. That history varies from state-to-state and will depend on if the insurance company is operating under a subsidiary in your area. My suggestion is to call me so we can talk about prices and insurance companies with the plans available in your area. Call me at 800-847-9680. That is the right way to get the personal specific recommendation you are looking for.
Thanks! I will give you a call later in the day, when necessary work is done. It SOUNDS like you are saying that visits with a mental health counselor (licensed social worker or therapist) would NOT be subject to a $20 copay --- unless they use billing code 90805 --- which may not be an option for LMHC in Vermont, or Licensed Social Workers (in most states). Am I missing something? If you think the answer is of value to your reading/viewing public, answer it here . . . and yes, I'll be calling you in the late afternoon, so we can review this, as well as history of rate increases among major insurance companies and their subsidiaries. Talk to you soon :-)
I just noticed that Medigap (Medicare Supplement) Plan D is similar to Plan G with one exception; it doesn't cover 'Excess Charges.' Since Vermont is one of those states where 'excess charges' are forbidden to physicians participating in Medicare and accepting assigned rates, I'm wondering how much less Plan D costs than Plan G (in Vermont, anyway). It may be a better value for Vermonters, depending on the value. Are you licensed to sell Medicare Supplement plans in Vermont?
Hi Aviva, Plan D is a great plan and I believe that post-2020 it will become a very popular choice. Unfortunately, in many areas of the country PLan D is still priced higher than Plan G. That may change. I don't discuss specific prices on UA-cam because they are different for every zip code and age.

what i didnt realize was the cancellation if i understood it of my gvt medicaer plan for this plan g i cant really comfortably afford but i think in the long it will be my best choice/option thankyou
Hi George. A supplement simply supplements Original Medicare. If you had a government employee benefit plan, it would be too much insurance to have both. If Plan G costs too much now, please consider a lower cost plan. Too many people fail to consider there can be 20-years or more of price increases compounding through your retirement. If it's not comfortable now, it can become cost prohibitive in the future. 800-847-9680
I choose g plan,I want to know which state has higher percentage increase?texas or Chicago ,Illinois.Does insurance companies have the same pricing? How to choose which insurance company.thanks excellent presentations
Do you have a video on the pricing methods insurance companies use? How important is it for consumers to factor in this piece of information when selecting an insurance provider?
I talk about it in a couple videos. The bottom line: there is no one pricing method that will result in a lower price for the consumer. All pricing methods have ways of increasing prices. Some states mandate Issue Age or Community rated. The most expensive states in the US Mandate that Medicare plans are priced either Community Rated or Issue Age (i.e. NY, FL, CT, WA etc). The lowest cost Medicare supplements (over your lifetime) are found in states without such a mandate and thus are Attained Age states. If a Plan is calling itself Community Rated or Issue age in a state that does not mandate such pricing, caveat emptor. They are trying to make you think you are getting something you are not.
Much, much clearer explanation than others have given. Thank you. But if Plan G goes up the way Plan F used to, then won't more people start taking Plan N during their initial enrollment period? Therefore, won't costs also rise for Plan N as well as Plan G and Plan F? I understand that N is cheaper because one is taking more risks. But taking it also defeats one of the main reasons brokers put forward for needing Medicare Supplemental insurance to begin with: to cover those excess costs one might be hit with. I've been reading and listening to videos for a couple months, and I don't see any real long term solution or good choices. I acknowledge that I should have looked more closely at Plan N. I was already thinking that before I looked at your video. I dismissed it too quickly. But it is also the case that one never knows which Plan the government is going to tamper with next or eliminate.
Jan96106, the only certainty is that things will change. There is a lobby recently started to completely get rid of all excess charges in every state. I am confident that will happen in the next five years +/-. For now, your most stable priced plan will be Plan N because of the copay's. I expect that in the future more people will be looking at Medigap Plan D, Plan L and Plan K. But we are not there yet. All plans will increase in price over the years and we just have to accept that fact. At least with a supplement your benefits will never change. With an Advantage plan both your benefits and costs will change over time.
Great Video! I am confused, as I have been told plan G you do not have co-pay for doctor visits. Speaking with a friend of mine says he pays the deductible and he pays a $20. co-pay when he visits the doctors. The specialist I am using says plan G is just like F BUT there is the deductible that you have to meet. Please unconfuse me :)
Hi Leslie - this is the video that best answers your question.. ua-cam.com/video/RbmEKOphujs/v-deo.html The Plan with a $20 copay is Plan N. Plan G does not have a deductible, technically. It just has no insurance coverage against the Medicare Part B deductible. Also see the table on this page: medigapseminars.org/medicare-supplement-benefit-table-2020/
Thank you. Been doing my own research and found you. I just found out about the phasing out of Plans F & C last week, I still have some time as currently still employed. Very helpful.

Yes Karen, some companies try hard to keep their premiums under control, some companies have a pricing strategy of getting a person in and the subjecting them to persistent price increases. When we make a recommendation to a client this is part of what we consider. Insurance company pricing strategies can get quite involved, but we discuss all of this in as much detail as the client needs.
What's better value and overall plan N or F-HD? Also which plan would be better to have to cover out of network care like specialty care for heart and cancer treatment especially high cost immunotherapy drugs?
JP2059 - There is no best plan. Your question about "Networks" and "immunotherapy drugs" suggest you are still struggling with the role a Medicare supplement play in your healthcare. Immunotherapy drugs are covered under Medicare Part D and there is no Network. This video might help: ua-cam.com/video/t5OEsLXGiC4/v-deo.html
This is all new to me but I found it very informative, My question is this, I reached retirement age about seven years ago but continued with employer health care until the end of last year. I obtained Part B in February but I am yet to choose either a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plan. If I buy a Medicare Advantage plan this Month, what will be my start date and will incur a penalty for starting late.
The hospital will simply charge the Medicare rate and wright-off the difference. In other words, you will not be charged more than what Medicare will pay. You get the private room and no bill! One caveat - this is only if you are admitted to the hospital as an inpatient. If you are staying in the hospital "under observation" the costs are covered under Medicare Part B. The result will be about the same depnding on which supplement you have.
On the video you mention about "There are some state do NOT allow Part B excess charge" . I have two questions: - Does the state of California not allow Part B Excess Charge ? - If you do not know then where can I find out about that information ? Thanks You.

You are very welcome. I am speechless from your kind words.
The salesman is right, I have been on Plan G for 18 years had 3 knee scopes, 3 different back surgies , herina repairs and a hip surg. replace
plus many minor hospital stays and the plan G took of all but $185.00 each year deductable
Michael's information is very informative about Plan G & N. Thanks.
Hi Mathew,
I enjoyed your explanation G vs F vs N because you spoke to the common folk how we can understand and now look at each and compare for our personal needs. THANK YOU!!
Thanks! I am 64 and was thinking G but my money is tight. Now, I am looking more at N
Good idea. At 65 you could have this plan and its price increases for decades. Let us help you find a plan that will be a low cost over your lifetime: medigapseminars.org/quotes/medigap-quote-request/
wow! This is really amazing video. It's very helpful to us.Thank you for this video.
Same here!
You are welcome, and than you for such kind words.
The frog in the pot was a very descriptive way to explain the tricky price increase method. Thank you.
Thank you Donna. You can easily find the videos specific to people New to Medicare here: medigapseminars.org/new-to-medicare/
Hey Donna, at least you have the correct surname; you sure are a hunter! :) Keep hunting and I'm doing the same.
Now what?
The odds are we can help lower your premiums.
@@MedigapSeminars Thanks! I'll be calling soon.
Do you have a more recent table for 2022 or even 2021?
Hi ilean Here is the 2021 Table; medigapseminars.org/medicare-supplement-benefit-table-2021/
Wonderful information - the most important needed in comparing G- N - F 0 - enables peace in choices to be made.
Loved the behind the price-curtain portion. Very well done videos on all the Medicare topics.
John, did you know that Medicare offers a Trial Right to people who enrol in a Medicare Advantage plan when they first enrol in Medicare at age 65? The Trial Right allows you to move back to Original Medicare and get any supplement plan as long as you are still in your first year on Medicare. www.medicare.gov/supplements-other-insurance/when-can-i-buy-medigap/guaranteed-issue-rights
The best help and information I have found on the internet concerning Medicare Supplemental Plans!
Thank you Terry! I am curious, what struck you the most? Was it how the insurance companies get away with hidden price increases, or something else?

Just to be clear, the plan G deductible is a one time payment at the rate that I apply for it. Your video said it was at $183 at the present time.
Thank you so much for these videos! I have difficulty hearing and your speaking slowly and concisely realy, realy helped, a lot!
@Patriot GFY
Undefined name right and I dealt with this company and they are pushy
clear , easy to comprehend.

Oy! even a comment addressing medicare is so complicated to post!

How do I find out if a doctor charges the excess charges?

Thanks for the information about PLAN F AND G. My plan f was raised. I don’t know how the gov’t is helping the seniors. Not really.

Great video on Medicare Supplemental plans.... I am 64 nearing 65 in March of 2018 and have been doing a lot of research on topics like these...
Thank you Bruce. My video on Plan N also has other information on Medicare supplements not seen in other UA-cam videos. ua-cam.com/video/RbmEKOphujs/v-deo.html
Great video. I enter Medicare October 2020. I have chosen Plan N because at this
time I have no health issues whatsoever. I need the lower price now. I will just have
to wait to see what happens in the future, but Plan N still looks affordable, even in
the future.
Geoff - One of the great things about Medicare supplement Plans is that there are no bad plans. All Medicare supplement Plans are good plans that will do all they are supposed to do. Which on is right for you depends on your budget and your needs. I would not be concerned about being in a Plan N.
@@MedigapSeminars Thank You
Thanks for the info. My only question now is how much more g cost than standard medicare.
Great balance in your presentation.
Must call tomorrow . . .
Very comprehensive video on the specific topic.
Thank you Mary

what i didnt realize was the cancellation if i understood it of my gvt medicaer plan for this plan g i cant really comfortably afford but i think in the long it will be my best choice/option thankyou
Clearing up most of the confusion between the plan and the costs associated with them. Thx
You are welcome!
Are there any supplements that cover vision, hearing, and dental, which Medicare does not cover?

What about drug coverage part D? How much more will that cost? Where can we find costs of plans without committing to an agent?
I was with you until 20:00, looked for the link for future prices. Instead of seeing the prices I got a screen to enter emailaddress and to log onto word press. You seemed upfront until that point.
William, the link to log in to Word Press is a web page error / youtube link error. My apologies. It goes to the proposed future benefits table. @@MedigapSeminars My husband is retired military. Although I have Tricare Prime with him right now. Will I share his Tricare for Life also, as a spouse? Or will I have to get my own supplement. Thank-you.
@@chinta-louisetorpey7247 Tricare doesn't work with independent brokers like myself, so I can only speak from my parents experience. Because my father was career Navy both he and my mother had Tricare for life. I expect you will be eligible. This website may have your answer: tricare.mil/tfl
Excellent information, thank you for sharing.
Thank you. Once you sign up for a medigap plan, can you change companies? Or go from N to M or vice versa? Or go from say high deductible N to N lower deductible? Or does that go under understanding review? What are the timing constraints? Thank you!!
Can you give examples of what the premiums are for g and n?
Sure, from $65 to $365 / month depending on your location. (that is not a joke). Complete this quote request and we will email you prices for your zip code, no cost or obligation: medigapseminars.org/medicare-supplement-specialist-independent-medicare-insurance-broker/m-quote-request/
What kind of increase can insurance companies charge for Plan G? Example? Do some Companies have a reputation for bigger increases?
Very helpful, easy to follow information. Thank you.
You are welcome Tom. I hope you watch my other Medicare videos as well: medigapseminars.org/new-to-medicare/
Finally I got clarity
My local university hospital has only single rooms. Part A appears to cover hospitalization only for double occupancy rooms. How would that work?
The hospital will simply charge the Medicare rate and wright-off the difference. In other words, you will not be charged more than what Medicare will pay. You get the private room and no bill! One caveat - this is only if you are admitted to the hospital as an inpatient. If you are staying in the hospital "under observation" the costs are covered under Medicare Part B. The result will be about the same depnding on which supplement you have.
Thank you very much! As always, a quick, detailed, and helpful response!
Medical plan n,how much does it cost.
are these plans you speak about transferable to CAL PERS ?
To the best of my knowledge, no.
Thank you Matt for a very informative and clear explanation. Great video. I subscribed to learn further from your future videos.
On the video you mention about "There are some state do NOT allow Part B excess charge" . I have two questions:
- Does the state of California not allow Part B Excess Charge ?
- If you do not know then where can I find out about that information ?
Thanks You.
When a person requests Medicare supplement quotes from us we include a paragraph on the state specific laws that may impact their buying decision. medigapseminars.org/medicare-supplement-specialist-independent-medicare-insurance-broker/m-quote-request/
Does one haveto enroll in Medicare part B in order to enroll in Medicare advantage or supplement?
Thanks Matthew. Very informative video. Doing some research now. I'll be watching some more of your videos.
Great Erin -- You may them more organized here: medigapseminars.org/new-to-medicare/
I already have Plan F, but premium is increasing yearly. Thinking about going to N. If I should could I change back to G the next open enrollment time?
