Do you need to use a glue for the goldleaves? because looks like you don't put it. I don't have this glue as well so is it possible to just put in on the painting? or you have advise for another glue? Thank you very much Nikki for sharing this video!. I LOVE this painting. It is so inspiring! I only paint when i am inspired.. So thank you for this
Your a talented lady and I for one, appreciate your gifting us with your working demos. The added bonus is your product descriptions tempting me to go forward. Thank you!
Always love seeing people paint abstract things, how the heck do you see where something is going. Adding layers, adding, adding... Wonder how many times you think, "sh*t did i ruin it just there?" Love the outcome!
There is almost never a painting I do where I don't have that thought at some moment. The key is to recognize that it happens every painting and that is when you need to keep pushing forward!
Go buy painting by numbers or better still be like Warhol and ask somebody to do the painting for you List the steps if your abstracting you cant make lists its purely inspirational and intuitive 😌❤✌🎶🤴
Suggestion - instead of mobile camera try a fixed camera changing positions occasionally. The art work you create requires perspective to appreciate rather than closeups. This is a very very beautiful work of art you made.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so don’t focus on the negative comments. Everyone has different tastes. Trouble is artists will focus more on the few negative comments more than the positive ones. If people want to criticise, make the criticism more constructive than an insult. There is always room for learning. Insult in private if you really feel the need to. Personally, this painting has inspired me on how I want to create my next art work so thank you for showing. I love it.
Thank you Sharon, your message means so much to me. I understand that not everybody will like the art as art is very subjective. I try to focus on the positivity and motivation my social channels has to offer, there's so much more to learn every single day. I whole heartedly thank you for supporting me :)
Nikki Chauhan thank you. You are more than welcome. I honestly don’t see the need for others who say they are artists and who have also been criticised to be so rude. The gentleman in question should know better, as he says he’s an artist and appears to be much older than you. It would have been more constructive of him to advise you on what he felt could have been improved to perfect the painting instead of saying that others criticise his artwork so basically suck it up. If his grandmother’s basement wall looked like your painting, she was very lucky! There’s no need for rudeness on social media. You carry on doing what you do and listen to constructive advice if it’s given and you agree with it. I wish you all the best. 💝
Beautiful work! What kind of paints did you start off with? Also, did you varnish this one when you were done with it or left it as is? If so, what kind of varnish did you use?
My comment comes late but anyway... this was really good. And I'm SO GLAD to look at your materials list to see that you used real artist materials to make the texture. I've seen so many videos where drywall paste and whatnot was used. Well, I have a sad story about that. Many years ago, when I was represented by a gallery in Houston, TX the gallery owner came to my studio. By that time I had moved from Houston, blah blah. Anyway, I had a good friend who was graduating with her MFA. We had a lot of her art in my studio so the gallery owner could look at it, too. You never know :) Well, he said, "I like her work but we can't sell this. She used materials that won't last (drywall paste, specifically). So that was a big bummer. She had a really good chance of getting into a very good Houston gallery, but her art was unsellable. They don't emphasize selling art in grad school. Or they didn't in 1988. Oh well....
Just subscribed. This was insanely beautiful! THANK YOU for actually listing what you used like no one does. Wow,if I could even come close to something like this I'd be over the moon. Absolutely Amazing!
Can you please list the texture mediums in order of your laying them down? Your work is beautiful but frustrating that you aren’t specific listing colors or steps.
She is using model paste in order to create the texture. After that she sprays the canvas with water and rub the acrylic colors with her hands and a towel. Using acrylic paint and a rubber roller and then letting it dry she also creates more texture. Lastly she is using gold foil/flakes in which you can easily brush onto the painting on glued parts of the canvas. Hope this helps! :)
Nikki thi is a masterpiece. One of the best abstract minimal industtial canvas on youtube. Congratx to you. Than you for the video that could inspired a lot of peoples. Congrats to you
Love it, just wouldn't have worked on a small scale, needed that size.I'm not a huge abstract fan, but I'd buy that. There is a wine bar close buy, with paintings only half as good as this!
Hi Helen, When I was younger, I used to look at an abstract an go “ I don’t get it!” Then I took to heart a very serious line in the beautiful film “Mona Lisa Smile” where Julia Roberts character takes the class to view a Jackson Pollock. She tells them to “consider it” to “look beyond the paint.” I found that to be so inspiring because I AM an artist (paint, draw, photography) yet I had been so dismissive of the art. Now I love it and buy when I can because I have learned to look beyond the paint. What an amazing world looking into that abstract! It’s absolutely beautiful! ❤️
