The guy could have schooled all the people he defended his belt against and could have had a title reign full of masterclasses like Anderson Silva but he just was scared of taking the risks and focused more on winning🤷♂️

Man Izzy was one of my favorite fighters and I still can't hate the guy but he really fell off for me since like 2022
I'm still cool with him but he started becoming less likeable but back then he was my favorite fighter from his debut to the first Whittaker fight(I still was a fan after that but the Romero fight obviously annoyed me a bit, but it only really started going down after the Jared fight for me)
I like it when fighters show their nerdy side(and yeah I like cartoons like he does) and he had some corny moments here and there already but mostly he seemed super fun and chill for me
And in the cage he was obviously fireworks
But the cringe moments kinda started outweighing the fun moments(and also things like the dog stuff are weird obviously) and he also didn't deliver as much in the cage anymore as he did once he was a defending champ(the 2 Pereira fights were absolutely fire tho and I was happy for him when he got the KO)
So yeah respect to his achievements
He is an all time great in MMA, like top 15 of all time at least and for me top 10
And I still think he is one of the best strikers ever easily if he wants if he wouldn't have been scared of taking risks
But it's hard for me to be a fan of him nowadays
