    @KarlisMusik, do you have any advice on how to hold our hands while playing? My hands hurt like a mug when I try to play.

    • @karlismusik
      @karlismusik  2 роки тому +1

      You should hold your hands as if you are holding a baseball. So fingers should be slightly curled. Of course habit takes us away from that periodically but that’s the proper method

    Hi Karliss great video. I have one question. If E minor only has an F sharp in it, why do those chords that are not in the scale work so well?

    • @karlismusik
      @karlismusik  2 роки тому +2

      Well we are using the E major scale cuz we land on that E major chord which includes F G C and D sharp. But when you do come to chords like the Cmaj with a D in the bass, it is outside of the Emaj scale but it works because the harmonies are relative. I hope that answers your question.

    • @ablazecustom3169
      @ablazecustom3169 2 роки тому

      @@karlismusik the harmonies are relative ? What do you mean .

    • @karlismusik
      @karlismusik  2 роки тому +3

      @@ablazecustom3169 so take for example the scales of Cmaj and A min. The tonic in the scale is obviously different and have different feels but the harmonies are relative because of the same notes being used in both scales. Now the "D" in the Cmaj and A min scale would most likely accompany a D min chord and you could also use the Dmaj chord. The F sharp in the Dmaj chord isn't in either scale but will work. I hope that made sense.

      @@johnnyparker2128 There’s a lot of piano parts. It’s just that, according to the band members themselves, none of them were really great at their instruments so a lot of their parts were simple.
