I do my best, Catherine.🤣 I'm pleased you like it, my good friend. Thank you so much. It's a song we used to sing back in the day when I were nobbut a lad and when songs were much simpler affairs.🤭
This is another song that we both sing, Robin! I too learned it after hearing the Burl Ives version. I also sing "Funny Way of Laughin' " which was also written by Hank Cochran and recorded by Burl Ives. I'll probably put my versions of both songs on UA-cam eventually, but it will probably be a few months down the line. A very nice version you do here, my friend!
Someone mentioned Burl Ives, yesterday, and I was just messing about on the guitar when this song came into my head. It’s a song we used to sing in the old working men’s clubs around the West Riding. Not every week but enough to like it a lot. I look forward to hearing your version, Robert. Thank you so much for your kind comment, my friend. Means a lot to me.
Oops looks like I posted my comment in the wrong place...🥴 Anyway Great job is always Robin! Really enjoy your songs my friend 😎👍 Excellent job on this Robin!
Good cover ,Golden Oldie, But most of our songs, instrumentles are from the distant past too.Keep playing and be happy.Don,t let the tears get you down. Better to put on a brave face.

Not familiar with the song, sounds good
@@casciottisongs Thanks very much, Cas. It was a hit in the ‘60s. We used to sing it now and again.
