You also kept very stumm on sweaters , vests , polo & rugby-shirts , khakis & knickerbockers ( checkered obviously ! ) and quite a few more 'useful' - if perhaps not on Your 'Shopping List' - items .. ? Sneakers , Boat-shoes , ( Full- and 'less full' Brogues .. and the ( checkered ?? ) socks to go with .. )) ???? - O Dear !!
Yes, I know it should be. However the anglicised spelling is much more likely to be with two ‘L’s so I thought I’d teach the way we spell it in Britain as that is normally the focus of my channel.
@@smashingenglish Oh yes! I focalise on British English as well. But during this lesson I was looking up the words in the Oxford Learner's Dictionary and when I searched for the word with 2 L's it didn't show any result! It doesn't point any spelling difference either, that's why! But maybe that is the way people is used to spell it, isn't it?
