💬Plot summary:
Fan Xian grew up in a small town by the sea with his grandmother, following a sudden visit of a poison master, his peaceful life quickly morph into one filled with danger and hardship. I am afraid of the emperor. He is like a dad with a lie detector. He knows EVERYTHING! He seems to be 10 steps ahead of everybody.

A good leader has to have a mindset well ahead of everyone who serves him, who will possibly ally with him, who is opposed to him and who are the possible threats to him. All these factors are hard to put together in anyone's mind.
The emperor - Daoming is a very famous actor from China... he was with Jet Li as the first Chinese emperor Qin in the movie THE Hero.

The emperor is just terrible in naming, like FanXian doesn’t like his name. That’s why Fanxian likes his brother’s name. In the future he wanted his adopted father to name his first born daughter but the king gave her a terrible name too.
FanXian’s son (second child) was named before the emperor could say anything about it.

The emperor deserves to be the leader of the country. He knew what was going on inside and outside of the palace. When he asked the Eldest Princess and later the Crown Prince who tried to ruin Fan Xian's reputation, the Eldest Princess did not admit to anything. The Crown Prince admitted he did purchase those maids who were waiting for Fan Xian on the street. The Emperor already knew that these two were the co-conspirators.
By the way, the reason why Fan Xian looked down when his father said “Royal Treasury” was because in Chinese, thr words sound similar to underwear hahaha that’s why Fan Xian called it inelegant

The princess’ dirty plot to kill Fan Xian failed n she had to clean up all her evidences. That’s why maids were killed also the maid who arranged those maids had to hang herself by princess’ command. Fan Xian’s to be mother-in- law was very ambitious, ruthless n cunning. 😱

For anyone who's curious, the "Royal Treasury" on 7:58 nei ku sounds like the word "underwear" in modern Chinese, which is why Fanxian said this name is too inelegant.
