Kamila also disappointed me a lot with doping. Sure, she's good, after all, doping wouldn't help her withou talent. But maybe it helped her to do such an excellent performance, and most importantly, it's not a fair deal.
Of course I don't know who pushed her to eat it. If she has no fingers in it, then I'm sorry for her.

I was hoping to see the spin compilation. Thank you!! All spins are beautiful! My favorites are Kamila, Satoko and Karen’s, the same shown on the cover. I hope they can bring back Kamila’s Y spin version from Girl on the ball where she fully extends her left arm when transitioning from sit to stand position. It would slow the rotation speed due to the greater centrifugal force. But it creates such a magical moment. Always love Satoko’s spin, skating and artistry. I am not professional but I think she might do better in ice dancing given she is not a natural jumper but has top-notch qualities in all other areas.

Kamila's flexibility is incredibly great 💯 but the spin here she traveled a lot...
Karen was the only one with her leg in a decent position in the layback spin. That is always a sticking point for me.
The others of course are all ridiculously flexible, with fast, well centered spins. The flexibility in the back is amazing, but I'm over the catch foot and foot low to the ice spins though if you can't also hit the classic position. Give me Sasha Cohen's layback any day of the week!
i can't believe yulia lipnitskaya's spins weren't included in this video. her spins are one of kind. i also thought that sasha trusova has amazing spins.
Trusova spins are legit boring.
These are spins with the highest GOE from the 2020-2021 season. Yulias spins are from a completely different GOE grading system since she competed until 2016, and since the GOE went from +3 to +5
If any skater except Valieva gets +5, Kamila must get +7.
I like Bradie's spins a lot! She doesn't have great flexibility but she has interesting positions, and her spins are often centered.

I'd say for USA all three are about equal. Tennell the fastest, Bell the most effortless and centered, but Chen has the classic positions.
Agree for Japan. For Russia I'd put Nugumanova or Kostornaia third over Shcherbakova. Anna is very good but her spins tend to travel

I think that Tennell is a few over Bell and over Chen.
Scherbakova at rhe moment is third because is more consistent that Kostornaia and Nugumanova, if Kostornaia improved...is other story.
I still don't understand why Kamila's layback is number one compared to Satoko (who has perfect centering, an amazing haircutter position, and an incredible backbend,) and Karen (who has a gorgeous classic layback with a turnt-out leg and a perfect Bielmann).
It's as if the number one GOE bullet point is having a hyperflexible needle spin, which is impressive, but also a dime a dozen nowadays - not to mention that Kamila's layback could use a few more revolutions particularly for her third position.
Kamila's other spins, on the other hand, (especially her combination spin) are very much near perfect and do get deserving high GOEs - which isn't to say that her layback is bad, because it definitely isn't, I just wouldn't call it perfect.
I don't think we should count the nationals. Judges always give more points to skaters at nationals.

Call my opinion unpopular but 3, 2, and 1 are beautiful but not perfect spins. You can see the small amount of traveling if you look at the ice. Beautiful positions but seems like Eteri’s girls prioritize beautiful flexible positions over perfectly centered spins.

Probably more fair to exclusively use international competitions for GOE's because we know national bias is high in every country, lol. I don't really think Anna should be in any top 10 list for spins tbh, but Kamila, Karen, and Satoko definitely.
at the 2021 World Championships, two spins of Anna from the short program and at the OI2022 in the short 1 spin received the highest rating, compared to competitors. She rotates perfectly, don't be deceitful.

@@singsongeric she often has a problem with centering on CSp and on FSp, but otherwise she has great speed and flexibility, I’m really interested, what exactly don't you like?
@@renata29079 You nailed it right there. When I think of Anna, I often think about the laboured flying spins where she struggles to get good speed and centering. She's so good in many aspects of her skating, it's extra noticeable when she struggles on something that you would think shouldn't be difficult for her.
When I think about Kamila, Karen, and Satoko (to name a few), all of their spins are strong and they are also able to maintain beautiful positions that don't always require using a hand to hold the leg up, etc. I think Anna is a proficient spinner for sure, she has great passive flexibility to be able to get into the right positions for points, but where she lacks is with the active flexibility, and proper alignment of her knees and feet to create the most beautiful shapes. That's just my personal opinion, since you asked :).
I'll say it, that spin should not be No. 1. The first position is hideous, second one ok and beillman actually quite good. Could also have some more revolutions... they should revamp spins, they can't keep giving away +5s to everyone.

This is ridiculous. Local judges at national championships, especially USA, RUS and JPN, tend to go wild with their scores. Why don't you look at real ISU int'l competitions? Yes Covid was a huge problem throughout the season but at least they had the Worlds. It's a travesty that any of the great spins from Stockholm is not shown here. :(

All the Russian clips are national competitions or practice skates though. Nationals are always overscored.

If by heavenly you mean they’ve been forced to stretch and not eat so they can contort their body into insane positions then I totally agree.
@@mattyp783 this is so funny, you're talking to a figure skater and a ballet dancer. needle isn't that hard to achieve with daily stretching and truly forceful stretching will actually make you unable to skate from the pain. not eating will make you unable to jump and make you lose strength to do anything.

@@mattyp783 Well, seriously, compare the spins of Nugumanova and Bell. Who has better stretch and a more feminine body? Tennell fell altogether and received a GOE for this, no comment. Although I may be a little anti-American Nazi, I used to like Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen.
@@mattyp783 because they don't know how to stretch and lack choreo training, which is visible in the back and arm positions. Particularly with Tennel. Satoko also has a mature body but her spins are gorgeous. So don't pretend to miss the obvious.
@@grigol101 Bell spins a lot faster than Nugumanova and Bell's Y-spin is the most effortless of that variety among the ladies today, look how quickly she gets her leg up. Nugumanova is obviously great spinner as well but Bell is definitely deserving here

I really have a problem with inflated GOEs. Take Kamilla's N1 - indeed a gorgeous spin, with great shape, speed and flexibility, but it visibly travels the ice, which is like the number one NO NO for spins... I mean, should the GOE be high? Sure. Should it be literally 100% perfect? Obviously not. More than unfair, it leads to a perspective that there is no progress to be made, both individually as in the sport as a whole.
На видео показаны 2 разных вида вращения Камилы. Первое, о котором вы пишите-она держится ОДНОЙ рукой за ногу, шпагат 180°, её ноги находятся относительно льда абсолютно перпендекулярно . За 40 лет увлечения фигурным катанием я не видела такого вращения ни у одного фигуриста, если вы видели , оставьте пожалуйста ссылку на видео, мы посмотрим и сравним, кто достоин оценки 100%.

全くもって異論なしです。
Anna’s spins get more GOE than they should. Her foot is always pointed down in her camel, and her spinning leg is always slightly bent during her I-spin. Plus, her free leg during her candle spin isn’t perfectly straight. I know this might sound like nitpicking, but she’s getting +5s and +4s when she should be getting +3s. She’s no Kamila, Daria or even Satoko, Karen or Loena. Her positions are just not as good, and her spins have a tendency to travel. But I’m sure she will continue to get +5s and +4s, especially now that she’s world champion. Sigh
She's been getting paid too much for many her elements. Even for spins, being flexible is not just an indicator of a good spinner. You've pointed many of her flaws, such as bent legs and not pointing her toes. I cannot forget at one time when her spins travel so much (I noticed without replay) and the scorebox showed GOE between +3 to +5. Sigh...
i'm pretty sure she got 2+ goe on one of the rus comps this season even tho she travelled for half a meter 😭😭
@@jaanakhorosheva7804 yeah I’ve noticed that out of all the women skaters Anna has the most back flexibility, on her full biellmans her head to touching the back of her thigh which you never see with other skaters.

@@jaanakhorosheva7804 Kamila spin positions are better than Anna and I've never seen her spins travel. As mentioned before it matters that you point your toes Anna clearly does not. See Karen for example, she is not that flexible but she is aware of her lines, centering, and her spin positions look nice. Also Satoko has several different spins over her long career. She also could spin in both directions. I wonder why you compare variety while Anna also has basically same set of spins for 2 seasons.

Kamila and Bradie are really just excellent and fast spinners, and that'snot even the fastest Bradie has spun. Anna's hammer feet while spinning is still bothersome for me, lol

@@briananavarrolopez9286 Hammer feet on spins is when a skater doesn't point their toes outward while spinning, giving the look of a hammer. Anna also jumps by hammering her toe pick down on the ice. 😔
