Hey there my UA-cam friend, I do like the modifications that you've done to your ZP1001 4x4 RC Crawler. I'd like the front bumper that you've made for it. I'd love to know how you made one. Massive Thumbs-Up. 👍
Thanks! I just cut a 3/16 inch piece of steel... filed and sanded it smooth and drilled it. Then drilled and tapped the plastic frame and put a set-stop rod to hold it!
Thought about what you said, and actually I opted for the realistic look of the tire being on the top... the ZP1001 is a pretty good truck for the price isn't it!!!
@@semperatis You guys are missing the point. The fun is MAKING it into a crawler from a toy. Better shocks, making your own spring rates, steering mods etc. I even mention that it is not a Traxis or Redcat but a lesson in fun and making it ride and look realistic!!
Great vid, you're one of the reason why I bought this affordable RC. How was yours doing? Is the differentials/gearing still holding up to this time? I found out that plastic gears will be a problem sooner, and the metal upgrades for it are nowhere to be found.
Thanks for the reply! No need to change the electrics, just make sure the voltage and the connector is the same! Remember it is not waterproof! I fried my mother board on mine.. oops!
Awesome Job .. Congratulation !!!!)
Thanks! This is my first vid for RC.
Nice !!! Very creative !!))
Thanks!! I love modifying to make them better
Nice Sharing Sir.. Thumbs up 👍

Hello! Great video👍
Do the plastic gearing and diffs still working?
They did well. . Unfortunately I got the electrics wet and fried em...
Hi friend. 👍
Gotta get another one... mine died! LOL
I'd suggest mounting the spare on the hood/bonnet rather than on the roof. I used a set of FTX Outback shocks with 15wt oil in mine.
Yes.. definitely will get better shocks next time!

I agree Eric, this is a trail truck, not a crawler, though it is pretty decent for the price.

It is a great affordable RC indeed. My gears are doing fine... unfortunately The electrics got wet and fried the board... Time for a new one!
There a link for part zp ..seller from malaysia..
Hi, you use a 2S li-pol battery without replacing the regulator?. OR Did you change the regulator? Thank you. nice work.
I kept the same regulator. It seems to work fine
Nice mods! Do you have to make any changes to the electronics when you install that battery? Just bought this vehicle and I’m a total noob…

@@rccmrccrawlermods4517 That’s what I thought. Thanks!
Hi, how long car can go on this 2200mah battery? Is it enough?
Hard to say... It does give more speed and control. About 35 minutes..
@@rccmrccrawlermods4517 Thank you, I ordered 5200mah so I hope it will last at least one hour :-)
With slow crawling it should work well. Have fun!!
