Jay you've done it again! As I said I've been into Neil Young for over 50 years. Along with Dylan and the other obvious .... And by some strange coincidence... My repertoire on the guitar is largely Neil Young. I like how you can really hit the notes. I used to be able to hit all those notes but I didn't sing for a long time. As I said you guys really capture the essence! I can hear the love brother! I had no idea that I would stumble across you're beautiful rendition of country girl today. Well that is my song for my woman of forty years. She's not 40 years old. I've known her for 40 years. And she is a country girl. And I do think she's pretty. Thanks for keeping the love alive man! I sincerely think Neil would give you a thumbs-up on your renditions of his song s. I don't want you to eat your heart out but.... I've met the guy three times in my life... One time he was with Stephen stills. I used to live in Topanga Canyon as a child.... Where Neil and other great people lived also... So the first two times I saw him just lurking around the general store or whatever...ha ha...lurking fits that guy... In recollection he seems to try to act like he's not there. Funny guy. So finally when I was 15 years old. I heard that it was this big concert happening at the old Corral in Topanga . It was Neil and a bunch of other special people. Some type of benefit to keep corporate people out of our lives. Developers . So in my young mind. I know that would be thousands of people there. The Corral could only legally hold 300 people. That was a freaking Street party.. 2 miles each way from the corral.... Traffic was completely stopped each way. But I was a pretty determined 15 year old. So I borrowed a friend's dirt bike.... And drove up from the valley.... Surpassed all the traffic jam. I had told my little teenage friends.... I'm going to see you Neil Young.... They were like yeah right. So I got to the Corral.... That was totally mobbed.... I saw my way in.... The back door was open.... There was a short flight of stairs with railing . Even the stairs were mobbed with people sitting smoking drinking. I said I'm having a look inside. So I climbed up the railing. And I was peering down over the door. And there sat Neil . At an old upright piano in the corner . Just doing his thing. I didn't say anyting. Finally I feel he sensed I was there . Some Little hippie kid peeking over the back door. He looked up at me. And gave me the biggest smile but I will never forget. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for you guys keeping the blood flowing. Oh yeah and the Corral is the Roadhouse Jimmy Morrison wrote about . They had some cabins back there. Morrison called them bungalows. He used to stick Pamela in there... When he was busy. And pay people to look after her. So The story goes. Hollywood was really a trip in the sixties man. I had free admission to the whiskey a go go . At the age of 14. Because I had the best marijuana. Because my family was bikers . In the sound booth. Watching history happen . thanks for sharing the story Randall. It must have been awesome to meet Neil in person like that. Ive just seen him in concert about 7 or 8 times over the years. The last time was in 99 for the Silver and Gold acoustic tour. Good concert but he played all the songs from the album before the album came out so I was familiar with a lot of the songs. take care my friend and keep strumming!

Yeah Jay, "Deja Vu" has got to be right up there at the top of the GREATEST albums ever recorded, I think I own about 5 vinyl copies of it I love it so much.

I did not know you play an x series martin as well! and you know what? I have played several x series guitars and I think this x series guitar you are playing sounds better than that solid wood series guitar you play in some of your other videos! I am also a huge martin guitar fanatic!
