I think it’s important to point out that when you use the curved appliqué scissors, you need to rock them forward so the tip is towards the fabric. This helped me a lot.
Hi wondering why there are so many rounds of the tacking stitch? Is it necessary to use that many rounds before the actual satin stitch? I've bought a few designs from SP and have noticed this on them also. TIA
You are using the appliqué scissors backwards. You should be going the other direction with the wedge/bill on top and the point between the layers. Very common mistake! But they work much better that way.
So helpful! Ever fonce I started using my curved scissors flat instead of sideways,it has made so much of a difference
Sometimes it's just a matter of seeing someone else use them. It's not always obvious.
thanks Allson watching during the pandemic.

Thanks Allison. Love your ITH projects.
look so good
thank you for the wonderful tutorial.
Why do you not use Heat and Bond Lite on the back of the fabric of the applique material
we just float the fabric and find it works well for us
Hi loving this video . thinking of buying some of your designs can you tell me what stabiliser you recommend for the projects TIA XXX
I would love to know what kind of machine you have since im looking to acquire a new one.
We use the Brother DreamMaker XE VE2200. It really is a superb machine

My guess is to have the satin stitch a little more 3-D and more secure.
Good question...wish someone from SP would answer it 💁♀️

I thought the purpose of the bill was to lift up the fabric. If the bill is on top, what is its purpose?

Hello Allison. Would you recommend a website where I can buy the scissors that you use in this video? Thank you!
Hi we purchased these scissors from Scissorman in Australia but you can use any good quality sharp scissors.

Your applique scissors are upside down, blade should be on top.
yes and now, this way you protect the under fabric, the other way your able to cut very schort to the seam.
