Thank you Stevie and Eduardo for these insightful clips. Stevie - I’m a young Fil-Am corporate attorney in Silicon Valley and have found your videos to be incredibly inspiring and educational (going back as far as your earlier interviews on ANC). Wishing you continued momentum and success in this new chapter!
Very nice continuation. Really love this program. I always wish it's going to be longer. But as you said, you'd rather have no show than a bad show. Thanks Stevie and to Eduardo as well.
not related to the video at all, but i had to tell y’all about this. i kept seeing Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane mentioned everywhere-in youtube comments, even random convos with friends. i caved and read it, and wow. within two weeks, i started seeing my dream life come together. it’s not about wishful thinking-it actually teaches you how to align your energy to make it happen.
I would like to ask about the early question on buying the right company even though it is expensive. I did not quite understand the natural hedge he was referring too. Maybe if i relate it to the local setting in the Phils. Is it to buy the right company when interest rates are low? Suppose the acquiring company is not listed. Take a loan from the bank at low interest to finance the acquisition?
I liked how we went from working with Sycip and Henry Sy the past guest and now working with Warren Buffet. Now that is just prestine information you can get only in business schools probably in ivy leauge. Nice to learn the Warren Buffet approach. Hoped he elaborated on it more. Especially on the things to review about buying a company from the perspective of the selling CEO and / or managing director of a holding company. I think if the seller is a corporate entity or the person is just an employee of a holding company selling Philippine subsidiaries (not so significant to balance sheet etc etc), most of the time the stress it induces the seller is not worth it and the buyer would have his/her way in the small matters. Is your experience the same?
Hi Stevie, sad that BAD will end but will look forward to your one-off interviews. Eduardo mentioned get into literature as well, what pieces of literature would you recommend personally in your journey as a banker?
Other firms tended to be more collective while Eduardo was key to many more landmark deals than were discussed like Dow Du Pont, Emc Dell and so on. I chose LeBron as an analogy partly because of his longevity at the top which was longer than MJ. The MJ would someone whose distinctiveness lasted about a decade less than him and there are many who would qualify as rainmaking deal makers versus managers. Fortunately, Evercore is a deal makers firm rather than a bureaucrat administrator driven firm which is why I lasted there.
this has nothing to do with the video, but i’ve been seeing comments about this book for weeks, and i couldn’t ignore it anymore. Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane was hard to track down, but it’s honestly the best decision i’ve made. it’s crazy how fast things changed for me-two weeks after reading it, i landed the opportunity i’d been waiting for and started feeling more in control of my life. i just had to tell someone about it

What a lovely ending - a huge compliment from a man of great wisdom.
was very flattered that my forever Boss said that

Thanks, it will finish at the end of March though ANC and I agreed to do one off interviews if the right guest is available.
Thank you Sir Stevie. The first few minutes is a timeless lesson for all of us, don't get into your huff mobile.
Many thanks
Thank you again Eduardo

Thank you but this is not the forum to explain this valid issue you raise

Your question is valid but this is not the forum to explain a complex issue
@@scuunjieng this is noted

If he's the LBJ in investment banking, who's the MJ?
