Perhaps there's a Pentatonix version... I'm gonna look for it now even. Dundudun ooweeeooo dundudun... and didn't find them. But the Warp Zone did an a capella version and each singer is dressed as a different Doctor. 😆
Owned the spelljammer boxed set when I was young. Was totally enthralled by the setting, but didn’t quite understand it. Personally, I’m thrilled that you are covering this. 👍
In my flat Earth DnD world spelljaming is easy to understand, a strong levitate spell jammed with a fall spell creates a hover effect and skilled enough mages can aim the spells to create forward movement. Otherwise a second mage is needed for forward movement
1:37 you MUST read the Dragonlance series. It's so Iconic for DnD, and it's a great thing to experience. The books to read are:- The Chronicles Trilogy The Tales Trilogy The Legends Trilogy Dragonlance the 2nd generation Dragons of Summer Flame While we're at it, why not do some videos on some of the best DnD fiction? Ie Drizzt, Elain Cuningham, maybe even Gary's original novels!
I have been reading some Appendix N stuff! I'd like to get a D&D book club organized but I don't have much time to read with video creation, games, and my family life :) I'll add Dragonlance to my reading list though thanks!
@@Jorphdan Made time dude!!!!!! Just let the family life go. Sacrifices must be made. In seriousness - I'd try the Dragonlance Tales series (the first one), as they are short stories so easyier to digest. Equally the 'Legends' series a lot better written than Chronicles so read that after.
Also in Dragon #339 As well as the original boxed set. The Scro. I mean, how do we not mention the Klingons of Wildspace? Claiming they are simply space orcs would be selling them short.
For record, there has been an automated version of the random sphere creation at lost.spelljammer.org/RandomCrystalSphere/. A pretty nice utility to just brainstorm stuff like your next sphere's physical composition. It has been orphaned by Lost Spheres long time ago, and it may not last two decades more, so, could be nice to check it out, along with lot more saved-up fan creations.
The planet tables are fun. I generated a system with like a bajillion moons at one point (though every planet had a goody, and some moons had goodies, including moons of moons).
Thank you for the Giff love. I'm obsessed with them! My players know that whenever an npc starts speaking with a posh British accent exactly what race they're dealing with
note: earth bodies do not necessarily have air or water on them. in fact, quite a lot of them don't (including many asteroids). of course, many of the interesting ones that an adventuring party will likely explore will have those things :)
I would love videos about krynn space and gray space!! I would go even further and make a video designing a video for the eberron mtg and mystara settings lol
Great video again! like every other video, I need to ask (no, beg) that you cover the greatest character ever to come out of dnd, Large Luigi, who in my opinion is the defining trait of Spelljammer
I find it odd that 5e hasn't really touched on space travel or the crystal spheres at all, yet the giff and neogi are included in the basic monster manual.
I know I have those. Was just wondering if there was anything else out there. Also your channel is great. It's one of the few I regularly check up on. Keep up the great work 👍
You know, it seems to me the Noegi lesser gods saw these creatures crawling out from the creator god and didn't want to deal with them. So they made up a story about them being destined to control everywhere... that they couldn't go.
Since I'm a flat earther my DnD maps are also flat. There's no outterspace. But the vast plane is infinite, all worlds are connected yet vast distances apart. In my world some dragons are able to travel between realms, if a civilization is strong enough they can "spelljam" vessels high in the atmosphere and travel fast and vast distances.
"69. NICE. The planet is hotter than normal."
With that number you bet your ass it is :D
I really want to do a Starship Troopers style campaign against the Neogi.
The only good bug, is a dead bug.
"They sucked his brains out..."
The music....made my day! Publish it on spotify!
Perhaps there's a Pentatonix version... I'm gonna look for it now even. Dundudun ooweeeooo dundudun... and didn't find them. But the Warp Zone did an a capella version and each singer is dressed as a different Doctor. 😆
Lolth's Followers: Everyone are only meant be our slaves!
The Neogi: hold my beer.

"The Giff are the Mandalorians of the Spelljammer setting."
Sold!

I'd be interested to see how Spelljammer could work with Planescape!
Trying to make a Spelljammer game for 5e and Jorphdan your vids are a godsend!
Jorphdan: Rolls a 69
Jorphdan: "Nice"
YES, I am loving these Spelljammer videos, it’s a very interesting setting

really enjoying this series man, looking forward to the next one
Thanks!
I would love to see shows on REALMSPACE and GREYSPACE!!#
You won UA-cam with that intro.
Really enjoying this Spelljammer series! When are you making a Planescape one? :D
Dat intro. Best so far.
I just ran some vampire spawn Giff (long story) last week and it was wild and fun. Just imagine hippo with pointy vampire fangs
Had a friend hit us with a mixed race enemy... a Giff-yanki...imagine a skinny hippo with a vorpal sword.
@@chrisleffler2435 I love that omg that’s so clever
@@OhThatRobin wish I could take full credit. I will pass your praise to the player/DM.
All the comments were so pogged about the into music that I was hyped up and excited.
Well I wasn't let down that was great
Awewsome! I'm hooked on your Spelljammer vids
Pushing play on a UA-cam video without looking at the screen
I'm either regretting nothing, or everything...
Possibly both simultaneously!
Actually, the regret is silent, and if it doesn't stay that way I TURN THIS SPELLJAMMER AROUND!
I love your posts - you have a feel for the true spirit of Spelljamming. Any chance of doing a Clusterspace post?
Thank you for the Giff love. I'm obsessed with them! My players know that whenever an npc starts speaking with a posh British accent exactly what race they're dealing with
A video on Krynnspace is definitely something I would watch.
Excellent. Another fun video, thank you!
You DEFINETLY need to do a serie on Greyhawk, there's just soo much to discover wit this setting ;)
Love the intro! Makes this Who fan smile 😃
It would be nice a video about greyspace and krynnspace, is hard to find info about greyhawk and dragonlance ,so a video would help a lot haha
YES THE NEXT ONE IS HERE!
Ph'Jor Phdan, speak with a silent "pH".
Wait... So did they not name their own solar system?
That intro is just fantastic
note: earth bodies do not necessarily have air or water on them. in fact, quite a lot of them don't (including many asteroids).
of course, many of the interesting ones that an adventuring party will likely explore will have those things :)
Do Greyspace and Krynnspace.
Smashed that like button with that intro music.
This week I'm starting a space campaign as DM because of you....please send this grey space stuff too I'll need it XD
I want to play spelljammer so bad!keep them videos a coming
Used to play the giff as 19th century British officer caste stereotype. Always got a lot of laughs
I know this is old, but you should do a video on the dragon's of SpellJammer. They are super dope.
this makes me happy
That vocal cover was amazing.
I would love videos about krynn space and gray space!! I would go even further and make a video designing a video for the eberron mtg and mystara settings lol
to hear more dnd lore is always good so would be cool to hear about krynn and grey space .o.
I wouldn't mind see vids on Krynnspace and Greyspace from you. :)
The Giff have page in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.
I think it'd be cool to find the crystal sphere holding the deathgate worlds from the deathgate cycle books.
Really enjoying the starjammer series. I heard about it. But never got to play in it.
yes please...I would like Krynnspace or Greyspace if you haven't already done so
what about the miniature giant space hamster
, is he a friend or a foe? I saw it once but don't know much about it
My god this intro was greatly appreciated
Well done.
Omg Jorphdan's face! 😍
it does exist!
The Neogi come from an evil exploitive planet...Planet NeoGeo!
IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER!
YOu can also find a really great Universe Creation system in Rifter issue 18
Does rules spoeks abaut special shapes of planet like bananaplanet?
Is there any 3ed or 3.5 stuff for Spelljammer. Want to incorporate into my current campaign . Yes there will be GIFFS !!
Not that I've found. Except for some dragon magazine articles!
I know I have those. Was just wondering if there was anything else out there. Also your channel is great. It's one of the few I regularly check up on. Keep up the great work 👍
Aw, you left out my favorite Spelljammer enemy, the Clockwork Horrors
You know, it seems to me the Noegi lesser gods saw these creatures crawling out from the creator god and didn't want to deal with them. So they made up a story about them being destined to control everywhere... that they couldn't go.
Do one on ship types
This is the way
The Neogi sound horrifying 😂 and yeah I hate spiders and eels are kinda gross looking 👀 and they smashed them together into some nightmare abomination
You had BETTER keep that opening!
I'd love the other planetary systems of krynn and Greyhawk
Neogi kind of remind me of the Ilwrath

12:10 VENOMOUS!
Sorry it's venomous.
Nice
Who is the artist of these illustrations, I need them in my life D;
Revenge of the kazoo.
Giff. This is the Way.
This is the Way.
Wow ... First time I am so early that there is no comments.
Now that Spelljammer for 5e is out, I feel like WoTC cut out so much content from the older edition for an easy buck.
When I ran Spelljammer, I made my own setting:
You can check it out here:
www.worldanvil.com/world/37d7c625-57a9-4baf-847a-4e52b9c68b56/summary
I take want a krynnspace vid!
“Hey everybody, it’s my faphce.”
Lol!
Give us Krynnspace and Greyspace
That into my man ....duh Dum dum duh duddud dumd dumb vweee❤
haha thanks!
I don't think the Spelljammer would consider itself a USS.
this is true
Solar system without a sun? So just... system?
umm... yeah!
Insert > *They Had us in the first half, I'm not going to lie* meme
This entire section was left out of the 5e version.
I wish No ships from dune where in Dnd.
That be good for drow malarkey.
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
"69"
"nice"
nice ;)
*☼ pfft. all worlds are flat worlds.*
The beard surprised me. You sound younger than you look.
This is dnd
Neolithic are no longer unique to spelljammer, in the MM 5th edition, but there's no spelljammer
love your stuff but that intro was earbleeding..
I listen to you video on head phones. Could you please never do an intro like that again.
