A man yes shouldn’t be controlling and manipulative and there are lines wherein possessiveness is overboard. However, if you went naked into a changing room with a straight male, it doesn’t matter that there is no attraction and that he’s like a brother, damn even your brother shouldn’t see you changing your clothes let alone a friend who’s like a brother.
