I'm trying to do the same thing in the stairs of the apartment building I live. Please clarify something to me: all the lights will turn on as each sensor is triggered?
Can you do this with one long led strip and 2 sensors on the wall or under the handrail? I don't have easy access to behind the wall on under stairs, prefer minimal drywall repair.
he's showing multiple lights, it doesn't matter if you only have 1 load or many, it just simplifies installation for you since you only have 1 load. the location of the sensors doesn't matter, however you still need to have access to your live HOT cable coming from the fuse box. the other sensor on the other side of the hall, etc will still get it's power from that same HOT cable , you are running the power from the fuse box to each sensor, the load is simply something in between shared in common with each sensor. if you really want less repairs look up wireless automation sensors, like Shelly etc, you will wire up each relay to the load and control everything via a wireless switch or your phone, etc. there's cheaper brands on amazon but Shelly is one if not the best for automation
The two sensors have the main line Live connected together as they both need power to work, while the second Live line is run parallel between the two sensor trigger output Live to the four light Live inputs. If you were to use the trigger Live from the first sensor to act as the supply for the second sensor, the second sensor would only operate when the first one was triggered. The trigger Live that goes to each light is only live when a sensor is tripped. (Caveat:- Treat ALL wires as live, even if they are not connected to a supply. Some other part of the system could be live and supply power at any moment, especially with PIR sensors.
Each motion sensor is independent of each other similar to single pole switches with a timer wired in parallel, the only thing they have in common is the load (lights) so if you set the sensor at the top of the stairs for 1 minute and the sensor at the bottom for 2 minutes, than whichever sensor you set off first is going to start it's timer countdown. when you get to the other side of the stairs the second sensor will trip causing it's timer to than begin it's own countdown. example you set off the top one first, it will begin a 1 minute countdown until the point it can no longer detect motion, however once you reach the top sensor's detection range it will than basically override the 1 minute shutoff for it's own setpoint of 2 minutes until it can no longer detect you. basically most people would have both sensors set to the same countdown time unless you need this kind of customization
Not everyone will understand if you say it in writing, it would be better if you say it through mouth talking. Only those who work on this line will understand. No one else will understand beyond this line.

Sir why are there two phase wires going to the second motion sensor? Isn’t the one from the lights enough?
here the two sensors

Love the video ...what happens if the sensors are set on different settings? Eg: one is on 30 seconds and the other on 10 seconds ?

ok so are there two sensors one at the top and one at the bottom of the stair case and four lights along the stairwell?
yes

They both start their own countdown.
