some of my first music borrowed from the 'Pathways into darkness' and 'Marathon' sound track from the early 90s. I borrowed those samples in my 'Weinermart' album... (using meditor a mod tracker) my teenage album from 1998. Pathways into darkness and Marthon (by Bungie) are still available now free! Great 90s FPS. My song 'battle' has a sample of a guy dying from 'Marathon'
Space invaders did technically have music, but it was not melodic and wasn't a full song. The space invaders music in the background was a single bass hit that got faster or slower and higher in pitch depending on what the player was doing. Rally-X had a full instrumental soundtrack playing with multiple instrument tracks
