"This channel makes learn english a piece of cake" ¿Valdría cambiar el verbo to be por el to make en este caso? Gracias!! Aprendemos mucho con estos vídeos!!!
¡Sí, puedes utilizarla así! Sin embargo, sería: "This channel makes LEARNING English a piece of cake". Cuando quieras poner un verbo sin conjugar, como "aprender", debe ir con "ING". También puede ir con "to + verbo infinitivo": to learn. Además, los idiomas y las nacionalidades comienzan por mayúscula, como "English". ¡Muy bien, sigue así! :)

These expressions must be British English. As an American, I’ve never hear “cheap as chips” and “full of beans” means “full of shit”/doesn’t know what they are talking about (but isn’t common). It’s my bread and butter (there is not another “my” before butter) and it doesn’t refer to daily activity but rather how you earn money. If British English is taught here, you may want to change the American Uncle Sam symbol to a British symbol.
Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your comment. Yeah, actually, I lived in LA for several years and the only one I heard is "the apple of my eye" (which I love, btw!) However, the title of this video is "IDIOMS PARA APROBAR TU EXAMEN DE B2 Y C1 / CAMBRIDGE, APTIS, TRINITY". That's why, in this case, I focused on these idioms, so that my Spanish students can use them in their exams. Thanks!

@I've heard this idiom 'As cheap as chips' referring to some articles reduced in price, others cheaper than usual in several English speaking countries... for those of us who have Spanish as our mother tongue, it is often very useful that teachers know our language well and what the specific difficulties are in learning English. Yeah, somehow I agree with you Elizabeth. I always heart"bread and butter" in a sense of necessities or the main thing of living (at least at the places I have been). For instance: "Teaching English is her bread and butter" by means of her income comes from teaching English. Anyway, it's good to know that it can be also used as something you do on a daily basis as the example you mention. Good to know! Thanks!
