Thank you for your comprehensive review Lexi. I appreciate these types of reviews a lot. 💚
I'm so glad! They take a long time to make but I am always happy making things like this.
Love the round up!! Incredibly helpful and great to see so many different options based on preferences.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching Jenn!
Such an informative video, thanks! Also, loving all the pretty eye looks and trying to guess what they are!
Thank you! Most of the eye looks are from previous videos. If you have any particular questions, let me know.
This a wonderful and very comprehensive video. I saved it for reference. :)
Thank you Judy!
Brilliant video😍😍Lexi 😍😍helpful thanks for sharing your preferences and reviews on these mascaras😍
Thank you Foteini!
Best mascara review/comparison ever! The Surratt mascara is my favorite too. I’m glad the new Sisley mascara popped up no. 2 on your list because I have been very interested in trying that out! As always, thanks so much for your thorough video!
Thank you Susan! The Surratt is incredible and so is the Sisley. Definitely really great.
Hi! I love this video. I am a mascara addict lol so lovely to hear your thoughts on a few I have yet to pick up! Thank you so much for sharing 💕💕
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching!
Very good review and great categorizing your preferences. Mine match your preferences as well. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great, thorough review - thank you! Surratt is my next purchase for sure!
Good choice! Don't forget they have 25% off right now on their site for loyalty members.
Eye-opening video! Not surprised by your favorite. Thank you for ranking and pricing this full roundup.
My pleasure! I figured my number one would be pretty obvious. It's just so wonderful!
Thanks for the review. UR makeup looks really nice. Like the focus on lips vs eyeshadow
Thank you so much!
Lexi you put so much effort and cleverness in your video that I m so impressed! You offer us a real review for EVERYONE and now we can choose eyes-opened ! My fave is the Sisley so intense and I want to try you two first ones 🤩 I d love a video on loose powder
Thank you so much!! I will be working on the loose powder but it will be a while. I really need to do the cream eyeshadow first. I am starting that one over.
This is an excellent video Lexi! Thank you!! I love the Surat Noir Lash tint, but looking to try something new after I'm done. I may have to try the Sisley, but the noir lash tint will always be a favorite!
Yay! Thank you! I am glad you enjoy the lash tint also. The Sisley is nice and so is the Lancome. There are definitely some great choices out right now.
Yay, I'm a mascara junkie, so loved this. I recently purchased the Lancome idole mascara but haven't used it yet, waiting to do a first impression video. Nicely done Lexi, I know how much work this must have been to test, research and organize all the mascaras. 🥰
Thank you Mel! I can't wait to watch your review of the lancome mascara. I really like it so I hope you do too.
Thank you. Great video! I have been enjoying the by Terry mascara the one with the twist brush. So far s good.
I like that one too - it is a great brush.
A very comprehensive review , so much work and thought has gone into this. Thank you. I am loving my Burberry Cat Lashes at present , followed by Gucci. Must try the Lancôme.
Thank you so much! I still want to try the Gucci one sometime. I have heard wonderful things about it.
@@LexiJong It is pink packaging! It is worth trying.
@@love2jewelpink50 lol! You and your pink!
I agree with you , Lancôm Idol mascara it does it all !
Thanks for the review!
Yes it does! I am very impressed with it and it's a great price!
Hey boo heyyyyyy I love and needed this video I need a new mascara love this video love 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you Kiaaj!
Thank you so much for the rundown!!! This was quite the effort and much appreciated! Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2 is my personal favorite. I’ve used quite a few on your list, but that one is my most used. Quick thought - it was hard to see the effect on your eyes as you were applying and showing after, and lighter colored eyeshadow would, I think, have made it a little easier to discern the differences. 💕
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to keep that in mind the next time I do one of these. I will have to try the Charlotte Tilbury.
Hey lexi .. yayyyyy going to love this .. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗
I am so glad!
@@LexiJong ❤️❤️❤️
@@LexiJong I’m definitely trying the Sisley mascara I love the so intense one xx
@@BeautyHasBeenX i love it!
Oopps, I'm so sorry! The last time I asked you for a comparison between the Surratt noir lash tint and the Shiseido tint mascara, I was completely unaware of this running project of yours! But I'd like to thank you for this great video, I'd wish there were more content creators out there like you - I mean free in selection, schedule and opinion. Especially more with my poor poor lash situation, you are so blessed with your lashes, really. I can count my lashes per eye...
Thank you! I appreciate that! I am definitely lucky with my lashes so I am thankful for them.
This is such an informative review. Great job. It was no surprise that the Surratt was the number one. Lol. I want to pick it up during the sale right now. I also want to try the new Sisley.
Thank you so much! They are both awesome!
Great video! And very detailed. Now I want to try the surrat one..
I just tried benefit roller mascara and I liked it!
I have the same preference as you. I don’t like clamps in my mascara and I care about lash separation.
Thank you!
Omg Lexi I’ve been waiting for this one 😂
Yay! I hope you enjoy it!
A very helpful video Lexi, thank you. For a long time that the Chanel Le Volume is my fav. For the lower lashes I use the Clinique (small brush, special for the lower lashes). Havr a great day. Ida
Thanks for sharing!! I love small wands for lower lashes.
This video was very helpful. Have you tried Clarins mascaras? I like them a lot. I have sensitive eyes and the clarins doesn’t make them sting. I also love the Dior over curl. Eyelash curlers make me nervous so the Dior really works for me to curl and lengthen. It’s also one of the few I’ve tried that doesn’t smudge or flake on me. My sample of Chanel le volume really flaked on me. Maybe it was an older sample but I was disappointed with the formula. Now you’ve made me curious to try that Surrat one. Really appreciate all the effort that went into making this video!
Thank you so much Queen B! I haven't tried Clarins yet but someone else also recommended them so I will have to check them out! The Surratt one is amazing!
Fabulous ranking video Lexi! Loved all the detail and honest opinions! Keep it up! ❤️
Thank you so much Randi! Have a great day!
Great video. For many years I was stuck with YSL faux macara. Last few years I forced myself trying new mascaras. I liked a lot Laura Mercier, Mr. big of Lancome, black NARS mascara and By Terry one which was the best for me. Few weeks ago in the box with some purchased make-up I got the trial size of Clarins Wonder Perfect which is incredibly good. I never used Clarins make-up as I preferred more upscale brands but this Clarins mascara really surprised me a lot. I definitely should try Lancome and Surratt mascaras you have mentioned in order to see either they are better than the Clarins one.
I haven’t tried all of those but the Lancôme mr. big is a really nice one for volume. I really enjoyed that one. I will have to try Clarins.
Great video! I have a hard time with Mascaras and last year chantecaiile was my favorite! But just tried a new Burberry mascara and not sure which one I love more! It’s so amazing on me!
I would love for you to do a video comparing all eyeshadow formulas for Burberry please. I see that there is a difference between singles and quads and wanted to know how bigger one compares to the other ones. What do you think😉😃
I'm so glad you found a great mascara! It takes a long time to find one you truly love. Burberry is in the process of reformulating all of their products and they are working on them one by one. I'm not going to buy any more of the older formulas at this time but I will be picking up the new palette and I have an older single that I will compare with it. I think it is a great idea to compare the formulas. Have a great day!
Great video, another great mascara is Serge Lutens it has been a cult favorite for years the stand out one is their mascara with the comb wand it actually has a tiny comb that is amazing it thickens, lengthens separates, ,and keeps your lashes uplifted like nobody’s business it also comes in a black brown color that is just perfect .Mascara is one of my things so I’ve just about tried them all.
Oh I think I need that one! I will have to see if I can find it! I don't see Serge Lutens very often. I have never tried their cosmetics but I have heard good things about their lipsticks too.
@@LexiJong Violet Grey carried it last time I checked it’s a great site that is curated by makeup artists hairdressers etc, also Saks carried it last time I checked, and they have a serge Lutens on line site!
@@christydudman2059 thanks! I love violet grey but i guess i missed them there. I usually search for specific brands there. I will check them out!
Wow what in-depth video on mascaras. I dont have any of your number ones. I definitely need to check out that Lancome, or Jonesroad and Sisley the lengthening one. And that Surrat sound great. I got Serge Lutens comb mascara.its so high rated by everyone, actually was hard to find in stock, but i dont see anything to be exited about. Maybe i need to try again, i used in a rush, maybe need to take time, to build up 🤔
I havent dealt with mascaras for years. I had lash extensions for around 6 years, what a waste of money 😂 and my lashes really got damaged. I just started seeing of little bit growing my lashes, and thats after a year, when i stopped getting lash extensions. I dont know if i ever recover my lashes. They wasnt too long, but i could see them well, in my old pictures. They were nice enough. And that mascara, the best ever, which of course got reformulated, its like discontinued , the YSL volume effect faux cils. I love Chanel metal terracotta one, such a gorgeous color, and Chantecaille one. Its non irritating for my sensitive eyes, and doesnt flake, even in the most humid Florida climate. But i do like more lengthening ones than volumising, especially with more bold eye look . Blessings 🙏💕
You may want to try the Sisley or Chantecaille mascaras since they have the lash serum in them. Lash extensions look lovely but i agree that it isn’t worth the damage.
As always, a great and very helpful video, Lexi. I've been using a few mascara now (Sisley So Volume, some Lancome - Hypnose is the one I prefer and the Estee Lauder one) but I am looking for a separating and lenghtening one, and since your first review of the So Stretch from Sisley I have been attracted to this. Thanks. One question: do you normally use primer before applying your mascara?
I use primer once in a while but usually I don't. I actually spoke with someone at Sisley and they said you don't need a primer with their mascara. I will use a primer for mascaras when I want more color impact but I don't use it on a regular basis.
@@LexiJong thank you, I use the Dior one but I do not see such a big difference in terms of sepratong and keep lashes stretched. I definitely have to try the So stretch from, Sisley
Here’s the best kept secret for tubing mascara and smaller eyes and sparser lashes. DHC mascara!
I adore this mascara and I also love the Surratt noir lash tint. I just ordered more of that one.
Great suggestion! I didn't realize they made a mascara. Thank you for sharing!
Not high end but I really liked Berlin becca highlighter and trying to find a dupe as was LE. A swatch video one day on highlighters I would like. At the moment I'm using the guerlain perles in the snowball dome but a little sparkly for me tbh
Great idea Elaine! I will add that to the list.
Thanks for the reviews! I finally gave up on non-tubing mascaras because every non-tubing mascara flaked on me. Didn't matter if it was luxury or drugstore. But tubing mascaras are not ideal. They don't hold the curl as well and can clump but that's better than getting raccoon eyes. My favorite tubing mascara is the one from Thrive but I want to try the Victoria Beckham one.
I really hate spending $$$ for luxury mascaras that you have to throw away within a few months though.
I agree with you. I usually don't buy mascaras as expensive as the Sisley but I had to try this one. It's hard to pay so much for something that won't last long but I have really been enjoying some of these.
Chanel le volume is beautiful!!
It is! Great classic!
Thanks Lexi. I am surprised you didn't like the So Intense because I thought it would be similar to the Surratt tint. I live in Canada so I would have to purchase from the US to get Surratt, and incur duties, fees, etc. I do it for some brands (Victoria Beckham/Lisa Eldridge), but don't do it too often. Cle de Peau is my absolute favorite but it is so hard to remove that I lose multiple lashes each time I use it. Too bad because I would use it everyday if I could get it off without great effort. You have impressive lashes by the way. When you panned out in the shot with the Burberry mascara, I was like, WOW! No wonder you aren't very interested in wearing false lashes.
Thank you Sarah! I wonder if the the So Intense in a full size would work better for me because of the whole thing abbot lining up the S to get the perfect amount on the brush. I like the formula but i just am not skilled with that type of brush. I haven’t tried the cle de peau but losing lashes sounds terrible!
Thank you again. Very long video but I watched it all. I haven’t still decided between Lancôme Idole and Chanel Le volume... I love Chanel but I’’m also attracted by the brush of Lancôme! Any suggestions?
I would try the Lancome. They sell minis so it isn't that expensive to try. If you are taking advantage of the sephora sale this month, I would suggest picking up a mini from there. I think you will really like it. It's a very versatile mascara and I like the brush more than the Chanel brush personally.
@@LexiJong you’re so precious! Thanks for you quick answer 🙏🏻 I’ll follow your advice and tell you my experience 😘
@@angelabenigno thank you! I would appreciate that!
I have the Victoria Beckham mascara- it’s my first tubing mascara. I agree with you regarding the excess mascara on the wand. I’m not a fan of the wand shape. The mascara looks fine on (it doesn’t really create volume.). I hate taking if off, though, because I have tiny little pieces of the mascara all over my face. I also do not like the new Chanel mascara- it’s really bad and irritated my eyes. I’ve been using the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes and I like it a lot. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and doesn’t flake off. The Surratt mascara sounds interesting. I will definitely try it. 😊
I haven't tried the Charlotte Tilbury mascara yet but I will check that one out. I was really surprised how bad the new Chanel is - one of the worst I've used in years!
I’m about to buy a Sisley So Stretch , but I’m wondering how it compares to Sisley Phyto-Mascara Ultra Stretch ?
I have not tried the ultra stretch, sorry!
Thanks for such a comprehensive review of good mascaras 🙏
I think my requirements are so similar to yours : don’t like wetness and have to leave for a period of time for that to recede ; will only buy brown mascara as it just seems to look more natural with my colouring , cannot abide the “ spidery “ look .....
I wish the Surratt came in brown as it was your top choice ! But really looking forward to trying the So Stretch . Thanks :)
@@helenpimms1559 thank you Helen! I am hoping Surratt makes a brown in the future!
The very best mascara I ever came across in my life was the Sensai Colours 38° Mascara. But I never purchased it again because it really doesn't come off with water under 38° like Celsius grade. I just can't tolerate hot water on my eye and face and any oil based remover can't help with this product. I so lost many lashes just in the process of removing the mascara ;)
That sounds terrible! I have heard of that one but didn't know it was so hard to get off. I can't stand anything damaging to my lashes!
@@LexiJong "Lash situation"s are very personal, I think. I know, that we don't have the same lashes - mine are very strong, countable on every eye, short and straight (asian hair). Even more, I appreciate that you focused on this topic in general really :))) Just love your content!
@@skinterest_sonja thank you! I appreciate it Sonja!
I wore this for years but now because of virus can no longer get this on Amazon .
You can remove it easily with an oil-based remover .
@@helenpimms1559 thank you for the heads up!
