Hey Jay, I agree with your thinking! We have considered putting the poly under the main beam, but we have not come up with a good way to fasten it... We thought about trying to use an Industrial adhesive to bond the 3/8" poly plate to the steel as trying to fasten with bolts would just end in the bolt heads wearing off and losing the whole plate. For now, it's just an idea as we welded steel plates wider than the beam onto the bottom to buy us time until we figure out a permanent/better solution.
We really barely saw the scraper works. You showed us your face 78% of the time, and even when you were pointing out something about the scraper, you barely turned the camera. Do better next time. Thank you.

A comment without explanation...could you be more specific as to why you consider these animals poor? I would argue that these are some of the best cared for animals IN THE WORLD. They have a roof over their heads in the harsh winter months, excellent feed in a balanced ration, and endless fields to graze and rest in during the growing season all while being with their herd!
What about putting poly under the main beam also to reduce sand wear on the metal plates?
