    Revisiting this video and comparing to 2021 and 2022 3163BP. This camper looks better and has a way better layout design and has a higher quality build to it. 2014-2018 were the best years to buy campers and after 2018 they started caring more about profit so they reduced the amount of time to build and top quality material

    • @campingworld

      Hey, Ian Baker here. A lot has certainly changed in the industry, that's for sure. A big change in Montana happened when a certain newcomer to the Fifth Wheel market started taking a bunch of market share because they looked great and had a good story. People failed to see the value in solid stiles, a rear cap, higher end Noble Classic fiberglass, etc. So Montana removed those items to reduce cost and be more in line with their newest competitor. You could get some of those options back, but it was a few thousand to do so. I don't know that I'd say that manufacturers only care about profit. While they certainly are for profit businesses, I think it's also that many customers are willing to sacrifice quality if that means they pay less for a product. They may not realize that's what's they're doing, but that has certainly been the trend I've seen over the past several years, which is why very few travel trailers and fifth wheels have rear caps today.

    It would be awesome if the camper manufacturers could put a slide out
    " porch" on these campers...slides out from underneath the coach. Railing that fold down/ up

    • @creedhere1201
      @creedhere1201 6 років тому +1

      Actually, Joylynn, some of them do have a porch option. I'm pretty sure they call it a "party deck". If I'm not mistaken they are offered with some "Toy Haulers".

      Amelia, great question! Both sofas are tri-folds and therefore are capable of easily sleeping two adults each. So with 2 per couch and 2 in the king bed, you get 6! Thanks for watching and for the question!

    • @xNYCMarc
      @xNYCMarc 6 років тому +1

      Darryl Melnychuk I have the 2016 model. The floor plan is exactly the same except I don't have the pop up TV. My front wall is faux stone in the middle with the fireplace below the TV and entertainment center space on both sides. My living room also has an "L" shaped sectional sofa on the driver side instead of the love seat and separate "theater seats". Otherwise its exactly the same. I've been full-timing in it for just over 2 years now and I still love it. The iRelax mattress is shit. Don't believe what he says in the video. You will be replacing in 6 months of full-timing. It is very comfortable at first, but it wears quickly and forms indentations where you sleep that eventually become permanent to the point that they are still there when you get back in bed after not being in it all day. The unit is easy to heat in the winter and the water doesn't freeze until around 10 degrees F if you don't put skirting up. The central AC works great in hot weather too.

      We just got the 2018 brand new has some mi or issues we need to take in and get fixed after taking it for memorial day weekend bed is king and suppose to be a top bed but we found it too firm for us so we put the my pillow king bed top on top and it still fits with both slides bedroom with dual slide is super for carpet people there is a vac system front living is super and comfy driving is ok but very long and takes time to get back straight pulling with new f-250 and that does good pulling we didnt get wash-dryer opted to keep that storage space get a step laser for kitchen fridge is nice but doesn't run while traveling have to have shore power for it to hookup good storage outside make sure doors are closed when opening or closing awning . Table works great for two and is easy to setup for 4. The co trol panel spent look like that if you get legacy package which is very needed it adds several nice features like residential fridge hope this helps

    Hey man love the videos. Could I live in this? I really don't want an apartment and was just curious if it would be practical and cheaper? (I'm 14 and want to move out as soon as a turn 18)

    • @campingworld
      @campingworld  6 років тому +1

      Richard, many people do live in RV's so it is definitely possible. However there are a lot of other factors that go into that. Such as you need to make sure you have a vehicle that can tow it. They do require a fair bit of maintenance, so it'll help if you're handy. The biggest hurdle however will most likely be getting financed for it. At such a young age, it's near impossible to have credit and most lenders see RV's as a "luxury" item meaning that the requirements for getting financed are stricter than that of say cars. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just letting you know that will be the toughest part. Thanks for watching and best of luck to you!

      Richard, tiny homes are much easier, lighter, cheaper. You can fairly easily build one yourself, as small as you want. You can make one on the back of a truck. We're looking at these for travel in a few years, but it's so difficult to find something that I will be happy with, because they are alllll the same... The bathrooms are super small, they want to combine living rooms and kitchens, and they want a separate bedroom. If you're by yourself, why the hell do you even need a separate bedroom?? Look more into tiny homes, and research building them. You can easily make them in a hauling trailer, hope trailer, a bus, etc. There are endless videos on how to do everything step by step, and you can be fully off grid, which is what we are wanting. If you need more info, let me know 👍

    • @ajpotter518
      @ajpotter518 6 років тому

      Racing Richard yes it's cheaper in the long run. However, you might find it hard to get a 80,000 loan at 18. But, worth looking into other models. Look into the Cougar 367fls. This is my model and 2018 running about 45,900. Good luck

    Bought one that did not have a secure outer siding...made multiple calls and they would not stand behind their product even though when it was installed you can see where it is missing 14 screw holes that were only half screwed in. I called for several managers and they just say it could not happen. I verified with the previous owner and the company that has done all repairs on the RV and both state this panel was not installed. I would not buy anything from this company they do not product a quality product and they do not stand behind their poorly made produce. I just paid almost $3000 for a repair I should not have been responsible in my opinion.

      DEALWITHIT DREALIST your comment doesn't make any sense bud. Cedar Creek LITERALLY uses the EXACT same style grab handle. If you have legitimate complaints about a Montana product, that is fine. But please don't make a negative comment about ANY product unless you have true factual information to back it. Cedar Creek is a great product, you're absolutely right. However so is Montana. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.
