For anyone who's struggling with how simultaneous casting works, here's an example that you can try for yourself. If you put 5 different spells on a wand, for example: Butterflies, Laser, Snakes, Arcane explosion, Deceptive Mine. If this is set up on a wand without simultaneous casting at all, when you cast with the wand: the first click shoots butterflies. the second click shoots a laser. The third click shoots snakes. the fourth click shoots arcane explosion. The fifth click shoots deceptive mine. The sixth click loops back around and shoots butterflies again. With simultaneous casting, say Simultaneous Cast +2. This means that when you click one time, your wand will shoot Butterflies and Laser. Your second click will shoot Snakes and Arcane explosion. Your third click will shoot deceptive mine but it doesn't shoot the butterflies (Simultaneous casting won't loop around "in the middle" of a cast. So the third click wouldn't loop, but the the 4th cast would start over at butterflies). Simultaneous cast +5 would then shoot all 5 of your spells in this example, per click. If you were to have Simultaneous Casting +8 in this example, it's still only going to cast the 5 spells on your want without looping around per one click because the wand won't loop back to the first spell in the middle of a simultaneous cast. So, for example Simultaneous Cast +10 would not cast all your spells twice per click. They would still be cast only once per click. I hope this helps anyone who's not sure how simultaneous casting works. Best of luck!
Weird tip to share that it took me a few runs to catch on to: Don’t reroll things you have 2 of. Seriously, just stockpile until you have 3, upgrade them, then reroll TAHT. The reforge stays at the same upgrade level, so it’s MUCH more efficient
Ive been playing this game for like a year (?) Now and its awesome to see it getting some well deserved attention. The wacky stuff you can do is really fun.
Your wands have separate MP, so you can use a different wand after emptying your current one. You can do that to optimize your damage if you don't have wand spirits.

I just had the most absurd run, where I got the legendary relic where every time i pick up coins I gain life, then i got the skill that shoots your own coins that you then have to go pick up. Basically invincible at that point. The damage on my build wasnt even particularly good.

I got this combination too and able to scale the damage to 20k for the first shot with full gold. And also figured you can pair it with cast when hit which let the second spell inherit 60% of damage (at 2 stars) to maximize the dps.
Oh, I knew it was a Supergiant soundtrack! Lots of similarities to Bastion and Hades music. Pyre is the only one of their games I didn't play. I probably should...
Hey Haelian! Simultaneous cast explanation: Normally, your wand casts spells one at a time, from left to right. (The time inbetween each cast is the “Cast interval”) When you have simultaneous cast +x, it will cast that many spells all together. If you only have one spell in your wand, obviously this isn’t a meaningful upgrade, but something like three arcane blasts and Simultaneous cast +3 is powerful! The relationship between cast interval and CD is that simultaneous cast removes the interval, and you’re more often waiting on cooldown time.
I bought this game for myself the other day after watching you play it and its absurdly fun! I've beaten the game on normal difficulty with some crazy runs, and it still feels like there's so much to try
Since you seem to have the training ground at the camp by now, i say if you confused about something still even after many had said how something works, you can always just grab the right wand/spells and just try it yourself. Although, it seems to only allows things you seen or had before at one point unfortunately. Though, sometimes the best experience is to just do another run and might come up with something with what little you have.
Man I wanted to watch this so bad but I absolutely cannot stand the way you play this game ;-) You're Hades play throughs are some of my most favorite videos ever but there is something about this game that drives me nuts watching you play it; I don't know what it is either... Oh well, I'll see ya in the next game sir, enjoy the game
I found out that poison is the most broken thing this game has. With the right build you easily get 100k tick dmg on the final bosses with poison. It melts everything
The RNG aspect definitely gave me Noita vibes. After I saw this build I went and bought the game. I managed to get most of the same spells (not over-scatter or that super Legendary) and my results were just... just so much worse, lol. I got to the final boss each time and just got nuked beyond belief every time. Walked through the rest of it except the eye things that I couldn't actually kill/hit fast enough without taking a hit.
Simultaneous cast might allow to cast more spell at once, instead of one after the other. I don't have the game yet, so i can't try this myself. Edit : nevermind , you figured that out short after ^^'
Awesome gameplay but I really would hope for a little more attention when playing. The crystal making some spells freeze and the "I don't know" like, dude, YOU are playing, you should know. That being said, amazing gameplay and heres for more content.
Poison is actually crazy good in this game, particularly on beefy targets. Also, indiscriminate damage can destroy some stuff that ordinarily can't be broken, like the buzzsaw traps. [Edit:] --Also-also, Automatic Navigation & Track, the auto-homing & cursor-homing mods, respectively, definitely seem to override each other; only the rightmost tracking effect will happen, so if you really want to Track, AutoNav is a wasted slot.-- [Re-edit:] You noticed it like 2min after that edit, lmao. I'm lazy, so I prefer auto-aim over having to aim for most things. Lightning Dash is about the only thing I'd want to aim, and only if I'm actually in the dash.
Additionally, frost, slow, & poison are all generally mutually exclusive. A spell can only be imbued with one of these elemental effects, and if you have multiple of them on a wand, it picks at random.

Ah massive pet-peeve of mine is when I see games show you the damage numbers but DON'T show you the healthbars of the enemies, making those numbers utterly pointless to me. At least the elites and bosses have it, but I really dislike this trend of giving you the damage info but NOT showing you the actual IMPACT of those numbers. I literally skip games when they implement this "design" choice - or look up mods to enable those bars (Did it for the Gungeon - made the game and taking out enemies - especially chunky ones, way more satisfying).

There are settings to increase the transparency of your spells and summons so you can still tell what’s going on when things get crazy
You were summoning about 6000 lightning storms at the end, more if you got the duplicate relics to proc.

Not using that 3rd wand seemed so wasteful when it had auto cast
Which 3rd wand?
simultaneous casting just makes it that the wand casts X number of spells on the right of it at the same time
That was a fun show throughout! I learned a few things...still trying to beat the 3rd level.
should try throwing a spell onto the floor by that hole 38:14

I'd love to see more of this!! Also, not sure if you still play them but maybe more balatro or dungeons & degenerate gamblers?
How do you get the shortcut room with 4 rewards?

There is a spell opacity setting to help with visibility on these crazy builds I keep mine about 20%
We will need this later...
Both builds I've seen you play so far rely on aiming with the mouse. Would you bother playing this game with a controller?
I tried with controller and it works fine but swapping spells around is more cumbersome I would say.
