I'm watching this for the first time, 18 months after you filmed it. Towards the end someone mentioned a day in the life, your cleaning routine, etc. I'm 57 years old and my children are all adults and I've found that the routine of decorating and switching out for the seasons and deep cleaning have all fallen to the weigh-side because I guess I have felt like I've done that already. However, watching you change your seasons out and deep clean in between has spurred me on and already I've found myself thinking about how you've cleared away one thing and cleaned up while putting out another and I am back to doing those things too. Your channel has given me a new sense of hope and calmness and restored the things in me that I once loved so much. Thank you!

Hi Mary, I always suspected you were from the Amish and that you were Christian for sure! You have the sweetest demeanor and I always enjoy your projects. I am a (Fundamental Independent Baptist) Christian black woman (I don't wear head covering) and I wear skirts or dresses all the time. Like you it is a personal conviction based on my Christian beliefs, but I know people who wear pants that love the Lord very much. I really want a silhouette cameo. I may try to get one for my B-day in July. I do have a shop and I could use one. Your Trash to Treasures are my absolute favorites. The hardest things I've done so far are wreaths, I paint furniture too. You did a great job, thanks for the insight!

I absolutely love watching everything that you do here on UA-cam I have watched just about everyone of your videos and I love that you love animals and I also love redoing furniture every time I see you redo an old piece of furniture I think about how sad it looks that no one has taken the time to take care of it then after you give it a little love and redo it and make it look all pretty again it almost looks like that furniture has a big smile on it it just warms my heart to see someone like me doing things that they love doing keep up the good work you are so beautiful inside and out
I love that you shared some, it's never easy, if your sole purpose is to make some beautiful things to sell to help your family. But I feel you are such a humble and true to yourself that brings so much attention to your channel. I don't know how I found your channel, but I love easy DIY, and trying to fix some things in my house, as money isn't always easy to come. But I have a nice home and love DIY. Just found your channel today and loving all you do! You are not behind in the world at all. We are going back to simple. My scottish immigrant strict catholic parents, mostly mother raised us similar. I can see in the way you do and reuse things. Technology changes so much and can be learned. It’s the sharing. My mother’s motto that she said was her mother’s was “volunteer and share skills”. I’m going to teach sewing pretty soon here but now I retired with my partner more rural, kind of, 2,000 people but a big tourist town, home of Mt. Whitney the tallest mountain, but high desert, so relearning my plants. I’m expanding the things I do. I am more fully committing to all recycle. Much of my wardrobe has been thrift clothing all my life. I upcycled and recycled as my mother did before it was cool. But the new twists on it are great. All this reminds of he hippie 70 days mixed in with the good days of old HGTV shows of the 80s. The young also have great ideas they just use glue to sew! Ha. So I have 8 sewing machines, a repainted and refloored workshop. Maybe I will follow suit and make a youtube channel. I do plan themed workshops. My focus is upcycling but also in the fit of clothing for women while making original garments. My favorite thrift store where I lived was run by the Mennonites. Great thrift here too. Most things cost $1. Ha, I only show what worked too. Have boxes called UFOs. Unfinished objects but it all becomes something else one day.
I'm United Pentecostal so like you I love being UPC and dressing like I do. I also love doing things like the late 1800's and early 1900's. but having said that I do love modern things as well. I enjoy your videos as my daughter and myself do some of the same projects as you. I can honestly say I've never been bored even one day in my life. Keep the wonderful videos coming!!! I have started to do some little craft projects. It's been raining cats and dogs here in CA. Hi Mary! It's great to get to know you. I knew you were a Christian, right from the first video I saw!!😀 You radiate the peace and love of the Lord. Of course your love of words from Scripture on your projects says so much. I have said before that I can see your life and who you are mirrored in Proverbs 31. And that passage has really come alive. You are very real and your husband definitely found a good thing 😉(not flattery but encouragement!)It's great to watch and learn from you. Thank you! My husband has recently taken early retirement from a lifetime in construction. He suffers badly with his knees. But not being someone to do nothing, he is setting up on his own in a small way doing some carpentry and woodworking. I hope to be involved with him and we're thinking of getting a Cameo for me to use on some smaller stuff. So I'm going to be hitting the thrift store soon!! Very interesting,you inspire me with your talents. I just try things too and figure it out. People say how can you be so good at that when I do something new, but they don't see all the mess ups and failures at first. You can't be afraid to try and try again. I have been a quilter, woodworker, gardener and all sorts of things. I took up crochet when I retired and after a year I was designing sweaters and purses. You are so good at demonstrating and I am glad you are inspiring people to try things. I would never know that English was your second language either..
Loved it! Loved the "rambling" too. :) We purchased a home 7 yrs ago and it's been needing some TLC. We are about to redo the kitchen. I was going to purchase new cupboards but after watching your videos, I've decided to keep what I have, removed the bottom cupboard doors and replace them with homemade ones. Then we will paint them. I also want to add open shelves instead of closed cupboards on the top ... along with a plate rack for my everyday dishes. Wishing you were my neighbor! I could use the help and advice! lol Would love a video on your daily time management. Often wonder how women can do this and yet keep an everyday living schedule (house chores, etc). You're my number one go-to for do-overs!

As a life long quilter, I have had many Amish and Mennonite friends. I just love watching your channel...your faith, and creativity is so refreshing! You are a very creative person. Wow. I hope you grow from strength to strength. Just a note on the head covering. Paul clarifies in the Bible that the covering of a woman in the church, spiritually is her husband. If she is unmarried, it's the eldership. The women's hair is in fact her covering so there is no need to wear an additional physical covering. God bless

Hi Mary, I always suspected you were from the Amish and that you were Christian for sure! You have the sweetest demeanor and I always enjoy your projects. I am a (Fundamental Independent Baptist) Christian black woman (I don't wear head covering) and I wear skirts or dresses all the time. Like you it is a personal conviction based on my Christian beliefs, but I know people who wear pants that love the Lord very much. I really want a silhouette cameo. I may try to get one for my B-day in July. I do have a shop and I could use one. Your Trash to Treasures are my absolute favorites. The hardest things I've done so far are wreaths, I paint furniture too. You did a great job, thanks for the insight!

I absolutely love watching everything that you do here on UA-cam I have watched just about everyone of your videos and I love that you love animals and I also love redoing furniture every time I see you redo an old piece of furniture I think about how sad it looks that no one has taken the time to take care of it then after you give it a little love and redo it and make it look all pretty again it almost looks like that furniture has a big smile on it it just warms my heart to see someone like me doing things that they love doing keep up the good work you are so beautiful inside and out
I love that you shared some, it's never easy, if your sole purpose is to make some beautiful things to sell to help your family. But I feel you are such a humble and true to yourself that brings so much attention to your channel. Just found your channel today and loving all you do! You are not behind in the world at all. We are going back to simple. My scottish immigrant strict catholic parents, mostly mother raised us similar. I can see in the way you do and reuse things. Technology changes so much and can be learned. It’s the sharing. My mother’s motto that she said was her mother’s was “volunteer and share skills”. I’m going to teach sewing pretty soon here but now I retired with my partner more rural, kind of, 2,000 people but a big tourist town, home of Mt. Whitney the tallest mountain, but high desert, so relearning my plants. I’m expanding the things I do. I am more fully committing to all recycle. Much of my wardrobe has been thrift clothing all my life. I upcycled and recycled as my mother did before it was cool. But the new twists on it are great. All this reminds of he hippie 70 days mixed in with the good days of old HGTV shows of the 80s. The young also have great ideas they just use glue to sew! Ha. So I have 8 sewing machines, a repainted and refloored workshop. Maybe I will follow suit and make a youtube channel. I do plan themed workshops. My focus is upcycling but also in the fit of clothing for women while making original garments. My favorite thrift store where I lived was run by the Mennonites. Great thrift here too. Most things cost $1. Ha, I only show what worked too. Have boxes called UFOs. Unfinished objects but it all becomes something else one day.
I'm United Pentecostal so like you I love being UPC and dressing like I do. I also love doing things like the late 1800's and early 1900's. but having said that I do love modern things as well. I enjoy your videos as my daughter and myself do some of the same projects as you. I can honestly say I've never been bored even one day in my life. Keep the wonderful videos coming!!! Hi Mary! It's great to get to know you. I knew you were a Christian, right from the first video I saw!!😀 You radiate the peace and love of the Lord. Of course your love of words from Scripture on your projects says so much. I have said before that I can see your life and who you are mirrored in Proverbs 31. And that passage has really come alive. You are very real and your husband definitely found a good thing 😉(not flattery but encouragement!)It's great to watch and learn from you. Thank you! My husband has recently taken early retirement from a lifetime in construction. He suffers badly with his knees. But not being someone to do nothing, he is setting up on his own in a small way doing some carpentry and woodworking. I hope to be involved with him and we're thinking of getting a Cameo for me to use on some smaller stuff. So I'm going to be hitting the thrift store soon!! We live in Belgium, so it'll be trial and error as obviously we can't get all of the some brands of paint etc. Anyway.....enough rambling from me 😊 Looking forward to more of your trash to treasure videos. Very interesting,you inspire me with your talents. I just try things too and figure it out. People say how can you be so good at that when I do something new, but they don't see all the mess ups and failures at first. You can't be afraid to try and try again. I have been a quilter, woodworker, gardener and all sorts of things. I took up crochet when I retired and after a year I was designing sweaters and purses. You are so good at demonstrating and I am glad you are inspiring people to try things. I would never know that English was your second language either..
Loved it! Loved the "rambling" too. :) We purchased a home 7 yrs ago and it's been needing some TLC. We are about to redo the kitchen. I was going to purchase new cupboards but after watching your videos, I've decided to keep what I have, removed the bottom cupboard doors and replace them with homemade ones. Then we will paint them. I also want to add open shelves instead of closed cupboards on the top ... along with a plate rack for my everyday dishes. Wishing you were my neighbor! I could use the help and advice! lol Would love a video on your daily time management. Often wonder how women can do this and yet keep an everyday living schedule (house chores, etc). You're my number one go-to for do-overs!

As a life long quilter, I have had many Amish and Mennonite friends. I just love watching your channel...your faith, and creativity is so refreshing! I love that you are learning more and doing more but your rawness, and being real is what makes this channel so wonderful! There are many crazy people out there trying to be seen at any cost and I don’t end up following them very long. I love seeing the simple, yet gorgeous way you live and handle your business. We should all strive to be more humble and gracious as you my dear.

I grew up in Chardon, Ohio, very close to amish and have always been infatuated with the lifestyle but I'm sure there are very valid reasons why you left. Love your channel!
You are a very creative person. Wow. I hope you grow from strength to strength. Just a note on the head covering. Paul clarifies in the Bible that the covering of a woman in the church, spiritually is her husband. If she is unmarried, it's the eldership. The women's hair is in fact her covering so there is no need to wear an additional physical covering. God bless
