I really appreciate this approach. It makes a lot of sense, and seems like it will make fitting more efficient. It seems like this method of fitting could work for other bra patterns as well.
I love that even though this is a fitting toile no one will ever wear you took the time to make sure the lace was pretty on both cups. This video was super helpful, I feel more confident starting my willowdale.
Wires shouldn't sit on the breast. Some people with very close set breasts, will overlap the wires at the bridge, so it is very narrow, but some people need a lower cut wire to achieve the wires not sitting on breast tissue.
To help control slippery fabrics when cutting, I print/trace my pattern onto freezer paper and iron them to the fabric then cut. They can be re-ironed to the lining fabric and they will stick pretty well the second go around.
There are different hacks to move the slide to the front, but this pattern was not designed that way. I am not the designer of the pattern, I only partnered with them. There are not many front closing bras unless they are demi cut. Annie and Myras has a front closure bra you might want to check out. Their Vivian Bra is a front closure. www.annieandmyras.com.au/shop
So many really helpful tips - thank you very much (P.S. what a super mom you are to give your daughter "her sewing room").
Thanks. I wish she used her sewing room more. Mostly is just collects stuff
I love it! the thoughtfulness put into your construction! thank you!!
You are very welcome.
Very informative, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very beautiful.
Thank you! 😊

Absolutely. It can work for any bra pattern fitting.
Thanks so much for this Jennifer! It was so helpful and detailed especially re the tip on the bridge width which I have always wondered about.
I'm glad you found this helpful!

Its always better to practice for the final bra, so you know what to do when you make your final bra.
Brilliant thank you.
You are very welcome.
Oof, I'm so glad I watched this. I never realized if there wasn't space between the breasts that I'd need demi wires. Thanks for that!

That's a great tip. I'll definitely have to try that.
🙂🙂🙂🙂
Wait, did you sew the band without the lining? Won't that change the fit due to stretch? Maybe I missed something.
I sewed the band with the lining. I just glued them together since it wasn't a final bra.
Ooohhh. I missed where you did that. Ok.
@@barbf8628 It was a log video, so it would be easy to miss.
I could reach the slider if it were in front. I could connect my bra with less of a challenge if I could do that in the front of my body.
