Wow, I am so HAPPY I found this clip. Jose is a really intelligent person, but a bit shy, like all of you said. But in this clip, he looks more outgoing. I wish I would have had a chance to meet him in person... And I wish I understood Spanish... Bravo, dear Jose!
@31operafan I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Carreras at the reception desk at the concert in Prague. Very nice and very distinguished gentleman. His intelligence is in the air. (This is not good for the call. One does not want to look stupid :-)). Plácido Domingo is more jovial; a man next to him relaxed and not afraid to joke. (Both men have very happy as an artist and as a person.)
@31operafan I have some recording with Placido Domingo. Up to publish them, so write a "funny stories" with this pleasant gentleman. Maestro Carreras was very nice, but "funny stories" were not. :-) Just a polite smile, a few nice words and look beautiful, deep, spanish eyes... But that was a long time ago :-))
