    Happy Wednesday Friends! I'm very excited to share another educational video with you today. This video covers the mechanics of sound by looking into breathing (inhale & exhale) and embouchure (aperture and tension control). We discuss the most common error and the best method and exercises to improve it. Hope you find this useful and informative. Sheet music is available in Bass Clef, Treble Clef and 8vb Tuba Bass Clef.

    Hi Friends! Apologies for slight delay with content this week but hopefully you'll enjoy this educational video on sound mechanics, the most common mistake I see in younger students when it comes to it and exercises and methods to help address this issue. Don't forget to show love and support by sharing, liking, commenting and subscribing. Sheet music is available for download at www.matonizz.com/product/sound-mechanics/

    This is so great for people who are just learning how to play. When n you are in school it is just blowing through whatever instrument you have. Having it explained is so interesting. Thanks.

      Thanks nyancs. I'll do some trombone stuff us well. I normally warm up with trombone so I might do a video on doubling instrument routine.

    Why do exhalation excercises with the mouth Open? That provides no comparable flow resistance to actually playing. I inhale with the nose as much as possible and only supplement with the mouth corners if required (which is rare). Then exhale through comfortably closed lips (the air pressure will open a small resistive aperture which is a comparable resistance to playing a tone. But not a buzz.
    And no, the lips do not create air compression.

    • @Matonizz
      @Matonizz  Рік тому

      It's not targeted to exhalation if mouth is open but rather inhalation. I highly recommend you check full video, I explain why I recommend starting breathing exercises with open mouth and then moving to sealed lips in great detail :)

    Hello matonizz I’m looking on buying the Besson BE2052 Prestige Series Compensating Euphonium but I don’t really know which one to get, I’m not too pleased with the one I have what do you recommend?

    • @Matonizz
      @Matonizz  Рік тому

      Besson is pretty good but they have been very inconsistent over the recent years in regards to their quality. I would recommend checking Adams E2 if you are looking for a Pro Line Euphonium.

      Ideally, you want to time your embouchure and air precisely together and avoid air going behind your embouchure. That's not an easy thing to do. To practice that, start by blowing air before engaging embouchure/making sound and as you get better at the sensation, you'll notice that the duration of time that the air goes before sound comes out becomes shorter and shorter, to the point where it's timed precisely together. Hope that explains!
