What you said in 14:44, I learned that the hard way. Soldering not melting to my hand getting burned, it turns out that my iron was 40W and my ceiling fan was too powerful to let it reach melting point. I had to replace it.

WEP sending you a free piece of equipment, no strings , shows a few very big things:
1 - they support your channel, if not directly, then by simply 'you have their approval' - that shows they have good taste.
2- they are extremely confident their product will work with your needs
3- they really want your professional feedback, as someone who uses products like theirs often.
    - nothing like using other products at around $200 US to fix a $1.5K+ product.
(also love the random explosions, they make me chuckle)
If I am ever in need of an airflow station - I will definately re watch this video and remember WEP

I see your subs are now rocketing up faster than the temps on your new hot air station and deservedly so. This has now become my favourite repair channel. It's a combination of your skills, video production, clear explanations and magnetic personality. There are not many repair channels I've discovered with this particular winning combination so you'll now get your silver play button in no time now and then beyond. In fact I'd start working on a patreon channel if you don't already have one. :)

Your old hot air station (with a blowing fan inside the gun) is suitable for mobile phone PCB repair and for soldering BGA balls when you reball it (because of the low air flow).
It struggles to deliver the heat quickly on thick boards (leading to damages most of the times).
But your new one is way better for reflowing the GPU because the air flow is stronger and it delivers the heat onto the PCB quickly.

Great fix! I recently sent my card to a big store in my country for repairs. I didn't have high hopes, and indeed, they couldn't fix it. Instead of admitting their inability, they tried to obfuscate the situation, making it sound like a mystery of technology that someone like me couldn't comprehend. They told me, 'You opened the card and droped the VRAM cooler. The VRAM was too hot, causing damage to the surrounding circuits.' (im opened the cars 8 month ago to replace dried paste, it work fine till recent, the thermal pad still there im not remove it, i dont know what other part is vram cooler outside of main heatsink that it contact to with pad) When I inquired about the possibility of repairing it, they once again resorted to vague technical language, instead of 'This card is broken too badly and cannot be repaired' they say 'This line of products cannot be repaired.' what line? try tell me that whole product line of some brand that somehow cant be repaired or what
