Greatest city ever I swear. I was born and raised in Toronto,Ontario lived there for 19 years than moved to montreal and now I've been living here for 2 years and I will never leave this godly city. It is incredible year-round
Believe it or not, I live in Cancun, and I used to live in montreal, and I miss that city so much. I wish I could be there. Those pics were exactly the places I used to hang out. Thanks for bringing back my memories.
Montreal is simply amazing. I sometimes forget wen im walking threw the cold snow or when the heat is slowly cooking me. Lol but thank man this was great for inspiration. I live in the greatest city in the world. Even better then New York :) montreal is an awesome place to b all seasons
very very nice ! wow ! I taught of the idea to do something like it , but I see it needs much organization !!! very impressed about your video ! Congratulation !
Its true that winter is fun here in Montreal, BUT only for one month, and only fresh snow. After that, it gets brown real fast. winter are long, 8 month to be precise, 8 month of cold air that you can feel it in your spine even when your inside. Go for a firer place, its the way to go. Summer, its cold at night and real warm in the day, just like in the dessert. Lets say that you can have a minimum difference of 20 degree between night and day. Lots of thing to do in Montreal. But, not he best from a long shot.
Patrice Marquis It's not cold at night in Montreal you can wear a t-shirt outside at night wtf are you talking about. Montreal is a big city, in urban cities it's hotter at nights
The contrast between seasons in Montreal is awesome. It's probably one of the cities in the world where the climate is the most contrasted. The winters are REAL ones and the summer are tropical hot and humid with plenty of sunshine. It says ''Summer'' but it seems that most of the summer pictures were taken in May which is technically not summer yet even though it looks like it. The photo of the Château Frontenac in Quebec City should not have been there.
Looks to me like Montreal is one of, if not the best, cities in Canada. Great healthcare, great transportation, great size, lots of culture and music, great summers, great winters, stir pot of cultures, relatively low rent, doesn't cost too much to own a car etc. etc. My only concern is learning the French language. Obviously if I moved there I would learn more and more, but how much is recommended do you think before you get there? Should you have the basics down?
Sorry to disappoint you but Montreal is one of the cities or the quality of life is the best in the world Montreal is not only one of the 20 largest cities in the world, but also one of the cities in the cost of living the most affordable...
sometimes schools have to close because of too much snow, ice, too cold temperature or bus engine that can't start. Sometimes weathers is so bad that the tower which support electrical line falls and entire section of cities can lose electricity during days. But its rare. schools usually lose 3 to 6 days per years. Business its rare, 1 or 2 max. It depends of people: if most of employee cant even go their job or if there is no electricity they have to close the shop.
@ramenx2 Hmm dont know if I am right but it does well indeed look like the place I was ice-skating in 3 years ago. Dont quite remember the name so good but something with Lafontaine
Get a triweather (shell and liner) coat like North Face or any sports clothing company make. You should be fine with it for cold days and you will have something lighter if it gets milder which it does often in February(everyone wears something like this in Montreal). For footwear get light hiking Goretex waterproof boots(not mountain boots, you'll look like a tourist), you'll walk a lot in Montreal and there is slush, snow and ice on the streets. Don't wear ski stuff...bienvenue a Montréal.
winter better, its cause u have CHRISTMAS, NEW YEARS, SNOW, AND SINCE THANKSGIVING AND BLK FRIDAY IS NEAR WINTER I LUV THEM. THE ONLY WAY U CAN ENJOY A SUMMER IS IF U GO ON VACATION AND DO SOMETHING FUN EVERYDAY BUT I STILL LIKE WINTER, I LUV DA DARK LONGER NIGHTS R SO COOL AND GOOD. NOTHIN BETTER THEN EATING HOT CHOCOLATE AT MANHATTAN IN MY NYC. PLUS U GOT A ONE WEEK VACATION AND U GET PRESENTS EVEN THO IN SUMMER U HAV NO SKOOL SUM DAYS CUDD GET REALLY HOT AND BORING AND STIKY TO HAV FUN
@ophy4 if u can make out signs than ur good. Montrealers are for the most part bilingual and trust me if u don't speak English don't worry cuz ur not alone. Montreal has the highest number of anglophones in Quebec. Anyways, let ppl know ur a tourist and they'll be create nice
Sometimes we have to just close some roads. Overall we are well equip to deal with all of this but nature is nature. Its like earthquake for some cities, we get use to it. In all winters there is a lot of snow storms, but major situation that requires to close business, roads, etc. : 1 or 2 usually. Big cities have less troubles usually because they have more ressources. Winter is shitty and brings lot of problem, but this or earthquake, volcanoes, tsunami, war.. I prefer dealing with winter XD
Ok guys, sorry in advance... I will be that moron who didn't put his snow tires on and who's slipping and sliding at 22 km/h with the hazards flashing.... I'm guessing around november 17
Montreal is not what it used to be because of street gangs and all the corruption and most cops are crooked .... Montreal is now one of the worst place to live ..... Very sad .....

0:45 i thought that was a real, live cow! I was like "WTF? Why hasn't it moved since it snowed? Someone should dig it out! Why is- ooooh!"
Where there's ice there's water and where there's snow there is lush green grass and trees. I love my city :)
1 year left and I will stand in that city, can't wait
Great video!!! Montreal is the best city!!!

I'm from Montreal, and I can tell you for sure, this castle is not there. It's a Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, in Quebec
@hasonap
You are correct, itis called Parc Lafontaine :-)
Nice video...
Anything specially interesting to do in December? I'm going with my wife and daughter from NY to Montreal from 19th to the 24th. Thank you.

cause of winter that we have the best Metro in the world !
If only Montreal had only summer all year long it would be the best place on earth
Nice Video
ummm, why is Quebec City featured at 2:43 when this video is clearly intended only for Montreal?!!

It's the castle of Bowser, where he hold as hostage the princess Peach.. That's where Mario saved her..we try to keep it secret so please !
Never thought that I'll miss it, but I really do :(

Summer gets very hot and humid in Montreal.
So true, I'm from a tropical part of Australia and this summer in Montreal is the hottest summer I've ever experienced.
How cold is it there?? :D
@ramenx2 Hmm dont know if I am right but it does well indeed look like the place I was ice-skating in 3 years ago. Dont quite remember the name so good but something with Lafontaine
Yup, lol but there is nothing like summer time in Montreal in my opinion :)
are you already there =D im coming soon too =P cant wait!
yup thats my city :)
Damn, Winters here are very long, but the first 2 months are beautiful, after that you start to get annoyed and wish for summer.
@krystalking7172 do you live in montreal yet ? :D
WOW... WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY?
@ChickadeelnMB Seems like the good memory of it didn't leave. Hopefully I come back in a year to start my studies.
Lol, that's in Montreal my friend..i live here so i should know ;)
@hasonap
Thanksss so much
My favourite season is winter...Australian winter, where 16 degrees is considered freezing
Nice
You should put the summer pic b4 the winter pic.
the main reason why i enjoy living in mtl is cuz i get to learn french (:
at 3:50 crecent street my favorit
@johnthenater Good thing I have my cousins as backup :P
French isn't a problem for me so I think I'll melt in quite well

Actually the level or corruption is below that of many other world class cities.
Nous aussi nous le remercions, dommage que tu ne l'ai pas fait plus tot..:)))

chateau frontenac is in quebec city not in montreal , but the video is beautiful
six more months to go. from where?
J 'aime habiter à Montreal.
@RandomNameTag -85? lol at winter we barely reach -30, we have over 80 in summer
we dont get winter.. we get BURIED
@MsBellaroma Was wondering the exact same thing.
Montréal c'est beau (mais Québec c'est mieux d'après moi :p )
It's colder in Montreal because it's damp cold. Minus 40 dry cold is nothing compared to minus 20 damp cold.
Just moved out from there after 10 years, thanx god!

@krystalking7172 sweet :)

In Quebec city, not in Montreal city..

@MoneysnHoneys not really, if you have your winter tires ;) wich is a law now
Not so sure about that !!
@lapdiboox yes even with the french. Its a positive, you learn a new language, live in a new atompshere, plus the french girls are just hot lol
@arrozconsalsa its even worse i lost my passport and i have to wait to go back... :*(
Winter > Summer.
Jesus Condom no
Ok guys, sorry in advance... I will be that moron who didn't put his snow tires on and who's slipping and sliding at 22 km/h with the hazards flashing.... I'm guessing around november 17

Those in the european lands girls is very weak aganst winter and the guys there love and can resist the winter like a viking!
@RandomNameTag you have no idea what your talking about.
Montreal is not what it used to be because of street gangs and all the corruption and most cops are crooked .... Montreal is now one of the worst place to live ..... Very sad .....
