What I love this comic the most, is the fact that Beidou was able to relate Ningguga's loss of the Jade Palace with her own ship. It takes a lot to relate to someone on very specific, the biggest thing is knowing how they think.

I know it's been a minute since this video came out but I have to commend the VAs. Ganyu only has a few lines but she's nearly indistinguishable from Jennifer Losi. Beidou's inflections and vocal mannnerisms are spot-on matches for Allegra Clark but the VA definitely put some Acting into it; there's a subtle vulnerability when she tries to give comfort the only way she knows how. And your Ningguang is a rock star; her voice is more elegant, but still conveys the air of a Very Important Lady. The softer voice, combined with the same attitude of "why are you still here I got stuff to do" is even more effective than the official. Those sweeter moments when she's agreeing to a lunch date with her best frenemy really pop. Plus that proper Chinese pronunciation that only a native speaker can pull off effortlessly is just *chef's kiss*
This was... this was... oh heck, I liked all of it. Great storyline, fantastic drawing/animation, awesome voice-overs. I can't wait for Inazuma and Beidou's quest... and I can't wait for more of these!!
When Beidou was speaking about replacing her ship, and thinking if it would be the same, I reminded the scene of The Ship of Theseus. For a moment I thought that was the twist. By the way, great work on the dub, and props to the original artist for the comic. The illustrations are really fantastic. 👌❤️
