It’s something about Black women in hats during the 90s that does something to me. To me, a good outfit can also be worn with a great hat, and Hilary’s hats were everything 🖤.
Hilary was pressure, she had IT. class, beauty and style. Everyone wants to be an it girl nowadays but the women back then really were IT GIRLS without having to tell people, they were known for being fabulous and everyone wanted to be around them. I still love her and get inspo from some of her outfits. I would love an updated Whitley and Toni Childs style video 😊😊😊
Fran and Hilary would've been such a good duo, I loved how they both didn't go by the rules when it came to dressing and were so girly and feminine. Hilary made me love blazers so much from a young age, the different necklines, colors and structures and how she made them her own. she was the epitome of hyper femininity and class
Hilary really was that girl, I loved playful she was with her wardrobe. I love when people play with colors in their wardrobe no matter what the season. Like when men wear colors it's so attractive, it just gives you a peak into their personality. Hilary was one of my favorite 90s fashion girlie 💖
I was obsessed with Hilary when I was younger lol her hats and suits were the bestt. I still love the black dress she wore with Malcolm in that episode, the quality of clothes were so much better back then too, I need her entire wardrobe 😩 They raise the price of everything while they decrease the quality it’s ridiculous, we need designers to put that same love and effort into their clothing like they did back in the day. Even luxury brands have gotten money hungry and raised the quality of their clothes and accessories have declined like *chanel* which is terrible because they were all about high quality and giving their clients the best product Shout to the Hi Five she likes me and Cameo Candy instrumental lol
Hilary Banks, Laura Winslow and Lisa Turtle were my favorite when it came to fashions. ❤❤❤ I love seeing classy mixed with $exy. Also the red dress she wore to the playboy mansion I'm still trying to find it. 😂
@@nicklundy9965 well she said HER favorites not who everyone else loves lol they’re fashion icons too but that doesn’t mean they’re her personal favorites
I was 18 in 2000 and moved into my own place. I was short on rent Sooo… I called my dad. In my Hillary banks voice I asked him for money and it worked! 😂 It wasn’t a habitual thing to ask but when I did he never picked up on the voice change.
Adults all dressed more mature in the 90s. If you watch reruns of Ricki Lake or other talk shows the twentysomethings would all have very middle aged hair and fashion
@@oooh19 I think there used to be a bigger divide between “youth” and “grownup” fashion. Also the 90s was a bit more conservative fashion wise so looking back on it a lot of women in their 20s seemed more matronly by today’s standards. Princess Diana (a major fashion influencer) was still in her 20s when Fresh Prince premiered and looked middle aged lol. The original Aunt Viv was about 34 in season 1 but the fashion made her look like she’s in her late 40s

Absolutely! Hilary had THEE best hats on tv ✨👒
I got crushed on actress Karyn Parsons
That's my child hood crush of the 90s.

I will definitely be adding them to the list. 📝

Please also do Ashley's wardrobe, it got better as she got older.
she ALREADY DID Ashley’s wardrobe. it literally takes two seconds to click her ‘iconic fashion’ playlist to see that
Had to add- I loved that you added the history of women’s suits. A video on that would be soooo good. I love when women wear suits
I love Hillarys style. This genre of black female characters is my favorite. ❤❤❤

I have to do a Laura Winslow video 🩷 If I’m not mistaken, I think the red dress she wore is Herve Leger 1993/1994.
And Whitley from "A Different World" and Regine and Max from "Livin Single"

Another fashion icon 💗
Regine from living single was a vibe every time loved her
Hilary is me 😂😂. She very iconic
Hilary was always my favorite character! She’s so beautiful! I think she’s too much of a star girl to be a side character!
Hilary was always my favorite character on the show. 💖
I just found your channel a couple days ago! We have so much in common with all the shows and music we like! It’s so fun hearing you talk about it! 💕
Do you know how we can find out the brands that were worn by Hilary? 😍
I love me some hilary
Could you do Niecy from All Of Us❤
She was so fabulous and dressed her body so well❤
please do a fashion video on samantha jones 😊
Omg i loved her style. So feminine, fun and even when she did sexy, she did it tastefully. Please please please do Mrs. Claire Huxtable, Esq.

I always loved Hilary hair ❤
I preferred Hillary’s curls to her straight her too. It fit more with her bubbly personality.
She was 21 in the first season?? Seemed older (not in a negative way I meant she dressed way more mature)
maybe she wanted to seem older and looked up to her mom and older women for an inspiration in fashion style? (im not sure)

@@bryanalstoncoxing I wonder why that is? I guess Gen X wanted to look older in their 20s?
