Little tip: You can make medical brews(red bottles) in the cooking pot. They heal a lot + very cheap. This will provide more time in the lava cave and you won't need to be in a rush
Butch, best way to mitigate losses (and losses will happen, almost no matter what) is to have a dedicated breeding pair of high-level dinos, and only take out imprinted offspring. And to avoid having your breeders react to whistles, set them to "Passive" and "Ignore Group Whistles". I usually leave my breeders at the default dino names, and only name the offspring so I can tell at a glance. Also, for most caves, you want one bred and imprinted dino with a decent saddle. Groups end up being too difficult to manage. If you want to have even more of an advantage, take two dinos of opposite gender, as they get a "mate boost" bonus to damage and resistance. ASA is still having issues with overspawns, which if anything like the ASE schedule, will be fixed after they release Scorched Earth. So, slow and steady, using a ranged weapon to pull smaller groups. Love your content! Keep it up. You are absolutely improving in leaps and bounds.

Perserving bin: spark powder, oil, and cooked prime/meat= jerky. 4. Breed high level dinos and imprint babies! Imprinting=better animals. 5. Get a Yutyrannus! There eggs make the best kibble and will tame all nonpassive tames (any level for eggs, doesn't matter). ***BONUS TIP*** When dealing with Rhynio, knockout the female, use melee weapons to lower health under 10%, put bronto next to her, when she has 100 seconds of torpor left then feed pheromone to dino, stand back and enjoy the show! (BTW the dino that is incubating the rhynio will have food cravings. The more cravings met the better stats). Butch, you're doing amazing! Please don't ever think about quitting, you have so many people around the world cheering for you! When you vocalize and chant your accomplishments, "Diiinnnoo, diiiinnno, diiinno...", we are too!
About the artifact pedestal, look in the middle-top section when opening its inventory. There is a box that says "Trophy" and that is where you place it after dragging it into the big inventory area on the right.
Hey Butch, if you are gonna use Sabers for caves at very least have two pretty high level ones BUT don't even use them for caves, just have them to mate and you essentially have unlimited versions of them. Then when you get ARK'd it's not so bad. Also Ghillie suits keep you cool and are great for the lava cave! I recommend getting a mated pair of Baryonyx instead Sabers for almost every cave. They are way more agile and will greatly help you in other caves which I don't want to spoil why.
32:50 Who else's heart sank as they saw he picking a stone pickaxe to get crystal? XD Look, Otters are also good at regulating temperature, they stay on your shoulder just like Spike did (RIP o7)

This may be an unpopular opinion but if you want to bring an army of dinos into a cave may I suggest Dimorphodons (small flying dinos that look like a mix between a bat with a T-rex type head). Here's why, if you find 2 high level, 1 male 1 female, breed them and take them out to level them up a bit, they are PERFECT for caves because they dont have to track you on the ground so you dont risk losing them off ledges and falling into holes, lava, water etc like walking dinos. And since they are small they fit into any land cave, they also do decent damage if you have high level ones. You dont have to worry about their turn radius, getting caught up on one another, falling off ledges, dont have to worry about not being able to follow you when you have to jump gaps and they can surround any predator. They are excellent at killing bats too. They are also not affected by knockback. Put all levels into health/melee. Tell them to attack targets ahead of you and stay back unless absolutely necessary so bats cant give you rabies and you and your mounts health can stay as high as possible the deeper you go. Dimorphodons are basically like taking a bunch of flying mini T-rexs with you! In my opinion flying armys are FAR better than ground mount armys just for the follow aspect alone. 🙂
Agreed. I like a little army of Dimorphs for some caves. Especially a certain very big one. I usually just go into caves with one mount and no other dinos, but where the terrain allows, Dimorphs can be very handy. That said, there is one cave where they try to follow you in and get stuck in the terrain and die of... exposure? Who knows. And after I experienced that and tried to bring another batch in manually one by one, a bunch fell through the terrain where I threw them down inside the cave and they also died. Awesome. I hate that cave.
Cloth armor is actually a pretty good idea in that cave. I tend to save any ascendant cloth pieces I get in drops, to use in there. Since you only need fiber and hide to repair them and it keeps you cool. Ghillie is also great but you need organic poly to repair it.
Calien soup is what you need for hot biomes you have the recipe in storage along with another you'll need for cold biomes, don't forget to build a couple of fridges use one for all your eggs and the other for crops and food.
Big tip; speed runs are a great strategy for caves, but do them with failing in mind! Don’t take all your high level stuff and Dino’s in there but breed a bunch of Dino’s for expendable use in the cave. This way you won’t lose hours of work but just minutes
Here are my notes for this video 1. Obviously you do whatever you find easiest, but I would personally recommend switching the left mouse button back, the right mouse button attacks are often good enough that it is more important for you to be able to do them quickly than for you to as quickly interact. 2. Yes with the artifact pedestal you are missing something very obvious, try looking under where it says the word "You." 3. Effectively over 90% of people who watch you and have played Ark are fine with you using console commands, also it really is good to look through the actual settings in the section where you edit save settings such as gathering rates (I'm to tired to remember the actual name for it, or to give a nice concise description of what it is.) 4. Quick tip when you are on a tame as strong as Diego Senior and you are in that difficulty of cave, fighting your way through is typically better. Also try making a bed near the entrances of caves that you are trying so that you can respawn next to them, and with caves like that one having more than one tame with you is typically a bad idea. 5. A Bat did not in fact knock you off of that ledge, you bounced off of the wall when jumping. 6. I'm pretty sure that the ascendant Sabre tooth saddle was in fact a blueprint (I write these mid watch so when I wrote this you hadn't realised yet.) 7. I don't think that I saw a death message for Diego Senior, so there is a very small chance that he glitched through the ceiling and survived.
Preps for cave ALWAYS include: - sleeping bags outside (beds) - healing poitions / spare water canteens - extra rations - consumed calien soup and/or fria curry (potentially both if needed) - optionally boost consumables If cave is difficult, make small hut at the entrance with fridge and supporting stuff and spare gear Don't speedrun, unless you know the ropes of the particular cave. Cave dinos will respawn in couple of tens minutes. It's part of the equation.
Butch 5 things! 1: you can make canteens they are the best water carriers in the game I think 2: you can craft med brews which gradually heal you 3: no more stone tools 4: focus on levels for your Dino’s 5: 1 Dino per cave is best because… well Idk if these are spoilers if they are sorry.
It also carries more than 1 artifact. I tend to wait around until I get at least 4 of the same artifact in each cave. Put hhem all in my otter. 1 to dispkay, 3 to use with all 3 boss fights.... don't have to go in it again and saves time.
Dying in Ark doesn't make you bad at the game. It makes you human surrounded by dinosaurs. Dying to be reborn is actually part of the lore of the game. There's a few videos out there that tell the story without spoiling the game. I found them really interesting (and long). You'll learn the story behind the posh lady, the non English note lady and the Jurassic Park sounding guy. They also tell the story behind the bosses and obelisks which I found understanding their existence made the game feel even more immersive.
Loved this episode Butch, this one showed a lot of progress, even if its not tangible. You're learning from your losses, you're not ruminating over lost gear or dead tames, you're making a plan of action to beat that cave, and you're doing the work necessary. Its not always pretty, but this is pretty much the cycle of learning Ark, and it seems like you're finally applying the lessons the game has been brutally teaching you. Keep up the killer content dude, you're right on the cusp of big things on The Island.
its good to see you back in high spirits :). I would recommend taking a look around the south west of the island area around the red obelisk, there are some very important dino dossiers there that'll sort of point you in the right direction of what you need to tame. In particular for a......particular boss
You had me in the first few seconds, not gonna lie 😂 Instantly threw me back to the time(s) where my friends would log into Ark for the last time before quitting, lol Butch, there's one thing that stood out to me in this video though: You may wanna check your multipliers again, as i feel like they have been reset. When you gathered fiber in the cave or stuff with the Bronto, it was way too few for increased rates. In the same breath, you should make a backup of your savefiles at this point. You never know with Ark, after all.
BUTCH 15k hour ark vet here, I just caught up on the series been having it on in the background it’s quite good when I need a giggle lol NO SPOILERS but some super OP tips on what you’ve already discovered YOU NEED AN INDUSTRIAL FORGE, the argy and anky next to the metal mountain is good but best place for metal is the volcano. You don’t really need an army to take on a cave as much as you just really need a high level good saddle male and female pair (for the mate boost) of raptors, sabers, or even wolves. BIGGEST TIP NO SPOILER but that toxic cave can actually be survived with just wearing scuba tanks and that particular cave spawns tons of the dragonfly bugs which if you go in with a high level good saddle frog and eat the bugs it’s farms a CRAZY amount of cementing paste for you to start moving into the metal age of building. Oh and just one building tip, your doedic can harvest tons of stone hitting rocks you should use that to make stone Dino gates chained together as a fence instead of the quarter walls or make a chainsaw for tons of wood to make wooden Dino gates either way those are super fast methods and the Dino gate chain makes great Dino pins and every wall is a gate you can go through, keep on arking dude i genuinely look forward to this series P.S. the artefact pedestal has an equip slot like the saddle, and don’t underestimate the dino gate ability to be a pop up 1x1 box trap to lead in bears, rhino, Rex, therizino, megatherium, ext…btw to make gasoline put oil and hide in the forge, there’s a bunch of oil RIGHT next to your base off the coast in the ocean the rocks leave trails of oil
Dinos will happily eat any kibble higher than their favourite tier. So if you don't have the right ingredients for regular, then you can always see if you have the stuff to make one of the higher tiers.
Losing Diego got me man. Such a pitiful loss. But there’ll be more losses it’s just what comes with playing Ark. I’ve lost many a dino. Your content always makes me laugh, smile and gasp in fear but the adventures are always so much fun.
NGL, you had be at the beginning. I've seen a couple other people take pauses or breaks from ASA due to it's bugginess, crashes, and poor optimization. Regardless, I love that you are still plugging along. Cave armies have pros/cons. I prefer taking one strong dino (a lvl 200+ Bary with most levels pumped into HP and Melee). As you have already noticed each dino is different. a level 150 dodo would get bodied by a level 20 rex. What you have already realized (condensed) You need a fairly compact, high hp, high melee dino who can maneuver well. btw, 10/10 on the karaoke at the end!
Sabers a "Squishy" breed a Barry, imprint, MAKE SURE TO KEEP FISH on it. Get Otters, breed, imprint, level Melee to increase the het and cold protection
Personal input, that SouthEast Cave is one of the hardest caves in the entire game. The lava, the heat, the sheer number of enemies, and the risk of mega rabies. There is only one cave harder than the Lava Cave, which is the Polar North Cave.
One thing you might want to do is upgrade your water skins into bottles or canteens, they don’t leak so you have more reliable water, but they do cost rarer resources. You can make ascendant stuff if you have an ascendant blueprint. The only way to get that is either in a supply drop or cave chest. Like in that first cave when you died to the sarcos I remember you’d gotten a really nice ascendant raptor saddle blueprint and I thought it was a shame you lost it because it would have made your raptor army so much stronger. Then again this is why I default to putting a chest at the beginning along with the bed everyone keeps telling you to make and doubling back to drop anything really nice I find in caves off in the chest. Also I’ve found crafting a bookcase helps for blueprints, it can only store blueprints so it’s easier to find them. Also for caves like that with a lot of death pits you might want to tame some small to medium sized fliers like the bats and archaeopteryx to provide air support for you.
Oooh you are right, there is a soup to keep you cool… Calien Soup, and you CAN make it, in your cooking pot. Or more quickly and easily in an industrial cooker (WELL worth the cost to make).
Sleeping bags are like one time use respawn points butch. Place down outside caves and you can technically spawn just outside the cave as long as you want.
tip: you can force feed your dinos meat or berries to raise their health which can save them in a tricky spot like a cave or so, but just a warning it does take a while to heal them though but it is faster than just waiting
Watching you brings back memories of exploring the game for the first time. Thanks for your videos. I don’t know how good of a video this will make, but you need to prepare more for your cave expeditions. Without spoiling anything, set up a small hut outside the cave with a bed, a box with backup gear, and a backup dino. That way if you die inside you can quickly rush back in to save your dino and get your gear. Take it slow too. Fight a few dinos. Stop and heal. Then move forward. Repeat.
So, you're gonna spare us the Avril impression to give us that absolute gem of an ending bit. Just another reason why you're one of my favorite new-to-me youtubers. Please don't ever change. Also, you were doing surprisingly well on that second run. thought you were for sure going to do it, but alas a stupid bat... It hurt to watch so much that I actually winced and had my hands over my face. Finally looked up and saw you were doing the same thing. Definitely felt that. Yes, it is wiser to go through the caves with one high leveled dino instead of several. It will take a bit longer usually but it's much safer. For that cave i'd recommend taking a high saber, a pistol to get the bats attention from a distance and then when they get kited over kill them with your saber/bary. remember slow is smooth, smooth is fast. take your time, plan your engagements, be strategic, try to not bite off more than you can chew. If you pace yourself, you can make it through these caves much faster than having no plan and just trying to speedrun them. Especially since you've never done them before. Once you get a feel for the caves, sure you can make shortcuts here and there where you know you can anticipate but for now just take it slow. Kill every creature you can see but do it in intervals, like break up the fighting where you possibly can so you don't get overwhelmed. Also, you remember the antidote you had to make last episode to cure your swamp fever- make several of those to go in the caves with bats. It cures mega rabies in addition to swamp fever. mega rabies tanks your health so curing it quickly is best. For me I take several antidotes and it has a timer on it for 3 minutes that you are immune to rabies while it's active. Some people use medical brews (to regain health as fast as possible) as it's much more simple to craft but you also can use quite a bit more of them if you are constantly contracting rabies.
The two most important thing about gaming is to have fun, know when to walk away to catch your breath before going back in. you bug nemesis is a tricky tame much like the reapers in ASEs aberration map probably my favourite looking map in ASE. hahahahaha again didnt make a small shack with bed and spare gear before entering caves you'll learn the small tricks and this is what most people call the lava cave which isnt too bad the Ice cave is probably the hardest most brutal cave in all arks maps but dont worry it took me a few years of gaming ark every other day to figure it out and even now its still tough. Hint thyla breeding helps you can shoot off of them and they are tanky
Lol anyone else find themselves yelling at their screen at the things Butch is missing like he can hear you? No just me? Lmao the artifact pedestal scene was painful.
Just a few quick tips for cave runs...a thyla is essential. Do cave runs with good armor, health potions, weapons and just take your time and kill everything in the cave, a small portion at a time. Always put a sleeping bag at the entrance of a cave. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Leave every single thing you dont need at home. Berries, building materials, fiber, wood...you dont need any of that in your inventory. Also a few more QoL tips...it would help if you remapped your side buttons on your mouse for possibly a primary weapon and a tranq weapon. Your left hand will always be on the keyboard so you dont need to map your mounting/use button to your mouse...itll help with the panic dismounting in the middle of a fight. ❤️ you
I wonder how long its going to take him to realize that the preserving bins require spark power in order to PRESERVE things..... otherwise you might as well be storing food in a regular storage box...
You almost had it, dude. Wow. I’m so impressed, I always tend to over-prepare and that cave has still kicked my butt several times. Btw the lava doesn’t kill you instantly, but it does a certain amount of damage per tick, which is about half of a second. Between the heat and the lava and the megarabies (which you can get from bats) and bats still coming after you… that’s why you died almost instantly. Your health was already low. Final death blow was a bat, not the lava, according to your death message. Dinos take longer to die in the lava because their health is so much higher than yours. Also, bats do deal knockback, especially to smaller creatures. More sabers won’t be better, you’ll just lose them. You need a single good imprinted thyla or baryonyx. Or speed run (I can’t believe how close you got!) with one good imprinted saber and hope to get lucky. I was super impressed with how well the saber did. Most people grapple over that last bit by the artifact, but Diego just leaped over all of it. Bring med brews and antidote for the rabies, and keep them and a full canteen on your hot bar. Don’t bring a carno as they can’t jump, and raptors aren’t tanky enough. Then use a gun, and from a safe spot away from the lava, like in a tunnel, shoot at the bats. Usually they will aggro and come to you a few at a time. But even if they all come, if you are in a spot where you can’t be knocked into lava, you’ll have a chance. And DO bring medical brews (make those in your cooking pot) and if possible, antidote. If you don’t have antidote, I turn and run out of the cave if I get rabies. Let the timer tick down, eat cooked meat, take med brews, and wait it out. Go back in once you are over it and healed up. Oh also, if you bring a bary, take it fishing first. They heal pretty fast if they have raw fish to eat. Don’t feel bad for not knowing this stuff. This game is different… there’s no tutorial because it’s really meant to be played in a community. Even if you play solo, everyone learns by talking to each other about how to do stuff. UA-cam, Discord, Twitter, FB, Reddit… there are Ark communities all over, that’s how most of us learned this stuff. We didn’t figure it out on our own. I don’t think there is a single person in the 8 year history of this game, who figured it all out on their own. Not one.
Make book shelf, it can Hold 100 Bluprints, and eventually make Vaults it can hold 300 or 500 items, the Artifact Pedestal had a Middle Column labeled Trophy, I believe the artifact goes there
Every time a new video pops up and I see that thumbnail I think, "Yep, Butch got 'ARKed' again." Arked: When a player is suddenly bent over just as they believed everything was going to be okay. And for the record you're doing great, you just don't know as much because unlike the rest of us you're not looking up how to do everything.
You have to equip the artifact stand with the artifact. You put the artifact in the artifact stand inventory. Its like how a dino has a inventory and a saddle spot. You have to put the artifact in the "saddle" spot on the artifact to display it.
Hi Butch, I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos so far. With that artifact trophy display you were putting it into the wrong slot, it doesn't go into the inventory it goes into the middle part of the menu. I'm glad to see you wanting to get into kibble, that's going to make your tames a lot faster! Dinos will naturally pop out unfertilized eggs.. (which also work for Kibble) ..assuming they have a mated opposite gender near them, thus the little hearts you see over their heads. And there's something you can do to make them lay those unfertilized eggs even more quickly, go tame an Oviraptor, put it near the dinos that you want to lay more eggs, then put a bunch of stuff into the Oviraptors inventory so it's too heavy to move and put it on wandering, that will give all the dinos around it an egg laying buff, you will see a little flashing egg icons above them when the buff is in effect. The Oviraptor also has a setting that it will automatically pick up eggs around it. Keep Arking, you'll get there, it's a very hard love but rewarding game! ❤
GUYS IM NOT VERY GOOD AT THE GAME BUT WE MOVE
And we're here for it, regardless of how it goes.
no matter what the true purpose is to have fun an enjoy the game :)
plus the giga who is the beast of ark can be found on high mountins and they are very dangerous
How's it
You know that screetch that happens as tames start to die ? Well that was me this morning as you said you were quitting Ark! Not nice! Lol
The artifact thing you need to put the artifact in the trohy slot (not just the invintory)
33:48 - First thing you do when you open ark again is :THROW OUT ALL STONE TOOLS YOU HAVE!!! OOOOUUUUTTTT!!!
And thats why you only take 1 Dino in a cave... and use a Baby Dino so your Parents can produce an infinite amount of "Cave sacrifices"
Clarifying, a grown baby... an adult offspring of dinos you keep back at base.
8:01 there is a spot for u to place the artifact in the place where you would put a dino's saddle.

Butch if you ever want to speed run a cave in the future, put sleeping bags right outside the entrance

Everyone keeps telling him this 😂😂
Also health potions ... useful in every situation and not hard to make :)

80 hours in. Making kibble. Still hasn’t made a sleeping bag. You go Butch!!!! You go brother. ❤
Little tip: You can make medical brews(red bottles) in the cooking pot. They heal a lot + very cheap. This will provide more time in the lava cave and you won't need to be in a rush
Also wear the best ghillie you can afford to lose
Oh, you went into THAT cave... Im sry.
That cave is nasty, just nasty... And Ark made sure to have all the spawn clump up in the most narrow horrible places that you don't want to fall 😂

I do the opposite, it’s easier to name my breeders and then not name the offspring. You also don’t get as attached if you don’t name them.
Every time that Butch uploads my day gets 50% better (:
Your preservation bins need spark powder in order to work…
Cooked meat+ Oil in a preservation bin= Jerky.
And your Artifact stand has another slot in the top left.
Don’t worry, you’re doing great.
Googling small things like you do here and there is necessary, not spoily
Agreed don't feel bad Googling those sorts of things, we all do it and it's necessary for Ark
Butch needs an ovitaptor now to collect his eggs and a dung beetle for fertilizer and oil. So worth having both!
1. Tame an otter! Helps with fortitude. 2. Craft or use ghillie suit! Penguins=organic polymer. 3. Read what each consumable (soups and potions) do, and utilize them! Perserving bin: spark powder, oil, and cooked prime/meat= jerky. 4. Breed high level dinos and imprint babies! Imprinting=better animals. 5. Get a Yutyrannus! Sadly welcome to the Lava cave. Speed is never the plan in caves I have found out. Love ya brother. Great series.
Let this be a lesson. Never rush a cave. Go in, scout, retreat, Prepare.
😂 It says TROPHY right there 😂😂😂 you put the artifact in like a saddle

Butch you need to place the artifact in the trophy slot of the Artifact Pedestal, not just in its inventory😅.
32:50 Who else's heart sank as they saw he picking a stone pickaxe to get crystal? XD
Look, Otters are also good at regulating temperature, they stay on your shoulder just like Spike did (RIP o7)
Love you Ark vids, bro. TIP: put a foundation and a bed outside of the cave. If you die in the cave, you can respawn right outside and try to run back in naked to grab your stuff.
I’d like to see you naked going to grab stuff in middle of lava 😂

really love the outro music on this one
Forget sabre for caves. High level thyla, good saddle if poss. Job done.
Small tip, the Ghillie armor isn't just camouflage. its the best heat resistant gear available to you. Same for fur armor and cold.
Calien soup is what you need for hot biomes you have the recipe in storage along with another you'll need for cold biomes, don't forget to build a couple of fridges use one for all your eggs and the other for crops and food.
Butch you're on the right track. Get another argentavis and level weight, then you can come back with as much metal and crystal as your heart desires

Big tip; speed runs are a great strategy for caves, but do them with failing in mind! Don’t take all your high level stuff and Dino’s in there but breed a bunch of Dino’s for expendable use in the cave. This way you won’t lose hours of work but just minutes
Here are my notes for this video
1. Obviously you do whatever you find easiest, but I would personally recommend switching the left mouse button back, the right mouse button attacks are often good enough that it is more important for you to be able to do them quickly than for you to as quickly interact.
2. Yes with the artifact pedestal you are missing something very obvious, try looking under where it says the word "You."
3. Effectively over 90% of people who watch you and have played Ark are fine with you using console commands, also it really is good to look through the actual settings in the section where you edit save settings such as gathering rates (I'm to tired to remember the actual name for it, or to give a nice concise description of what it is.)
6. I'm pretty sure that the ascendant Sabre tooth saddle was in fact a blueprint (I write these mid watch so when I wrote this you hadn't realised yet.)
7. I don't think that I saw a death message for Diego Senior, so there is a very small chance that he glitched through the ceiling and survived.
He bounced off something but if it was the wall its hit box is way bigger than it should be.
Preps for cave ALWAYS include:
- sleeping bags outside (beds)
- healing poitions / spare water canteens
- extra rations
- consumed calien soup and/or fria curry (potentially both if needed)
- optionally boost consumables
If cave is difficult, make small hut at the entrance with fridge and supporting stuff and spare gear
Don't speedrun, unless you know the ropes of the particular cave. Cave dinos will respawn in couple of tens minutes. It's part of the equation.
... and I indeed forgot to mention antidotes!
Butch 5 things!
1: you can make canteens they are the best water carriers in the game I think
2: you can craft med brews which gradually heal you
3: no more stone tools
4: focus on levels for your Dino’s
5: 1 Dino per cave is best because… well
Idk if these are spoilers if they are sorry.
You need an otter to help with the temperature control. Carrying an otter gives heat and cold resist bonuses.
It also carries more than 1 artifact. I tend to wait around until I get at least 4 of the same artifact in each cave. Put hhem all in my otter. 1 to dispkay, 3 to use with all 3 boss fights.... don't have to go in it again and saves time.
Press F to respect the fallen solider diego
I have some horror stories in that cave... This episode is surely going to trigger my ptsd
Dodos are great for getting eggs for kibble!
You need to tame an Oviraptor. They increase your likelihood of getting an egg without your dinos mating and they can pick up all your eggs passively
Jesus the beginning scared me, I didn’t believe it but it definitely spooked me
A couple of critters you might want to look into taming, dung beetle and oviraptor. They're extremely useful!
Bertha will give you some FANTASTIC kibble
You should try looking into Imprinting dino babies and learning what it does! Its essentiel to progress
18:43 even Diego shat himself in shock. Like he knew this is where I die.
39:34, Frodo kills 145 argy that couldve been tamed
"welll innn frodo"
8:39 was painful.
you equip the artifact like a saddle
its good to see you back in high spirits :). I would recommend taking a look around the south west of the island area around the red obelisk, there are some very important dino dossiers there that'll sort of point you in the right direction of what you need to tame. In particular for a......particular boss
Fishing is a great way to get blueprints.
Remember you have an ascended Bary saddle somewhere!!
this man uploads so much… amazing
You had me in the first few seconds, not gonna lie 😂
Instantly threw me back to the time(s) where my friends would log into Ark for the last time before quitting, lol
Butch, there's one thing that stood out to me in this video though: You may wanna check your multipliers again, as i feel like they have been reset. When you gathered fiber in the cave or stuff with the Bronto, it was way too few for increased rates. In the same breath, you should make a backup of your savefiles at this point. You never know with Ark, after all.
Burtha is your best berry gather you have at the moment
Loving these ark videos! That was a fun first attempt at the lava cave. Those lava pools have claimed so many dinos.
0:15 You had me on the first half, not gonna lie.
Pro tip when you go caving, just bring hide armor any hide armor the best you can because it’s easily repairable inside the cage
Amen! I'd rather be mad or defeated in Ark than mad or defeated at work.
R.I.P. Diego Senior, you were a good and faithful kitteh.
Key word.. Industrial forge and industrial cooker, huge time saver 👀😂
Oooh you are right, there is a soup to keep you cool… Calien Soup, and you CAN make it, in your cooking pot. Or more quickly and easily in an industrial cooker (WELL worth the cost to make).
The end scroll is *chef's kiss*
When you get stuck on dinos try to crouch… sometimes helps to make you move out
To avoid megarabies from bats : increase resistance to 38, hence no antidote needed. For heat or cold, tame an otter with lot of melee for insulation.
36:43 Butch: How tf do you make a meat jerky?
seconds later: 37:02 there it is!
Repeat.
I was getting so ready for the outro music butch
Another great video. Glad you seem to be getting better. Dont worry - you're doing great. Nothing worth doing was ever easy.
❤️ you
No disappointment watching you learn is how I love the game so much from me starting
ADDICTED TO UR PLAYTHROUGH, INTRO GOT MY HEART BUMPIN
you should make a special episode for the inventory management, there's a lot of people, myself included, who love to watch things getting organized
Not one.
Never quit ark. Best ark series on UA-cam!
Make book shelf, it can Hold 100 Bluprints, and eventually make Vaults it can hold 300 or 500 items, the Artifact Pedestal had a Middle Column labeled Trophy, I believe the artifact goes there
as much as it winds me up you jumping off.... watching you is Fantastic... KEEP BEING YOU...
Think the best part of the video has to butch's outro without a doubt. What a voice. 44:50
Omg...the anxiety I had watching this... pretty much the exact same thing happened to me in that damn cave...I learned not to rush.
Every time a new video pops up and I see that thumbnail I think, "Yep, Butch got 'ARKed' again."
Arked: When a player is suddenly bent over just as they believed everything was going to be okay.
Quality over quantity in those caves
Bary only eats fish and it helps them heal super fast. Best cave mount.
Alawys throw down some sleepingbags and spare armore outside cave entrances
you have now reached the love hate relationship with ark..
2800 hours in ARK and I've never, not even one time, thought about Overheating or Freezing.
