I really really like Taiwan. Moved here because of you, 3 years ago! Anyway, I find it fascinating that you don't live in Taipei. I feel the transportation ie youbike, buses, and ESPECIALLY MRT literally makes Taiwan, and is its best selling point imo! I just love how interconnected the city is. I'm able to get anywhere with ease. And so much international food, activities, social life etc. I first lived in Tainan and enjoyed it but it felt stagnant compared to Taipei.

Prozzie, it is so great to see you in so many places that I have been in Miaoli. I am jist bummed that I am not there this year. Hopefully plane tickets will be cheaper next year.
As for as I know, 勝興train station should be the highest station of the Taiwan Railway Western Main Line (402 Meter above the sea level), the temperature usually 2~3 degrees lower than the downtown of Mioli. It's a good place to visit.

That Baishatun Gongtian Temple is very close (literally around the corner) to another one called the Baishatun Tiande temple. I visited it in Episode 2 of my Travelling Taiwan series. It was a really beautiful temple, I didn't find the Gongtian Temple at the time though. The Xinpu seawall is also very close to there too. If your incense prayers work for getting you more subs then perhaps I'll need to start doing that too with all those temples I've visited and shown so far. 😅
I don't have a lot of interest in Taiwan I just feel like Taiwan kind of still lives in the past And I know that Taiwan has a lot of really modern stuff but it just feels like it's stuck in the 80s and the 90s for me. The personally I'm much preferred Japan I think it's just more colorful and it's flashier and it has a really cool mix between modern and futuristic while also keeping the past architecture and technology and kind of merging it with the modern world. But Taiwan is very beautiful and it has such a rich vibrant culture and the people are always really nice and there's just so much to see just like Japan. So I'm not dunking on Taiwan it is a beautiful country it is a paradise full of unbelievable sites and amazing people and so many once-in-a-lifetime things to see and experience.
You can call 菜脯 sun dry radishes. I believe you will agree that Taiwan in general is a very convenient place to live even the temple you went, there are several different gods within one roof and they all in charge different things. So you can just go to one place and make all your wishes without traveling to another place. Cheers

我住苗栗縣～山區～😚白沙屯附近的一家牛肉麵、滷味～人很多（靠海邊～獨棟～不知道是不是同一家😂）最近正是水梨出產季節～😋（很好吃）；勝興車站～接近黃昏的時候去，有低機率遇到，整座山巒起大霧的朦朧美景（很夢幻～炎熱的天氣遇到機率比較高一點），台灣的夏天芒果冰（台南、玉井水果市場～便宜又好吃）。

在我認識住苗栗的朋友之前，我對苗栗完全不感興趣，但是自從認識一位熱情的苗栗在地朋友後，她戴我到處去苗栗觀光，幾次下來讓我對苗栗產生了很大的好感
台中台南宜蘭都有很多放鬆舒服安靜的地方跟景點。
因天候和水土，苗栗的農漁畜家禽產品質風味都很好
但因都屬小農經濟，外縣市的人知道者不多....
