starting currents in AC with induction motors are between 150% to 350% ,. ACs with BLDC motors can start at 20-30% load thus they are good for the places which have generator backup as well as places where the line transformer in the street is already overloaded.
All manufacturers should switch from Induction motors to BLDC motors in most appliances so that the load on grid or local generator is less when power restarts after failure.
Inverter ACs are all BLDC motors, plus the LG Dual invertor AC have variable speed so they tend to run ( ie compressor) at lower capacity for longer time which removes humidity better than one which runs for shorter time .this is useful espicially when inside outside temp is not much or when humidity is high.
This point about BLDC motor and Rotary compressor should be highlighted because they help reduce the installed capacity of the Transformers and Generators be they Local backup Generators or Power generation company generators.
To give you an example. If we have 4 ACs with Compressors with induction motors with total 6 KVA capacity then if you turn them on simultaneously( happens when power comes back after power cut or switches to local backup generator. ) the starting load can be as much as 9- 12 KVA. So your generator must be minimum 15 KVA( running at 85% max starting load) . This happens for just few micro seconds. however if your generator doesnt have this extra capacity it will shut down,
Same happens when millions of ACs are turned on when a power outage happens in a city. Thus grid operators divide areas and switch them on one by one.
on a National scale 30% power saving can be enormous . In a city which has 30 lakh ACs you are talking dozens of Megawatt saving per hour as well as in installed capacity of power generators.
Just like LED lights have saved hundreds of megawatts installed capacity in the country and in regular consumption same way BLDC motors in AC, Refrigrators, Fans, Coolers can save the public tens thousands of crores in cost of generating and transmission equippment and in daily consumption costs.
imagine the level of environmental costs by reducing consumption by hundreds of megawatts.

My budget is around 30-33k, while comparing prices I notice that these are costing closed to few split ac(more compact). Should I still go for window ac or can consider a split type? If window then which one you would suggest.

I have a small doubt regarding V-Guard iD4 Ace 5540. When I turn on the switch it makes sound 2 times like "cut-cut" and starts the appliances after around 30 seconds delay. Should that sound concern me? Or is it ok to have this sound?

Sir aapne ogeneral k window ac ko consider ni kiya which is the best window ac in India atleast according to me.
I am having 6 ogeneral 1.5 ton window ac from the last 6-8 years and it is just mind blowing.
Hitachi ka bhi ac maine use kiya hai but 2 saal k andar hi usko change kr diya ogeneral se hitachi se zyada bekaar ac maine aajtk ni use kiya 3 hitachi ka ac mai use krta tha tino ko within 2-4 years me maine change karaya coz vo cooling hi ni kr pata tha aur service to itni ghatya hai k bata bhi ni sakte. Currently i have 6 ogeneral window ac 2 for my shop and the rest for my home and i am fully satisfied with that infact maine bohot logon ko recommend kiya ogeneral lene k liye aur volog bhi bht zyada khush hai usse.

General & Mitsubishi ACs are great but expensive. Most people want ACs under budget, which is why I don't include them in these comparison videos

You forgot very important details about LG inverted … it’s Wi-Fi enabled and can be controlled via LG smart app .. it has smart diagnostic and also can tell u how much % of your outer filter is dirty and requires cleaning or not ….cons is that the sensors are costly and if damaged outside of warranty costs 8k 😊 Thank me later

Why have you compared LG product PW-Q18WUXA and not JW-Q18WUZA? Both are similar in design however the latter has a cooling capacity of 5000 W (air throw 459) as compared to the former 4700 W (air throw 318). Is it the price points that use used to stabilize the comparison?
