DX7 Threading

Hello everyone! Boki here to teach you guys the do's and don'ts in threading the DX7. Super easy but it's always nice to have a person run it through with you, in case you missed a step! This goes for all the HZL-DX, and HZL-F models.

Pressure foot up

Hi Boki! I noticed you say the presser foot should be down when threading. The video from Juki says it should be up, so now I’m not sure which one I should do.

Hi Tamara, so when you have the presser foot down, it locks the tension disks. It also, moves the presser foot out the way when you are using the needle threader. When the presser foot is up, the disks are open and you cant feel the thread moving into the disk. We thread our machines like we are flossing, keeping everything nice and tight and brought through all the way like a tough molar haha. You can thread whichever way, we find more success in doing it this way :) -Boki
