I am very happy to see Eid through Gigi’s eyes because I live in Saudi Arabia and we do not celebrate here. I only give the children some money and toys to make them happy, but I am very happy to see the video and I am grateful to you.😊❤

Really really good to see you and your channel grow..
Very unique....weldone...
Love it....
I always feel happy when I watch your tours, even if we differ in opinion. You are very special.
Really interesting video Gigi. Thanks for sharing. I’m enjoying your channel very much and cannot wait to go back there. Saving like mad
Thank you Rachel! Egypt is waiting for you 🥰
This is tbe Eid I wouldn't enjoy because im vegetarian lol. Thanks for sharing the atmosphere!!!
In minute 13 you said it's ( madrasa sultan Hassan ) and you were meaning mosque,,, so mosque in Arabic is gamee or masged
But it's amazing video anyway thanks a lot
Yeah I know madrasa means school, but on google maps that is what it is labeled as. That is why when I said that in the video, I put subtitles in the video saying mosque 🙂
Those kids are inquisitive but also know how to work it 😂
Lol yes they do! I love the kids, they really get the adrenaline pumping! 🤣 One second it's like "Oh, they're so cute!" next minute it's "Oh shit, run!" 🤣 Hilarious, every time.
Hello Giselle, thank you for this great video as always. From here I felt that spectacular atmosphere. I enjoyed watching from the beginning until the end. Ishallah, next year I will be in Egypt during this festivities.
Gracias Carlos! I know you and I both love Egypt very much 😍 And thank you for watching the full video!! ❤ Holidays in Egypt are so awesome, I know the atmosphere tends to be much more quiet a bit before and after a holiday in Egypt, but oh boy, on the day of festivities it is always a PARTY! 😄😍🎉
@Gventures Hola Giselle, yes I see..haha One of the things very funny was the kids' interaction ..gosh...full of energy, but as well very informative video about this holiday. Gracias.
i been waitin this video so bad
Eh?
your videos are really entertaining
Thank you! I love making them, and everyone is a lot of fun. I love Egypt 😍
Wow, I want to go Egypt to celebrate Eid 😂😍🇵🇸
The holidays here are awesome 😍 Always a lot of fun
Here for it ❤🎉
Lovely video as usual. How lovely to be there to witness the celebrations. Appreciate all the research you put into your videos. Sending love ❤
Thank you so much! 🥰🙏❤️
Well explain well done 👍 thank you be safe and enjoy your time
Thank you! 🥰🙏
thank you for sharing
Very good video 👍
You should visit this mosque later time without that over crowded site but when it is much quieter,
Some Architects consider it the as the second best architectural work after Taj Mahal in India in terms of
Architectural design inside the Mosque which is amazing and ex US president Obama had visited that
place when he was in Egypt and he loved it.
Oh I of course have been here before when it wasn't a holiday. Very beautiful mosque indeed!
Wonderful Video ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
as always a good movie🎉
Thank you Rafael! 🙏
@@Gventures for 30 days vacation in second home Hurghada
18:15 The twin mosques , Sultan Hasan and Al Rifa'i . Although they look alike but the first was built in the 14th century, 1356 exactly and the second was built in the 19th century.
😯Oh really?! I didn't know that
@@Gventures Yeah there's 500 years approximately between them
@@maxman5573 Wow, that's crazy. I knew about the older mosque, but didn't realize the other one was so recent
@@Gventures 150 years ago is not so recent 😂

i wanna move to egypt but i have no friends there idk how you do it
Make friends 😎🥰
I couldn’t tell difference between ur phone and action camera. Quality almost look identical
Great! I tried to move and walk a lot more slowly while using my phone, because the stabilization is not so great. Also, my action camera has more of a wide-angle, so it can capture more (and I also use an external mic for better audio). If I vlogged with my phone it would be a lot more evident due to the sound quality and the jostling while I walk. But glad to hear it wasn't too noticeable in the video! Both my phone and action are good quality, I made sure of that when buying my equipment 😁 Thanks Ehab! 🙏
Cairo, the city of contrasts. when i juxtapose today's video with the one at the cattle market, I cant believe this is the same city let alone the same country. Some of those streets you were driving in during the dark of the early dawn were mighty clean and impressive. what part of Cairo was that? I am glad you did not show the slaughtering of the animals. Halal butchering i understand is very cruel. do they give Egyptian citizenship to foreigners? if they do, would you consider becoming an Egyptian citizen, you seem to like Egypt and the locals seem impressed with you too.
I think the streets you are talking about were in downtown, in the video I drove from Tahrir Square to Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan. You could actually input that into google maps and more or less see the route I took, I went down El Tahrir street, passed by Abdeen Garden in El Gomhoreya Square, then followed Sekat Rateb Basha Al Kber street into Ali Basha street, before hitting Al Qalaaha and finally El Sultan Hassan street (that's the part where I see the Citadel of Salah El-Din). The square in front of the mosque is called Salah Al-Din Square.
Halal butchering is actually supposed to be very humane, the animals are not supposed to be scared or see the blood. But I can't say that's actually happening, it seems like it probably is not, from what I have witnessed in the past. But yeah, lots of viewers do not want to see that, and also UA-cam does not like it 😅
There are ways to become a citizen, but it is a long and arduous process. Although if I was offered citizenship, I would certainly not decline it! I love living here and plan to live here for many years to come ❤ Thank you Cherif! 🙏
Nice ❤
Hi GVentures I finally made 😢 it to Egypt we are

32:43 The law changed last year and anyone can film anywhere in public except filming military, so next time don't allow anyone to make you stop filming and let them know that they need to educate themselves about the law
www.loc.gov/item/global-legal-monitor/2022-09-08/egypt-prime-minister-issues-new-rules-on-personal-photography-in-public-places/
Yeah, I was living here when they changed that decree (in August of 2022). So while public photography and street photography/filming is now permitted, it is still banned to take photos of military, police, or government buildings like embassies and such. The issue with that is, there are police in many areas where I am filming the crowd, people, or an event, so they may accidentally appear in my shot while I am recording, but my intention is never to film them, just the festivities. The other issue is, the police can still make a problem for you and be a hassle, even if these are the rules. So, to make it easier for myself and avoid any issues, I find it better to just leave that certain area and go around to another side. I've been filming videos in Egypt every week for the last 2.5 years so I have definitely had my run-ins with the police, and unfortunately not everyone is aware of this and some like to flaunt their authority. Kind of a gray area because of that. But I appreciate you sending me that info!
Welcome to Egypt, and do not be disturbed by fanatical people in the comments or street❤
When you say that you are from usa, they will be afraid to bother you. May God protect you
Please put arabic translation on ur video to get more views
Kol sana w enty tayba❤❤
First I want to say, you CAN turn on Arabic subtitles in UA-cam settings in the video! I enabled them by adding them. First, you need to click on "CC" (subtitles/closed captions) at the bottom of the video that is playing. Then click on "settings". Click on subtitles, then select "auto translate" and choose Arabic. They might not be 100% accurate, but I've been told they were pretty accurate, and definitely better than nothing.
As far as me adding Arabic subtitles myself, manually? I would like to put Arabic subtitles directly into the video, but there is no easy way to do that. There are only a few options:
1) write the subtitles myself, throughout the entire video. That means every time someone starts speaking (at the exact second they start speaking), I must input a text box, write what they are saying, cut the box when they stop, and start the next time they speak. Not only is that A LOT (A LOT!!!) of work, and very time consuming, but I don't even know how to write in Arabic, so I simply can't do that.
The other option is to:
2) Pay someone to translate every single video I make. I am not rich, so I am unwilling to do that. But even if I was, that means I am no longer independent with my ability to make videos, but must rely upon someone to translate them AFTER I finish making them. Sometimes I am very late to record, edit and upload a video to UA-cam, and barely finish editing it before it needs to upload on Sunday (my regular upload day every week). I don't have the time or the money to be paying someone to translate every video for me.
There may be some AI software that can detect what people are saying in the future, but currently, nothing like that is available to me.
I have done what I can with my videos, and like I said, I wish I could add Arabic subtitles, but for now, it's just going to have to be the Arabic subtitles that UA-cam auto-generates.
Thanks for watching, kol sana wenta taybeb! 🙏❤
@@Gventures may god bless u❤
The whole family celebrating the prayers is a nice new practice, used to be exclusively for the males.
No, it is not like that, but in mosques or Eid prayers, women and men are separated, as men pray in a group by themselves and women in another group. As for the normal daily prayers, it is preferable for women to pray in their homes, so that they do not become exhausted.
👍
I remember my dad telling me that in Iraq if a woman had any kind of "funky" non-natural hair color like platinum blonde, blue, or red like yours, that it would be seen as a sign of promiscuity 😂. I'm just wondering if it's kind of the same in Egypt now or not? I'd imagine not.
I dunno, probably some old school people still think like this. But I get a fair amount of compliments from both men and women for my hair too, so 🤷🏻♀️
Can you please tell me what's ur fav cigarettes in egypt and high quality tobacco i was smoking red captain black but i can't find it everywhere I'm looking for better one or maybe same quality 😢💔

Hi Sabina, welcome to Cairo! I do like to meet subscribers sometimes, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have the time for the next few days. I have work all day, and must go record videos right after. Thank you so much for your support though! ❤️🙏
I think those international language schools Egyptians spend tons of money on deserve a big fat F. All I heard was what is your name. Where are you from and welcome😂😂😂. This js a beautiful mosque. It needs a good wash. Under all of the pollution and dirt is a white building no doubt. This was fun to watch. Kids were super hyper but it is Eid. If you had had candy to give the kids it would prob have gotten crazy. Kol sanaa wa inti tayiba ya Gigi!
Fiola.....where are you from? I can barely speak any Arabic and I am in THEIR country. I don't expect them to know English, especially the little ones. And what makes you think these kids are going to international schools, anyway? I think the mosque is beautiful the way it is. Cairo is in the Sahara Desert. If it was ever actually white and was washed to be so, it would just be dusty and brown again within a week, that's the environment for you.
Ahaha, if I had given out candy, I probably would have disappeared under a mob of kids trampling me to get their sweets, never to be seen again 🤣
every time i say i will just take a sneak peek ... 5 minutes maybe ... now it's 20 minutes counting and i surely will watch it all ... you are doing a great coverage GG ... keep on the good vibes

Fuck how people make life very expensive meat costs 1kg 400 pounds 500 8€ to 10€ per kilo!
I know, the prices of meat are absolutely insane

Oooooh! I'm scared 🤣
Get a life 🙄😆
@@Gventuresat this rate this must be sarcasm cuz I've never seen anyone doing better representation and full explanation of the Eid 😂like the whole meat given to poor part, you might as well be our saviour for expressing that, after all, everyone who isn't vegan is indirectly still ending cows, atleast in Eid much of it goes to the poor and needy and some to relatives to retain familial bonds that are often forgotten
Ty ❤
@@juska4235 😆I wish it was, but I really think not. Maybe they only watched the intro and then left that comment. I get these comments every so often, always the same thing "Reporting you to Egyptian authorities." Go right ahead! 🤣
Thanks juska 😄🙏
I appreciate the positive energy in your videos, but this is a savage and cruel holiday, Al-Adha is basically a day of massacres and blood against animals, so that Daddy Allah is happy.
🤣You should see the factory farms in the US!
@@Gventures True, I don't deny that. I am from the Middle East (Jordan) I love your channel
@@nothingness4884 Thank you 🥰🙏
@@nothingness4884so what then? The vast majority of the world isn't vegan, why aren't you calling them cruel and savage? Being blinded by looks of things instead of realizing that it doesn't matter if you end an animal directly Vs indirectly is so ignorant and shallow, in the end Muslims share the same meat to poor that can't eat well and to relatives to restore familial bonds that are forgotten , while others end animals out of sight to eat em just alone with none of the benefits of adha and feel good about it.
@@nothingness4884and if you're from Jordan that's even worse, someone comes from far away, uses their brain for 5 minutes and passes right thro the culture shock, realizes that people that aren't vegan are all doing the same indirectly so what's the difference then except for sharing being a rule on this one, making it better, and yet you didn't even use ur brain for a minute? 😂 In all cases I expect you to be not only a vegan but one that is as toxic as the vegan teacher to say such things, like go around calling every non vegan a savage and cruel person, otherwise you're just a biased racist against your own even., meanings it's better you be a toxic vegan in this case. 😂
EUGHHHHH What an awful tradition! those poor animals
Oh so you don’t eat chicken or turkey they are animals too
🤣 If you eat meat, then you are being willfully ignorant of how animals are treated and killed before you consume it on your dinner plate
Atleast in Eid poor people get to eat, meanwhile all over the world the vast majority isn't vegan and does the exact same just not Infront of their eyes and eats alone instead of sharing some to poor and relatives.
Wow very 😎
