Thanks for posting this video.
The HollyHobs what are your favorite beatles songs to play and/or listen to?
while talking about an auto accident you showed a train bruh
The HollyHobs so where did you move to? If it’s SoCal we have a lot of Beatles stuff. The Fab Four tribute band are amazing and they are based in OC and LA. Breakfast with the Beatles is based here.
The HollyHobs, are you going to do the other Beatles? I like to know ten interesting things about each other member.
I actually didn't know about him being a Monopoly fan. Learned a new Lennon thing today.
Rebel Belle same here, this thing almost made me cry, this little Johnny boi🥰
I would have loved to play with him
The UFO just wanted his Autograph
This deserves to be top comment
Because Ringo didn't give the UFO his

@@kipptt Yoko is a bitch.
@@kipptt Ya, I don't. She was a manipulative bitch. She hurt Julian time after time his whole life and caused him great pain and suffering. John shouldn't have allowed it, but given the drugs, the psychological impact of his upbringing, his overall vulnerable state-Yucko manipulated him without too much effort. Paul knows this. He was Uncle Paul to Julian and knows well of his suffering and tried his best to help Julian and Cynthia. I think Paul was trying to say something nice, but for most of the years he couldn't stand her personally and had a lot of resentment about all of the things she did to hurt Julian and for a time, Cynthia.
Ten interesting facts about John Lennon: He was In the Beatles
*Shocked pikiachu face*
HOLY MOLY MY THIRD EYE JUST OPENED
Lennon is a human and he's boy 😮😮
he was mentally ill. who else would be with yoko?
Wtf no way, don’t believe you

I always find it strangely endearing that John hated his own voice. He had one of the most vulnerable emotive voices of all time. That's why he's my favourite vocalist in the Beatles.
Google---->global truth project←--read “The Present” for the truth about life and death explained simply. It can change the world from page one. It is an absolute must-read.
Contrary to what this slightly misleading video would cause one to assume, John didn’t actually “hate” his own voice. He definitely wasn’t in love with his own voice and he did do a lot of double tracking and other vocal effects to change it, but he didn’t hate his voice. He was quite alright with it.
He was the best vocalist in the Beatles.
BTW Jimi Hendrix also hated his own voice.
@@tyronebiggums8660 Hate is a strong word.
John did not like his voice all that much.
Imagine if John would’ve been deported for the US. He would’ve never been shot outside his New York apartment and would most likely be alive till this day......
I've never thought about that... that's a new perspective that I'll NEVER get out of my head :(
GretschDog oh my gosh.....
@David McDonald he said he chose John because he would have easiest access to him. He had a long list of people, John's normal lifestyle made him an easy target. If he was overseas, he might have moved on down the list.
David McDonald - John and Yoko loved NYC because they could walk freely, taking in the sites, sounds and culture and most people respected their personal space and didn’t bother them. John was the most accessible of any Beatle.
I think he would rather have died fighting for peace, rather than been alive but not allowed to
So strange that John hated his voice. Of all the Beatles, I always liked his the best. Still do to this day. Hendrix supposedly hated his own voice, too. They both got it wrong.
Paul McCartney sings 3 times better
@@MrArmandioux lmao no
@@MrArmandioux Okay. I agree. Paul sings better, but I like the sound of John's voice more.
It's actually a pretty common among the greats, the first time Michael Jackson did the moonwalk only a few people cheered. It wasn't because it wasn't good but because they were so blown away by it that they were speechless. Michael wasn't happy with it and wished he would of stood on his toes longer after he did a spin coming out of the moonwalk.
I guess it's one of those things. The more they hate their voice, the better they sing.
John's granny glasses are the best thing to ever happen to the Beatles' physical appearances.

John was also a very possesive man. He even admit it. You can hear from his songs, like run for your life. Pretty dark imo

I just want to thank you for making songs about the Beatles. Im often criticized for listening to them (for liking "old people music") Your videos mean a lot to me so I just wanted to say thank you. Peace and love. ❤
Some time ago you replied to a comment that I made some time ago when I felt really lonly and sad. I really appreciated it. It helped me a lot thank you for what you do.
I wouldn't call The Beatles "old people music" . Their music is timeless!
i started a beatles copy band in 1975 age11 with twisted hands that didant even open (that opened my left playing guitar) then my daughter liked to do music with me,she became national champion at singing in 2000 age15 (upto 18 from every youth club) then her daughter probably after watching me started playing guitar and writing songs since she was age5 she is age11 now,,like my daughter she can be "a star" if she wants fame..My point is music leads to music, any flame we carry at whatever age spreads like fire,,my granddaughter leaving the infant school was given an award for encouraging others to play music ,an award the school invented for her but will give others in future...some may criticize you,but others will follow you,,carry the flame of good music ..stu
Both of my daughters who are 30+ have the Beatles in their top 5 bands!! My Granddaughters age 13 and 10 years old love the Beatles!! So I noticed that he got too thin and I wonder why! Yoko??????

John was a great cat lover(some say he was a crazy cat woman). He owned over a dozen cats throughout his life(not at one time).
named Jesus, Joseph & Mary. He was a Christian. His amazed comment was how the group had become "bigger than Jesus" for the kids. A stmt of FACT. And, he was devastated & very hurt that it was misunderstood, so much so that he wanted to stop touring. (According to the interviews & research I've done)
He may not have been a good driver but he drove in the 70s in America.

I wonder if his ufo sighting is what inspired Harry Nilsson’s the flying saucer song. The song is basically about two guys sitting in a restaurant and one of them shares their anticlimactic experience witnessing a ufo. The song was first released in 1976 but an unused early version from 1974 can be found. This was originally produced for Nilsson’s album Pussy Cats which was created with and produced by John Lennon! If anything I definitely recommend checking out Harry Nilsson’s music, in 1968 the Beatles cited him as their favorite singer/songwriter!
BAMAN Interesting! I knew Nilsson knew all of the Beatles but I did not realize they collaborated at all! That would be make sense. If Lennon told Nilsson about his experience, it definitely sounds like Nilsson write a song about his experience hearing Lennon’s experience.
Its mentioned in his song "nobody told me"
wow, first mentions that I've heard of many of these juicy tidbits! Thanks. From the Nilsson research I've done recently (because every year between 9Oct and 8Dec I delve into JL) your connections sound right on!! Harry said that on Fri one wk JL called him & invited him to England, then on Mon Paul called & convinced him to come (might be the reverse, but I believe Paul was Mon). The rest is history, and oh my.
I've been a big Beatles fan for years and i didn't know half of these, genuinely impressive.
It's not known outside Japan. He was a huge Japanophile & a frequent visitor of Yasukuni Shrine to respect the fallen.
this is of major importance. I'm a later Boomer and I remember the anti-Japanese attitudes. JL was born & raised during the horrific initial phases and constant bombing of London, then the 5 yrs of war. Therefore I'd predict that the Brits had a similar hatred/fear/disdain for Japan as did we here in the US (the "colonies") (altho ours is because of Pearl Harbor)

I'm sorry that John hated his voice!!
John Lennon always seemed to be a peaceful person and trustworthy. He was also a great singer, composer, etc. Cool sense of humor. I did learn some things about him. Too bad he was taking too soon.
I do not think you are right concerning John's early years.
He was quite violent at times. He beat Stu Sutcilffe up on one occasion.
The way he and the others fired Pete Best is not a good example of trustworthiness.
I think he improved as he got older.

@sjstrick0124 x I thought I'd heard it all. omg thanks for the details. Did you know that he called his Aunt Mimi EVERY WEEK after he left her home until the week before he died? According to the interview I saw with her.
Virtually everyone dislikes the sound of their own voice. Once they hear it recorded, that is. I would venture to say it's a universal phenomenon. The best thing I ever read on this issue was an article by Philip Jaekl in The Guardian: "The Real Reason the Sound of Your own Voice Makes you Cringe." You can look it up. It's available online. As a novelist and a musician myself, I've been in the studio both to record singing vocals and spoken-word audiobook narrations. I discovered separately on my own long ago the same idea that John Lennon had for asking George Martin to double-track his vocals--I got the idea from reading about why Patti Page vocals in the 1950s sounded so good in mono--it was double-tracking. So I was interested to learn this about John Lennon. Love the 10 Facts series--great concept. Great execution--on research plus good production values on video and audio. Congrats to Leah Robins and the HollyHobs. Like that name for a band--but I still like my band's name better: The Dossers.
yes, my best friend is a master musician & sound engineer, and I thought I had a sweet singing voice until he recorded me. I'm still reluctant to sing out loud, 10 yr later (I was harmonizing when he was recording one of his songs). My goal, oddly enough, is to do covers of JL songs someday -- esp the piano songs that I love & played. Imagine is deceptively hard to sing & play at the same time. (I'm working on it...time to go to the library's grand piano now that some of the lunacy of the past 2 yr is lightening up.)

Do a video on the rest of the Beatles!
I think it would be interesting to do a video about John’s two books and the thread between them and his song lyrics.
on my bucket list were 2 things, and I did both of them during the past 3 yr: see Yellow Submarine on the big screen again (50 yr later, and even better than the 1st time); and to buy a copy of "In His Own Write", which a friend had shown me in our high school hallway. Now I am doing major Beatles research before I can die....so I'll probably have to live another 20 yr
superb...
Fun fact: John became friends with the Prime Minister of the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Eric Williams, who was a big Beatles fan.
There are photos of the Prime Minister hanging out with John, George and Ringo on a beach in Trinidad.
They missed the most remarkable fact! John told Julian and Cynthia that if something should happen to him? John would send them a White feather, to prove that he was alright on the other side? In 1990, on a hotel in Australia Julian was on tour and one morning a group of aboriginals showed up, telling the Hotel manager that he simply must see Julian. The shaman in the tribe brought Julian a white feather, telling him "A man told me to give it to you! I couldnt see him clearly?". Neither Julian nor Cynthia had told anybody about Johns promise to send them the feather. Now "The White feather foundation" helps the native and poor people of Australia and many other nations!
Is it unhealthy that i new 9 of these pretty well already????

I got this fact in college from a luthier who used to work at the Ramirez classical guitar factory in. Madrid, Spain. When John Lennon went off with Brian Epstein to Spain in 1963, it wasn't to have an affair. The Beatles manager was a closet homosexual. It was to go to the Ramirez guitar factory to have classical guitars made for George, John and Paul. You can see George play his on "And I love her" song in the movie "A Hard Day's Night." George would also play his classical guitar on "Til there was you" with John. John had a Andres Segovia model Ramirez classical guitar made for himself. They can both be heard playing classical guitars on the song "I'll be back."
Right during the solo of "And I love her" you can see the label inside the sound hole which says "Ramirez" and "Madrid." The luthiers also made one for Paul McCartney which took longer. So the rumor that John took off to Spain was just a rumor. With the "Please Please Me" debut record riding the top of the charts, the Beatles were going to get taxed 98 percent so Brian Epstein started buying equipment, guitars as an asset tax writeoff so all their money wouldn't go to the Taxman. They upgraded all their instruments and even hired a publicist as this time named Derek Taylor. John actually did beat up a reporter at Paul McCartney's 21st birthday party for saying that John had an affair with Brian Epstein. John was married to Cynthia Lennon at the time. BTW, the luthier retired to the U.S.A and came to see our classical guitar music professor play while I was in college.
thanks for setting it straight. Hadn't heard about Paul's BD party. I'm sure all of the 4 would have said the same, but both John and Ringo said in interviews I recently saw (or read) that all of the press about them was "rubbish" -- and 50% were outright lies. (This lying of the press or reports goes back thru history!!! Not just today's world)
Saw a ufo !!! I bet the Beatles saw UFO's every night when Sgt pepper was released!! ✌
Here’s an interesting fact, on February 7, 2022. John has, as of this date, been absent from our lives for a year longer than he was on this earth. He was here for 40 years and 2 months minus 1 day. That length of time added to his death day, December 8, 1980, arrives at February 7, 2021, exactly one year ago. Also, today is the 58th anniversary of his and the three other Beatles’ arrival in America for the first time.
