i don't see the benefit of this unless u can run all the the plug ins by UAD I purchaseD, within Luna powered by the Mac CAN I?? or will there be a separate money extraction model and pay twice?
@Quinn Powell but will they tax my dual core Apollo interface or are they running natively on the Mac, as any normal DAW plugin would. That would be the biggest benefit, instead of constantly needing to upgrade Hardware to run these plug-ins.
Phil Woods no, they said on the live stream that LUNA, the extensions, and the exclusive virtual instruments run on the CPU, not like the UAD2 pug-ins.
@@Robert-kx8mp that's good. So oxide tape would be cpu. What about iterations of all other UA plugins I already own. Like 20 instances my Apollo can't run in a session. Really want to use my steroid powered Mac cpu for that.
Seems like analogue tape quality and neve processing hardware emulation should just be what the program is, not a plug in type set up. Why would I want to switch if all it does is integrate their own plug ins, I can already do that. (And to say nothing of synths and effects; reason and logic come with endless loads for free)
THANKS !!!!
I tried a demo version feels great

@Quinn Powell that is not my question at all. Will there be native versions of all my plugins so I can run them on the Mac. That would justify Luna.
@Quinn Powell thanks for answering that. Dang
One thing that I'd love to know is if the plugins/ extensions are all DSP driven?
