I wish you would get on the water conservation board! Someone could also show people how to catch and use rain water from their roof. Which would be good for bigger yards!
I would love to know where you get those spitter emitters. Excellent info! Appreciate the breakdown. I’m sure I’m wasting tons of water, and my trees are struggling every summer here in Vegas.
And if you lived in las Vegas they would charge FIVE times as much as what you pay in Mesa Az because they have to BUILD all the homes stadiums and shopping retail restaurants here bringing MORE people to Vegas USING all the water!
Great video! I'm left wondering about aspects of your system? You mention specific parts, but not all of what is needed for an efficient system. What is the soil combination necessary to ensure the soil stays fairly moist without root rot? What is the best emitter system? Thank you in advance.
We have so much wind with no shade or wind block. Our mulberry tree had lots of fruit but dried up from all the wind. Love your videos and we are planning our watering system now as well as shade and wind block. How far away from the house can I plant my banana trees? Thinking of using my south wall for winter warmth. Will use grey water to water them. 😊 Thanks!! Great video!
Not much mulch in the pots tho? I'm a relative beginner and don't have many in pots but do like to layer some chips on top. Chips are free and usually easy to find here. My guess is your personal water use estimate is high, not knowing your rates or anything, but that can be checked easily based on rainy months when no landscape watering is done. Very reasonable regardless. I'll be looking to reduce my watering duration settings.
Hey Jay...do you think in your honest opinion would it be doable to create something like this if you have Bermuda grass in your backyard? My yard is about 50/50.... Bermuda grass and just regular dirt that I plan on trying to recreate something like what you have here BUT....my thought is that eventually the Bermuda grass will work it's way over and then just eventually choke and smother and steal the nutrients away from all my trees and shrubs and things....any ideas ??? Thanks
Lol 10 cents🤣😂 thats ridiculous 🤣 the cheapest my water bill was 40 dollars and that was in January, even if you have your own well it would still cost more electricity to pump the water up then 10 cents so that's not true at all, and I have at least a foot of wood chips over my back yard like Jake Mase, I just wish people where honest on there videos..... since a lot of people learn from UA-cam.
Absolutely beautiful garden, plants look great and excellent ideal. Thanks you for all the information you provide.

Great video ,amazing garden, great water saving set up. Since you took your AC down do you use a swamp cooler now or how does the house stays at 78 F?
He took his AC down...what they heck??
Why???
Where did you get those HUGE pots for your trees?
I'd like to know what size are the pots too.

What GPH are your emitters?
Did someone mention Vermiculite in pots for moister retention??
How many m3 of water did you use for this month though?
Pls, show us the soil mix for your containers
I'm pretty sure Jay actually sells that soil he uses for the pots there on his property
Pro video and explanation.

Yes. Keep it simple. Start with large pots on shaded area of the yard
Can I grow a dwarf banana tree in a huge pot?
Are you still selling trees?
